9 Chapter 8 Small business ventures

Ray first poured 300 ml of glutinous rice on his bowl. He got his warm water already prepared and he is just awaiting for the sweet potatoes and red beans to soften.

He put 3 tablespoons of white sugar and some honey on the warm water. usually people have to mix it using spoons or spatula but his method is different.

He first injected a portion of his mana towards his left hand. To ensure it would not be harmful , he then proceeded to put his mana on his hand layer by layer like making a cake until he reached the fifth layer, If he wanted to he can make it as sharp as knife and sword to cut but for now this would be sufficient on making the sugar disolve much faster and ensure that the taste would be much sweeter and tastier.

Using his left hand, he stirred the bowl of warm water that has sugar and honey.

He finished with the sugar and honey with melted in the warm water. He then poured half of the warm sweet water into the bowl of glutinous floor.

Now both his hands are enfused with mana, he needs to make sure every part of the flour would be enveloped with mana up until to the last grain.

"Gabriel I will now kneed the flour with my hands, I need you to pour in a small amount of water everytime I say so." Ray instructed.

"Yes dad, what's this called again?" Gabriel asked.

"It's called bucchi. You're going to love it!" Ray said as he kneeded the flour into paste at the same time controlling the flow of mana towards the dough.

"Water gabriel."

"Yes dad."

"More."

"Aye dad! more?"

"Nope, this one is enough. Go ahead and boil at least 4 cups of water, were going to need it as were going to make lots of them!"

"Yey! Were going to make buchhis!"

Ray laughed with gabriel as they helped each other to prepare food.

After several minutes he cut it into portions , he got one on his left hand flattend the middle part and inputted mushy red beans he also didn't forget to roll some mana on the red beans. after making them round enough, he them basked them with sesami seeds.

Over all with the 300 ml of glutonous rice flour , he was able to make 30 pieces, in reality the amount of flour they can make can only make at least 6 pieces but because of his mana controlling art, he made it bigger and much more juicer.

He then proceeded to create 60 more enough to make sure his capital of $100 gets back to him.

Ray deep fried the bucchis until they were golden brown, he left 10 pieces for his family and prepared the other pieces to be sold later. He then prepared 5 cups of hot chocolate but this time he didn't add any mana on it.

It was past 3 in the afternoon and the simple family ate their bucchis together.

"Wow this is so delicious!" Gabriel exlaimed as he ate his portion.

"Dad why is it so good?" Gwyneth said while finishing her fill.

Teresa and evangeline just ate their silently but had to get their seconds as it was so good!

Ray carried the bucchi in front of his house, there he posted buchhis for sale at 4 pieces for 50 Pesos using a large signage. He had 80 pieces right now, he had confidence he can sell it all and earn 1000 pesos today. He sat on the chair he brought with an old table in front of him as he closed his eyes.

Now all he had to do is wait.

Since he had time he circulated the mana inside of him and began to meditate. The mana here in the slum tasted corrupted and dirty so he had to double his effort on filtering the mana that his revolving inside his body.

After several minutes an old man with a walking cane stopped over his make shift "store". The old man read the sign and looked at the bucchis.

The old man probably tasted a lot of them before as he looked at the golden browned colored bucchis but he smelled the aroma that it carried and felt that this must be delicious.

"Ahem ahem! Hey how much is this?" The old man asked.

Ray opened his eyes and lazily pointed at the signage before he closed his eyes again.

"Hey young man, bucchis only costs around 5 pesos a piece. why won't you let this old man taste this first then I decide if I can buy it or not."

Ray raised his finger before saying "Either you buy them or get out."

The old man was flustered and surprised by the seller's grumpy atitude.

"Hml with your atitude of yours, no one will buy on this pile of stones!" The old man said then angrily went on his way.

Ray did not cared if the old man will buy or not but since he knows in order to sell some he needs to have some positive perception on his potential buyers.

So ray called gabriel and gwyneth to instruct them to sell the bucchis while he stayed just in the besides of them.

"Gwyn , Gab.. I want you two to stand by and attract customers. If anyone bargains with you, say no. It's 50 pesos for 4 pieces okay?" Ray instructed.

"Yes dad!" Gabriel answered but gwyneth shyly asked if she could still have some.

Ray smiled and carried gwyneth on his lap, pinched her nose sweetily and said " If you can sell all of these today I promise to make some barbequed pork tomorrow."

"Really?!" Gwyneth said excitingly.

Ray smiled as he held his daughter's pinky finger.

"Promise, pinky swear." Ray answered warmly.
