8 Chapter Eight: Cupcakes and a Graduate!
Sakura and I became real friends since the day she told me that she has a crush on me. By the next week, I asked her if she has a phone number or even a phone. Fortunately she has a phone, and a personal mobile number. Thank God its not her Mom's.
I started texting her that day:
Me: Sup. It's Ben.
Sakura: Hey.
Me: Thanks for giving me your num.
Sakura: Sure. No prob with dat.
That was the First Day we ever texted each other; communicated electronically.
On the days followed, we have even more longer conversation from the next and the next.
Sakura: You wake?
Me: Ya. Why?
Sakura: Can you help me with my assignment?
Me: Sure, what sub is that?
Sakura: Science though!
Me: Sure, no problem. whuts the prob?
Sakura: about our lesson, the planet and stuff identification?
Me: Oh! Okay!
That's a good day 'cause I just finished that assignment earlier.
Me: I wont give u straight answers but only guide, okay?
Sakura: Sure.
Sakura: But why would you give only guide, not answers?
Me: For you to learn. If I answer that, then I will only be learning, not you.
Sakura: Oh...gets. Okay. I'm game.
Me: Ok, let's start. What's the questions?
Sakura: Okay. let me text them to you. It'll take time though.
Me: Okay. Its fine. take ur time.
I waited for 7 minutes before I receive the text message. Her message:
Help meeeeee!!!
1. What is the only planet habitable for living things, like humans?
2. Is Pluto still a planet? Explain.
3. Is Sun a hot ball of gas? Explain.
4. List the 2 belts found in our Solar System and explain these 2. Appearance and use.
5. How many moons does Saturn have?
6. Enumerate the planets that compose our solar system from the first one to the last.
7. Why Neptune is elliptical in orbit?
8. Is it true that Scientists discovered water or water-like structure on Mars?
9. Identify which planet has metal deposit.
10. What is the other name for Saturn?

Me: Thanks for the reply. I'll try to give you the closest answer.
Look here, we were Sixth fucking Grade and the questions were like in Senior High; but of course, if you really listen to our teacher, you would know the answer, or if you have google, you can answer it.
Me: Do you have google?
Sakura: Nah. Not popular in house. hahaha.
Me: hahaha...really?
Sakura: Yah
Me: I mean like, it became a daily need to pips.
Sakura: I know but Ma won't let us have internet. :(
Me: :(
Me: I'll answer these. Straight just answer.
Sakura: That's great. convenient, thanks much! :)
Me: Sure, no prob. Wait for 'em.
I asked 'brother Google' for the answer. I searched for answers straight and easily understood ones. For Twenty-four minutes, I searched for all the answers I can possibly find.
I texted her the answers to the question.
Me: {The answers to the Question}
Sakura: OMG! Thanks very much Ben.
Me: Ur welcome, Sakura!
Sakura: I'll write this down then. text u latur!
Me: Sure! :) Bye--text u too later!
I forgot to text her by afternoon. She must've been waiting.
I slept for almost 5 Hours. I look at the clock. It's already 7:30 in the evening. I hurriedly got up from bed and grab my phone to text her. I searched on google for the answers too so I copied mine to make it easier; I don't want to exert much effort in tasks like this. I just change some minor explanations for her--easier explanations.
Though here, I won't type just because it's really long and I can spend more time typing things for this book than listing down the answers I gave her.
After I have exerted SOME effort into typing, I press the send button and sent the message to her.
I think she immediately received it. She texted me after sometime:
Sakura: what happened?
Me: I overslept
Sakura: Oh okay. that's why you didn't replied back for hours.
Me: yeah. sorry about that. btw, I do you want cupcakes?
Sakura: its fine. Sure. when?
Me: I'll bring it on Monday.
Sakura: Sure.
Me: Gonna go eat dinner.
Sakura: Same. just eating.
Me: Text ya later.
That was Saturday.
Monday and I promised to give her cupcakes. I told my mom Sunday morning that I wanted cupcake rather a fine cake. She baked them delicious chocolate-strawberry filled cakes in small sizes. We ate some of it and refrigerate them. By Monday, I packed several of them and brought it for her.
"Here you are.' I told her.
"Oh hey!" She replied
"Been looking all over you." I added.
"Yeah? Why?" she asked.
I know she remembered what I promised. The cupcake.
"I asked you last Saturday If you wanted cupcakes.' I said "You said 'sure'.'"
"Oh yeah!" she said "Where is it? She laughed and giggled.
I open my bag and gave her the pack of cupcakes.
"Here you go. Cupcakes."
"Nice!' she said. 'This plenty of cakes."
"Yeah. made them just for yah!" I told with pride.
She smiled.
"What you doing here?" I asked
"Waiting for Maria." she answered.
I nod in agreement.
I thought 'I saw Maria at the Canteen just before I walk going here.'
"Enjoy your Cupcakes." I told her with a smile
"Of course. I will enjoy this." she said to me with a cheerful smile. "You made and gave this to me." she added.
"Thanks." I answered. "I'll be back. I'll get some school supplies."
"Sure." She said. "Wait. Do you need help with?"
"Nah. I'm good." I told her.
"Sure?" she asked.
"Thanks, but yeah!" I told her with a smile.
She smiled while looking at me with her cute eyes "Okaaay!"
I smiled again before walking towards the gate of our School.
That was 3 Months ago!
Today is the day we've all been waiting for!
THE GRADUATION for Grade Six. Just a step closer to life and goal. Dang. A more long way to come to adulthood. Can't wait Damn It!
We are all very happy to graduate and we all take hands together as we climb the stairs of the man made stage made from marble and some wood. We are smiling every seconds especially when we receive our certificates and diploma that authenticates our graduation at Grade School.
My parents were there. Sakura's too and the Other Kids' parents. Everyone!
My parents brought me to the mall after the Graduation, prolly others too! I ate crispy chicken, shawarma with cheese, Japanese Traditional Foods, and so much more. It was a buffet for Kings!
It was awesome. Now, If I do that-Wouldn't be as awesome as years ago.
