7 Chapter 6 Home Tyrant

Ray received a call while walking home. he looked into the phone and it was his wife calling.

"Hello?"

"Ray where are you? It's already 3am!" Teresa shouted over the phone.

"Aye! I'm on my way home." Ray replied.

"No don't go home! Choose your friends and stay with them!"

"Ahh I didn't go to any of my friends, I just went jogging!" Ray explained while holding his phone, he totally forgot that his wife got a nasty temper and was known to be more frank than he was.

"You think I will believe you? You know one thing that I hate liars!"

"Honey I'm not lying! right now I'm running as fast as I can! give me 5 minutes and I'll be there!"

"4 minutes! If you're not here then don't go home!" Teresa hang up the call.

Ray had beads of sweat as he ran as quick as he can, oh shit he said to himself. I Forgot how hot headed his wife is. most of the time they were getting into lots of arguments as life was hard during this time.

Luckily with his improved speed he was able to reach home in 3 minutes.

His wife was standing outside their door with her hands holding a metal pan.

Oh my Ray gulped. he had faces thousands of enemies with an intent to kill but his wife makes him shiver into fear each time she held the metal pan.

"Honey I'm home?" Ray approached teresa and tried to kiss her cheeks but teresa avoided him and began pummeling him with the metal pan.

"You scoundrel! You're almost forty and you still have the time to drink with your friends!"

Ray raised his arms to block his wife's attack as he sticked out his tongue and opened his mouth.

"I'm not drinking! look! look! I didn't even saw them and smell me! smell me! I didn't drink any beer or stuff!"

Teresa approached ray and investigated his mouth. she smelled no liquor and no beer.

she dropped the pan into the table and wearing a nasty grin "Just in case you forgot we only have $150 left on our budget. Terrence milk is almost empty while the kids have an upcoming school project!"

Ray scratched his head "Don't worry about the money, I can get some today!"

Ray looked at the pan and awkwardly saw how the pan deformed. using his bear hands he fixed the dented pan into it's former form.

"Where are you going to get them? Are you going to borrow and loan money again?" Teresa was on the kitchen while making milk.

"No, One of my friends a few years ago owe me some money, I think it was like P5000 to P6000 the most. I think I can urge him to pay me." Ray said as he invented a new lie and hid the pan after fixing its deformed form.

Teresa looked at him and raised an eyebrow.

"Who is it?"

With his wife's scareful eyes looking at him, Ray gulped as he he tried to create a name that he will mention. "Jack?"

"Jack?" Teresa raised her eyebrow again.

"Ahehe Yes, you don't know him since I haven't introduced him to you but don't worry I'll just get a couple of hours of sleep then I'd pay him a visit today" Ray approached his wife and kissed her forehead.

Teresa with her arms crossed gave up and kissed ray on his lips. "Can we still survive for this week until you get your next pay?"

"Yes we can, I will also go to the office today. I hope that some of my friends up there can loan me some." Ray carresed his wife as they lay on their small bed.

Teresa hugged ray as they slept, Ray didn't though. he tried to close his eyes and tried to sleep but reality is making it hard for him to cultivate.

They had no more money. Their savings had already been used up and all that was left is $150 enough for only two days.

Terrence their baby was already sleeping while his other kids were on the floor with their make shift large mat for sleeping.

The status of his family was so pity that his happiness on rejoining them was overcome by his inability to make their lives better today.

Ray stood up and looked at his wife who was now asleep. he silently went to their wallet and took P100 pesos.

It was already 5am and the sun was already rising from the east. he went outside and jumped towards their tattered roof.

He sat on the lotus position on the roof and began his mana cultivation.

Mana was at it's best between the sun and the moon. The time of five to six in the morning was the perfect time for most cultivators to nourish their mana foundation.

The consolidated filtered mana hovered above Ray's dantian. It was bluish like a mountain dew coming from spring.

It hovered for a few minutes as ray began filtering the already filtered mana.

Again the purest the mana, the most benefitial it can provide and give towards his body!
