The Cursed Child

In an alternate Earth, children started being born with strange powers and abilities. The governments of the world tried to hide these people until they could find an explanation for these occurrences; but as the birthrate of these people continued to grow, and the world itself began to change, it became harder and harder to hide their existence. Eventually, the world learned of the truth and they were formally called 'enhanced' humans. However, people are afraid of the unknown, so these enhanced humans were ostracized, discriminated, hated, and feared. And as if that wasn't enough, by the laws of the universe, all things come at a price. Those who wield fire were not immune to its power, constantly bearing burns and blisters. Those who could read minds could never stop, unable to differentiate between their thoughts and others, most with this power are driven to insanity. However, other people received minor powers with minor "catches", leading to a classification system of their "catches". In an ever changing world filled with no love for their kind, people with different levels of powers and different "catches", experienced many different things. ________________________________________________ Classifications from best to worst: Blessed (extremely helpful) Enhanced + (helpful) Enhanced (normal) Enhanced - (harmful) Cursed (extremely harmful). This novel follows these people through parts of their lives, periodically switching stories after one is finished, only to later show how those stories are interconnected, at which point it will follow a single story-line for the remainder of the novel. This is a passion project of mine that I haven't started yet, I would like to hear feedback on whether or not anybody would be interested in this type of story. I have the major points of the story in my head but since I'm just one person, I would be interested in any ideas for powers and their catches, better names for terminology, or just general questions.
