20 Chapter 19 Surprise!

Ray and his family bought themselves new clothes to wear, Teresa was extremely picky towards their kids and bought each one of their children a pair of children's pants , shirt and shoes.

Ray adored how teresa picked and checked the clothes to their kids, especially terrence their baby boy.

As the family went out of the mall, you can see how happy the family was. They walked on their way to home and had a fun dinner full of laughter and joy.

Ray looked at the time and it's now Seven o clock.

"Darling, get the kids to be ready, make sure we dress them with the finest clothes they have, I have a surprise for all of you."

"Hu? What's the surprise?" Teresa asked.

"It would'nt be a surprise now right if I tell and talked about it right?" Ray smiled and hugged his wife."From now on, it's all about hapiness, you and my family."

Ray gently kissed his wife on the lips.

"Stop talking nonsense and tell me what it is." Teresa giggled on between their kisses.

"Hush darling. You also get dress, we'll go out in Thirty minutes." Ray smiled then walked away towards their door.

He dialled Jack's number and waited until jack picked up the call.

"Boss, Is this you?" Jack answered.

"jack it's me Ray, are you prepared?" Ray asked.

"Yes boss,I have my men and house ready already."

"Good, make sure to tone it down with the boss and just call me mr. cross,is that clear?"

"Yes boss,I already told the men." Jack agreed.

"Good, make sure you don't mess this one. this is my first mission for you." Ray's tone suddenly changed. he is quite happy now since he is arranging his family for a better house to live.

"Yess boss, I"ll not let you down on this one!" Jack answered.

Ray then dropped the phone and also change his clothes, the kids were wondering why they had to wear the clothes they just bought but since their father is acting weird and has this mysterious smile on his face, they can't stop but guess what is the surprise all about.

"Are we going to a new house?" Gwyneth asked excitingly.

"Are we gping to eat roasted chicken again?" Gabriel asked curiously.

"A-are we going to see f-frozen?" Evangeline asked with a smile on her eyes.

Gabriel just stared at them while he plays with his fingers.

After thirty minutes Ray brought his family outside, he carried terrence on his left arm while holding evangeline and gwyneth on his right.

Teresa closed and locked the door. The family walked side by side as they practically carried nothing but themselves.

After a few turns they were on the entrance of the slums, Ray looked back at the slums and can't help feeling nostalgic as the memories of his past life and current is mixing up his emotions.

"Some of the people inside the slums were my friends for a long time, but in the upcoming pandemic.. Only a few will be a help for me." Ray thought. "For now I need strength and resources to prepare."

"Ray you jerk, where are we really going?" Teresa asked as she became angrier by the second. Her husband has not told her a Single clue on the "surprise".

"Hehe Chill, they'll be here any second by now." Ray stood by and looked at his wife nicely while he hold terrence by his arms.

It was dark on the road and a bright headlight suddenly appeared on their way to them, it started off as a pair then slowly went to them.

There was three black mercedes benz on the way and stopped in front of the family. Teresa was worried as the mercedenz benz was a car for the wealthy and it's been rumored that they take away children.

The cars stopped in front of them, and Jack calmly went out. He saw ray and his family while gently nodding.

"Mr.Cross I presume?"

"Yes it is I." Ray answered.

Jack opened the car door on the passenger side and gently bowed.

"Your villa awaits Mr. Cross."

Ray's family was surprised and almost all of them excluding ray was speechless!
