5 Chapter Five

"Hazel, tell me, do you really see something?"

"Yes Mom, but I don't wanna talk about it anymore, I'm scared!"

"I don't know how can I help you, but the best thing you can do is to pray, okay?"

Then suddenly, the melody of the piano starts to played. Hazel covered her ears ... as long as it was gone. Mila was unaware that the statue had peeked out the window.

Two days later. When Hazel and her sister was walking home from school, they met Adel on their way. "My Aunt Carmen is here now in our house, come with me," Adele said.

"Okay, I will drop Mia in the house first and I tell my mom that I am going with you,"

"I'll wait you here!" Adele smiled. Hazel hurried home and asked her mom's permission that she will go to Adele's house. As Mila let her go there.

When they got to Adele's house, they saw Carmen staring out the window.

"Hi Aunt!" Adel greeted.

"God have mercy on you," Carmen said then Adel introduce Hazel to her .

"Good afternoon!" Hazel greeted.

"Hi! Have a seat," Carmen said, then Hazel sat down on the couch.

Carmen noticed that they wants to say something.

"How's your schooling?" She asked,

"It's okay Aunt," Adele said, then Carmen noticed un usual emotions of them.

"Is there something wrong?" She nodded. Then Adele suddenly burst out,

"Aunt Carmen, w-we saw the statue of Kasandra besides the Everlasting tree!" She exclaimed.

Carmen was stunned, for what she have heard.

"Oh my! What a mistake you have made! How many times have I told you Adele to not go in there!" She said furiously. Adel can't speak, Carmen saw the fear on their eyes. She hold their hands and stared at them deeply and asked. "Do the statue haunting you?" She nodded.

"Yes Aunt, every night!" They exclaimed.

"This is really bad!" Carmen said felt scared for them.

"What we gonna do Aunt? We're scared!" Adele cried.

"Sit down and I will tell you the mystery surrounding that tree and about the statue of Kasandra, you must know it!" Carmen said, and she went into her room and took something. "I'm scared of what Aunt Carmen will say," Adele shuddered, "But we should know," Hazel said, feeling nervous.

When Carmen returns, she was bearing a book. The two sat down in the chair in front of Carmen and they shivered when they saw the book. Suddenly, Adele's mother Belen came in.

"Carmen, you're here." Belen said when she entered.

Carmen look at her. "Belen, your daughter and her friend has a problem!" She exclaimed. "What are you talking about?" Belen asked nervously. "The curse of the statue is starting again!" Carmen declared.

"What do you mean?" she nodded.

"These girls, went at the river bank and came near the Everlasting tree!"

"Oh my!" Belen exclaimed, then she looked at Adele. "Why did you go there? Why you disobey me?!" Belen scold her.

"Sorry Mom, we just want to see the Statue," Adele said sheepishly.

"Did you see that Statue?"

"Yes!"

"Oh no, so the statue is true!" Belen excalimed.

"Yes, the statue was real, as I told you before!" Carmen said.

Belen sat on the couch and she held Adele's arms. "What do we do now?" Belen said with fear. "We have to call Hazel's parents, they need to know the things that possible will happen to them!" Carmen said, eagerly.

"I'll go home, I'll get my parents," Hazel said.

"I'll go with you Hazel," Adele said, but Belen forbids her. "Stay here Adele, I will be the one to accompany her, so her parents will come here,"

That very moment they went to Hazel's house immediately.

When they arrived at Hazel's house. When Mila opened the door, she was surprised when she saw Hazel with Adele's mother.

Mila glanced at Belen and wondered why Hazel was with her. "Did Hazel do anything bad?" she aske, then she turn her gazed to Hazel who looks scared. Belen look at her deeply and said. "What have you done?" She asked her. Hazel couldn't speak.

"Mila, we have a problem!" Belen said.

"What do you mean?"

"Did you know that they went in the river bank and they saw the statue?"

Mila nodded. "Yeah, I know that they went there, since then Hazel was always scared,"

"Who ever go near the tree will cursed, and the statue will haunting them,"

Mila was almost fainted for what she said. "My sister wants to talk to you, she knows about the mystery about that statue, please come with me!"

"Okay, I'm just going to wait with my husband!"

"Okay see you in my house, make it quick okay?" Belen said then she left.

After a few minutes…her father arrived.

"Mario, we need to go to Adele's house now!" Mila said eagerly.

"But why?"
