The main characters are well written, and even though it takes a while to break through their characters, it’s well worth it. The story line is good, the begInning makes you think its just a general chase and force to love type of situation but the story definitely changes up. ... “Slow Burn” indeed 😉

EVERYONE. READ THIS STORY AND I PROMISE YOU WON'T REGRET IT. I love this book! The title itself holds true as it has become my reading obsession as well. Calhoun is not the typical male character. He is like a villain, full of schemes and bloodlust. He exudes power and authority that cannot be denied. He's cruel and cunning, but he loves so fiercely and unconditionally. Maddie is the typical kind and innocent female character, but she's also brave and smart. Their character development throughout the story is amazing and their journey towards love is so profound that you will surely fall in love as well. This book is not only filled with romance, but also conspiracies and adventure with different kinds of creatures all battling for power and superiority. My favorite part of this is Calhoun and Maddie's love story which started by force and developed into trust and absolute love. By far, Calhoun is my favorite male character of this author, and i love all of them! I've read all her books and they're all amazing! Thank you dear author for sharing your wonderdul works. I'm glad I stumbled upon your works a while back, and I'm still enjoying them until now. Keep up the good work!💕

This book is my favorite at this time! The male lead is sooo intriguing that I’m always looking forward to read more about him. The beginning shows a bad boy / good girl trope, but I’m sure the author has something up her sleeve and for that I’m excited! 🖤

As I stated earlier, the way story moves gradually keeping the reader with new high everytime, I really like the way writer has put the soul in each of them which I can visualise while reading. Keeping the dark crawling slowly in sidelines exposing bit by bit is I think writer's forte. I recommend not to miss reading this one along with his other ones for sure..👍

This book is so good. If it ever goes to print, I would buy it again to have on my shelf. The characters, the world, the twists. Very well written. I haven’t been able to put it down, been binge reading it all week. Builds slowly, but the reward is worth the wait. I am torn between wanting it to end to see what happens and/or never wanting this story and world to end.

Finding a book that can draw you in is very hard. This book captured my attention in the first chapter and now I can't stop reading. The main characters both have strong personalities and the writing sticks to each characters personality throughout the writing. I absolutely recommend this book.

The way the author outlines the difference in the personality of the Harris daughters, focusing more on the lead character (Madeline) and her sister who is her rival in a way because they're kind of vying for the same thing even though it's only one of them that interested in the imaginary contest, is really amazing. It's give us readers an in-depth into how their different personality influences others opinions about them including their parents.

this book just keeps getting better with every chapter. with each chapter you learn just a little more about the character's personality. easy to follow and a joy to read.
