5 Chapter 4 Towards Cultivation

It's been several days since he began his journey towards cultivation.

Their money running out he strived to make it at least on mana level entry. Using his past mistakes on his first step on cultivation , he rushed towards the Mana condensation that will make his body stronger.

Ray started by doing the mana breathing exercise and begun circulating the basic mana gathering technique. He slowly felt the mana around him gather like tiny sparkling dots around him but this time he focused slowly to gather it on his heart.

It took him 2 hours and large beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.He felt as his heart had swollen as it rapalidly pumped blood and mana all over his body.

When the mana went back to his heart, he started the mana filtering technique he devised.

"My body is a filter , I gather mana and filter mana, low quality mana is taken out by exhaling, while inhaling mana act as the ingredient to push the mana in my body to condense and be pressed in my heart. The purer the quality is the mana inside my body acts as my ..... the stronger I become!The less quality mana is exhaled again then restart the process! Inhale! Exhale!"

He heard a faint sound of popping inside his body, he tried to this again and another faint sound of pop occured. Ray did not stop until the afternoon of that day.

He heard another pop as if a gate was opened inside his body. Then he sweated another batch of the dark murky subtance all over his body and he felt a refreshening feeling cover all over him. A slight pop inside his eyes he felt and the pain on his eyes was so intense that it made him cringed and almost stumble on his position.

"No not yet! I need to widen my ki paths to make the filtering more effective!" Ray gritted his teeth and focused on filtering the mana inside his body.

"I have 5 years left for the weather change phenomena! 10 years left before the undead plague! Another 2 years for the global tidal wave! And another 3 years for the great war! This pain is nothing compared to the pain of losing my family once!" Ray gritted his teeth and clunched his fists!

"My body is one large filtering machine and I will save my family!"

A slight pop again happened inside his body , he heard a pop on his head and in his ears, his vital merigians popping out one after another. Then it happened , A faint red but gentle aura blew forth and covered his body like armour. From several centimeters it grew to almost a meter.

But he did bot stopped there! He filtered again the high quality mana inside his body and reprocess the same technique several times!

From a faint red aura it became clearer almost can be seen by the naked eye. Then it became bloody red and a red glow covered his room almost like a fire in the middle of the night!

The neighbours saw the red light inside their room and was dumbfounded at what they saw!

"is that fire inside our ray's house?" a fat lady said while she stared at their neighbors window.

"nahhh its just a red disco ball , ray mustve installed a new bulb inside their room!" the old man said outside.

The high quality mana that Ray filtered changed his body structure, his muscles tightened and became muscular. He grew several centimeters while his skeletal frame became stronger and sturdier. Each bone in his body is changing to become a mana cultivator!

"Mana level entry complete!" Ray exhaled a warm current of air and it looks like steam! He felt the changes in his body, he stood up and opened the room's window and saw his neighbors.

"How do you do Mrs. Castillo! " he waived his hand to his neighbor.

"Ray what were you doing there!" Mrs castillo shouted.

"Dont wory! I've just installed a new red light bulb! " Ray answered as he taught to himself other reasons he can come up with it.

"Be careful then! We dont want any fire to happen especially this season! " Mrs. Castillo shouted and went back inside her home.

I need a new house where I can practice and cultivate peacefully. With all his noisy and story telling neighbors around him, it would be difficult to cultivate peacefully.

"Hey teresa! I'll be jogging tonight! You and the kids can enjoy dinner? " Ray told his wife as he wore an old sweater , pants and sneakers. He also brought his elder son's halloween mask with him.

"Joggin in the middle of the night? Are you crazy!" Teresa exclaimed as she carried their baby with her.

"Hey calm down, I need to take care of my body as well. I'll be back before 11 okay?" ray said as he kissed his children's forehead one by one.

"Okay but dont do anything stupid!" Teresa looked at him while he stepped outside their house. "And be careful!"

Haha they be careful with me ray thought as he walked outside their house while wearing a smirk on his face.
