14 I will marry her

Tiara's POV....

My dad used to like Ethan. But recently he is not liking him saying he has changed. For my sake, he was trying to find some reasons to like him. He was having his eyes on him for a few days.

Yesterday he told me Ethan was with a girl. I told him, it's his secretary. But today he told me on the phone that he was with a new girl today.

And now I'm seeing with my own eyes. So he was cheating behind me? He was lying to me that he has a meeting at noon.

"See. You didn't believe your dad." My dad wrapped his arm from behind my shoulder, giving me support.

But. I'm okay. I have to be okay.

I tried to calm myself down and walked towards him. "Ethan." I called him when the girl left in the car.

Hearing my voice, he got surprised. Of course, my voice is familiar to him. We've dated for many years. He turned his face to me. My expressionless eyes met his eyes. His eyes were blank, without any touch of guiltiness.

"Tiara. Why are you here?"

"Who was she?" I asked with a calm voice.

"She is... a... friend." He replied, rolling his eyes. Yeah, you can't lie looking at my eyes.

Tiara. You're strong. You'll not cry. You WILL NOT.

I took a deep breath and wait for my lungs to be filled with air. "Look at me, Ethan. And tell me. Are you cheating on me?" My voice was softest. I didn't want to fight with him. I want to believe him. So please, say something even though it's a lie.

The expression on his face turned bitter. He creased his brows. "What cheating?" Like he has done nothing wrong! "You don't let me touch you...and..."

"So..." I stopped as I felt a lump in my throat. I swallowed hard. "So. You're telling me that you have that kind of relationship with those girls because I don't let you touch me."

He heaved a deep sigh before cupping my face. "I love you, Tiara. They are just..." He paused when I moved his hands from my cheeks and took a step back. Tears were already flowing through my eyes.

No, I'll not cry.

"Tiara. Listen." He tried to touch me, but his every touch made me take steps backwards.

He is not even sorry. He is speaking like he is the right one here! Oh! I didn't let him touch me. That's the only reason.

I turned around to leave but he grabbed my hand from behind. I looked back at him. He looked angry. "Don't say you're leaving me."

I let out a weak laugh. "Do you still think I'll be with you? We're over, Ethan. We...Ah!" He gripped onto my wrist tightly. He is hurting me. I guess he doesn't care.

"Tiara. We can solve this problem. We are still young. Come one don't behave like a nanny. We are in 2020." Ethan shouted.

My dad who was standing far quietly came here suddenly. "Let go of my child's hand, you jerk." He warned him, yanked his hand away from my hand. I know how angry is my father now. He is angry. He is sad.

And Ethan was stunned by his sudden appearance. He was mute.

"You know what I was going to tell you to marry my daughter. But now I've changed my mind again. I'll never let you marry my daughter no matter what." Dad said as he held my arm and started pulling me to his car with him.

"If not me, who will marry a girl who was raped?"

We were in the midway when we both stopped and froze hearing what Ethan said just now.

The world started spinning fast around me. At the same time, everything stopped, I was hearing nothing but his last words. I was seeing nothing but the incident of my childhood.

I found myself clenching my hands into tight fists and my head spinning like hell. I think I'll fall on the ground soon. I didn't even have the strength to turn back, I wasn't seeing anything except darkness.

"You jerk. What did you say?" My dad shouted as he turned around. I heard him.

"I didn't say anything wrong. Who will marry a girl like her?" It was Ethan. Again! Did he say it again? Was he embarrassed because of this reason always?

He was, right? Is this how he always think of me? Did he really love me or just because of this reason, he was showing me sympathy?

"I'll... I'll marry her." I don't know whose voice is it. I don't want to know. Whoever it is please take me away from this place. I'm breathless.
