3 •CHAPTER 3: FRIENDS•

19th of June 1812

I also haven't been able to write in my diary for a long time, I was just so busy this past week. My mother taught me household chores at most.

Fortunately, I was with my new friends Christina and Cassandra so listening was not too boring. They can really keep up, obviously they are used to household chores.

I also invite them to my favorite place in the yard. All I wonder is why I haven't seen Ysay these past few days after my birthday celebration. Maybe she is also busy with other duties so she can not be with me right now.

This whole week is hectic, tiring and stressful. I can't even call mom because we have a lot of work to do.

We combine the requirements in our nine subjects. both of my new friends as I can remember are busy but they are obviously smart, their grades are ace in every sub, they are also undeniably beautiful so they are popular throughout the school.

I just look like potato when I am next to them hehehe

I have also mastered the roundabouts that I go through every day because of the help of my friends.

"Eve aren't you hungry yet? Eat first don't stress yourself too much"

"Nope, I'm fine Sandra just the two of you first"

My eyes widened when Sandra suddenly closed the reviewer I was reading for our quiz later.

"Do that later! You reviewed enough last night. I could even swap your face with that notebook"

"And besides! It's been a week since class started and you don't even know anyone other than us, even crush! Hmp!" Kristie sighed.

I was about to say no when suddenly they pulled me away again and they grabbed my bag.

Always forcing me to do things their way.

While we were walking, they were just talking and I don't think I can follow what they are talking about.

Maybe they noticed that I was not keeping up so they stopped and scolded me.

God I just want to review and less talk!

"It's your birthday isn't it? That's why you are wearing that red dress" I nod when I answer Kristie's question.

"Just look at you! Your beautiful dress Eve is covered!"

I think nothing is wrong with my clothes. Brown leather jacket and boots. My natural red wavy hair is clipped by a black ribbon given by my mom along with the dress as a gift and I have my glasses.

The dress code is the skirt or the girls dress here and then the boys pants. It's my birthday today and I'm waiting for my mom later, she also said that I will wear the dress she gave me.

And nobody said what can I partner tsk

"We need to give you a make over" they were really together.

My chest was full of nervous when they pulled me back to the dorm. The break time is two hours but I am not concern at the time.

The things going inside their heads are the things to be concerned of! Gosh!

When we entered the room they removed my jacket, boots and glasses so I could not see anything, fortunately they said they would return my ribbon!

I just let them torture me because there is nothing I can do to fight the forces of these two.

Maybe an hour or so they lingered on my face and my hair. They put contact lenses on me so I

could see, it's a good thing they put colorless. I also felt them return the ribbon to my hair

"TADAAAANN! OUR NEW BORN GODDESS EVE!" Kristie said they are really satisfied with result.

"Our masterpiece Kristie" they embraced each other still ecstatic by their work.

They also prepared shoes for me that I do not know where they got them. Black pumps that are just the right height.

I looked at myself in the mirror and did not expect the outcome to be this good! They are great!

They were surprised when I suddenly hugged them. I am just so overwhelmed. I didn't have any other friends before because of my weirdos. I am lucky that I found friends here. Apart from mama, I no longer considered any other friend. So I feel refreshed and happy now.

"Thank you !!! I never look this better in my life. I probably feel that it is my birthday now" I also feel that they hugged me.

After our drama session, we went back to class and now I am just waiting for the day to end so I can see mom again. I'm excited to talk to her and tell my experiences so far.

It was boring and the day would end again when I thought that Ysay would not come to see me again.

Fortunately, she came to my room. We were the only two in the room because Cassandra and Kristie went home.

"I'm sorry Nirvana, if I suddenly disappeared in the past few days. I just have to do some things and I have a gift for you as a belated greeting" I was happy to approach her and hand over the gift she was giving me.

It was a well-drawn picture of us. I immediately hung it in the hallway outside my room, she just followed me.

"I like it! Thank you Ysay you really are my bestfriend" I hugged her and she hugged me back too. "But I have another gift for you" she said to me.

I happily waited for what it was again and she did not disappoint me. She pulled out the black ribbon and tied it to my long hair. It suits me.

"It is a symbol of our friendship that nothing can ruin even the next life. It will be as strong and a sign as your favorite tree in the garden. I swear it is, you?"

"Of course! I'm still your friend until the next lifetime I swear and promise it" She smiled at me and said goodbye before leaving the hallway.

She really is my best friend.
