10 The other woman

I woke up so confused the Sunday morning, I had the heart feeling that Edward had spent the night here. I thought it might be just a weird dream but then I founded a note on my desk written with perfect calligraphy which said:

"Hello, good morning Lizzy, if you found this note then you're awake and maybe a little confused. Don't worry, I was here last night just because you called me saying you had a nightmare and so you asked me to come to comfort you. So I came and then I left when you fell asleep. Please eat something, your breakfast it's ready downstairs in the microwave at the kitchen. I'll see you tomorrow at school. "

— So he really was here! Who leaves his house at 3 A.M just to comfort somebody and then cook pancakes? He's totally insane! — thought in my kitchen warming up the breakfast he cooked to me.

Ten minutes later my parents downstairs and looked at me like a weirdo.

— You woke up so early, didn't you? — my mom said

— Yeah, what time is it?

— It's 7 A.M but the house smelled like pancakes since two hours ago.

— Mm yes, I should go for a run with Jeanne. See you later — I said lying and then I upstairs running to change my clothes.

I went out to run five minutes later with a water bottle on my hand. I was running for a half-hour, the song Earthquake-Little Boots was playing on my MP3 when somebody tripped and fell down over me.

— I'm sorry, I'm so clumsy. — said a girl not so older than me and getting up from me.

— Don't worry about it. — I said getting up from the floor.

— I'm Alice. — said extending her hand to me. She was so beautiful with her white skin full of life, her black short hair and her nice brown eyes.

— I'm Lizzy. — I answered shaking her hand.

— Can I invite you a coffee?

Alice and I walked together for a few minutes until we found an open coffee shop. Once there, we order coffee and cookies. I think that's the weirdest way I ever meet somebody. We talked for a while about our personal lives and then walked together to home after exchange phone numbers.

Monday morning was so weird, I walked alone for all the school looking for Alice who told me that she's studying at my same school. She's a cheerleader, a popular one, but she's the kindest person I ever meet. I was on my stuff in the cafeteria when somebody collided with me by my back.

— I'm sorry!

— Alice! — I said when I saw who collided with me.

— Hi Lizzy!

— Do you wanna hang around with me?

— Of course.

We walked to the run field and then we sat on the floor. Edward was there with his fiance but he couldn't keep his eyes from me on the moment he saw me.

— What are you seeing? Agh, there's my brother with his little bitch.

— Wha- what? Edward is your brother?

— Yes, unfortunately, he is my twin. Why did you were seeing him? Do you like him? — said with a funny smile.

— Yes... I mean no! Of course not!

— Why the hell do you like him? He's an idiot!

— I agree with you — I answered laughing — but he can be so sweet sometimes...

— Well, at least you're a better sister in law than that bitch Tiffany. I hate her!

I couldn't answer her cause I was so distracted with what I was seeing. Tiffany was telling something to Edward but it seems he didn't listen to her at all cause he was so distracted seeing me and smiling as he would be listening to my conversation with Alice but he was so far away to listened us. After a few seconds, she notest what was happening and so she took his face directing it again to her and so mad. Alice and I just laugh about it and then we went to class.
