18 Chapter 17

"Thomas", Anna said in surprise . Carina averted her eyes from his figure . He was the last person she wanted to see now .

"Good morning to both of you", he smiled politely . Anna greeted back as Carina kept silence .

"I was hoping you could join me for breakfast , Carina ." Carina's brows raised . Hearing him call her by her name was not expected at all .

"As for Anna , mother-in-law wants you to join her and my wife . Is that alright ?" Anna nodded .

"I don't think this is a good idea", Carina said coldly .

"We have a lot to catch up on . I just thought we could do it over breakfast . Just us ." His smile widened as Carina's brows furrowed .

She mentally debated with herself . Thomas was trying his best to avoid her last night and the next morning , he wanted to chat with her during breakfast ? Something was off . Was this a trap ? Should she go ? Or should she refuse ?

Her debate suddenly ended when she looked into Thomas's Blue eyes . She remembered how she used to lose herself in those eyes . And she would always tell what he was thinking just by looking at him . Now , his eyes looked clear . They looked innocent .

"I will go", she mumbled .
