38 Are you Mr. Tan?

Alliana put down the glass and smiled sweetly. "No, Uncle, you are wrong. I came here for another reason."

Javier looked away. "What is it?"

He wanted to leave this table and get away from this charming but dangerous woman, but it would be too ungentlemanly.

He really did not want to spend time with people like her.

"Well, Uncle, the thing is. I was told that I will find Mr. Tan here. But then I found you. And you said that you are Mr. Tan. Are you perhaps the same person I am looking for, or you simply have the same surname?"

Javier turned to her. His face was serious.

"Why are you looking for Mr. Tan?"

Alliana touched the rim of the glass with a fingertip while answering.

"Hmm. Who knows? Perhaps, I will ask him to date me? That person will know the reason once we meet."

Javier stared at Alliana.

What a peculiar woman. This woman clearly knew that he was that Mr. Tan, yet she cooperatively played along with him. What did she really want?

"What do you want?" He asked.
