11 Stay away

I was at the chemistry lab on a Friday morning. Since Monday I was a little distant to Edward 'cause I didn't want to interfere in his relationship.

I set on a different place this time 'cause I was avoiding Jeanne but Edward take advantage of the situation to set by my side so we were working together.

— So, how's Alice as a friend?

— She's great actually, so cool and so nice. I love her!

— Hey, don't make me jealous.

— Jealous? You have a fiance Edward!

— So, that's what it's happening? That's why you are so distant to me? Are you jealous?

— Absolutely not! — I said lying

— I thought we were just friends...

— And that's just what we are of course... — I said trying to control my tears. After that incident, the class finished and so I ran away looking for my new best friend Alice. I found her reading a book, twilight in fact, at my favorite place between a couple of trees. At the moment she saw me she closed her book and comforted me on the floor, over the grass just like Edward did before.

— It's okay, It's okay. Every it's gonna be okay, what happened?

— Edward just told me we're just friends. — I said crying between her arms.

— But you are just his friend actually honey, so what's the problem?

— He flirts with me all the time and treats me so sweet so maybe I... maybe I confused the things. Anyway, it just hurts me to be "just his friend".

— I know how it feels. Jacob did it to me before he became my boyfriend.

— Is Jacob your boyfriend?!

— No, not at all! Well... he was but he also was a total jerk with me so I broke up with him and then I realized that I actually prefer girls. — said laughing.

— Oh, so that's why Edward hates him!

— Yeah, among other things... but now please stop crying, it breaks my heart to see you on that blue mood. I will invite you an ice cream, what you say to me?

— Yes, of course! Thank you.

— Sorry to interrupt but... can I talk to Elizabeth for a moment? — said Tiffany suddenly stands in front of us.

— It's okay Alice, I'll see what she wants. — I said to Alice with a smile and getting up from the floor.

After that, I walked with Tiffany a few meters far away. Just the necessary to Alice didn't hear us.

— So, what's up? — I said completely casual.

— "What's up"?

— Yeah, what's your problem?

— You are my problem Elizabeth. I know you're a slut and that's okay but please keep Edward outside to your slutty business.

— What are you talking about?

— Don't listen to the words of this bitch anymore Lizzy, you don't have why. — said Alice suddenly standing next to me and looking at Tiffany in a scary threatening way.

— This is not your business Alice. — answered Tiffany.

— Actually, it is. Do I have to remember you who is the "slut" here? 'Cause if I remember correctly you went after Jacob when he was my boyfriend and you didn't leave him alone until he slept with you! So please don't be dramatic and try to pretend you're innocent 'cause nobody can take from you the position of "the queen of the sluts". Come on Lizzy, we have better things to do. — said Alice and then she took my hand for carried me away.
