4 chapter 3: Merc's pov

Everyone here is nervous and I'm no acception it really doesn't help that I can feel there anxiety and fear but I'm pretty sure I would be just as nervous if I couldn't, the bracelets really don't help since they... well I don't remember the exact words they used but to sum it up they stop us from using are curses by causing pain were are curse mostly happens.

"whats taking so long?" a boy asks while shaking and grabbing at his bracelet.

"there probably just trying to make us sweat" a girl who's a lot more nervous then she let's on says with more confidence then I thought possible.

As we all give are 2 cents no one notices the two boys dressed in silver who are on the stage until the shorter one yells into a microphone

"hi newbies welcome to orientation, im Len and this is Jacob we'll be in charge of you until you live through this week. Now since you've had the misfortune of being assigned to us the government either really wants you to die or thinks that you could fit into our house for your sake I hope its the first, today we'll go to the training grounds so we can see what all of you got. now any questions?" he asks looking like he couldn't give any less shits about this.

suddenly everyone's hand goes up, the taller one Jacob grabs the microphone.

"ok thanks Len for making them even more confused now I have to take questions, let's go with you, the one with a turtle tattooed on his neck" he calls out

"what are houses? and what about these bracelets? and what in the actual fuck is a 'curse'?" turtle yells up

"ok I meant you could only ask one but let's go with these, houses are your rank of power first you have copper, then green, then crystal, then silver, gold, and diamond, me and Len are currently silver but if we get stronger we'll go to gold. the bracelets you have stop your curse from getting out and being on use they surround your body with small electric pain so you can't use your curses. and finally curses are powers which most of you haven't had to worry about until now, everyone has a certain power and while you can have similar powers to someone no one has the same exact one. we call them curses because they started as a disease were your own curse killed you from the inside thanks to evolution and luck we can now use them and live but people are still working on a cure. any other questions?" he yells out of breath

"where are we" someone yells

"uhg ok now this, every country has a school were they send the cursed kids, you live here until you graduate or are cured, the schools have everything you need including stores, gyms, pools, etc. so we never get to leave campus. hope the ride here was a long one because thats the last time you'll be outside for a few years." Jacob says like that wouldn't fuck someone up???

Len takes the microphone again "ok now that he's out of breath question time is over, out to the training ground we go" he yells a little to happily.

keep calm Merc even animals can be trained so you'll be fine, right?
