The Blood Moon

When I arrived at the garden, I saw Lena standing under the shadow of a tree with a sheathed short sword in her hand. She curled up in the cold wind until she saw me. Her vigilant eyes finally relaxed.

"Thank the heavens, you're finally here!" Lena quickly handed the sword to me. "When I took it out, I heard something chasing me from the back. I was so scared!"

"Lena, listen! This place is no longer safe. Run and never come back!" I pushed Lena's body towards the door.

However, this stubborn girl had no idea what was going on. She remained rooted to the spot like a nail.

"No, you promised to let me take revenge! I won't leave my home unless I die!"

"Lena, there's no time! If you don't leave now, it'll be too late!" I looked up at the moon which had already turned bright red. Many people would die tonight.
