7 Chapter 3 - Immortal Nanites vs. Replicating Nanites

Zeel spent the next two months adapting to his new reality. It was difficult to go from the number one race in Universe 0, to... whatever these Humans were.

Adjusting to everything was more difficult than Zeel initially anticipated. Even as a Technological Being, it took Zeel several weeks to master the use of a computer.

Imagine having to swipe your hand and all tasks were completed, but now you had to type on a keyboard one key at a time? The use of primitive computers almost drove Zeel crazy.

Using computers, Zeel was barely able to secure some cash to continue his prolonged stay at the hotel. The toilets took him some time to figure out as well. Everything was a new experience, or rather a re-discovery of primitive human experiences.

Zeel's world was far more advanced, so everything had an advanced technological feel to it, even something as insignificant as taking out the trash was done by Sentients and atomization technology.

After constant internet hackings, Zeel was able to get a rough idea of how this world works and the powers behind it.

The Umbrella Corporation is a huge enterprise that basically ruled this world, though, on the surface, Governments were still the dominating parties.

Zeel found it difficult to find any incriminating information about The Umbrella Corporation. This was exactly what made Zeel suspicious of the Umbrella Corporation.

His family ruled a large sector in the Galactic Alliance and he was able to draw conclusions from his experiences as an authoritarian figure.

The lack of bad scandals was a major flaw in the status of The Umbrella Corporation.

Negative news could only be found when deeply investigated. This was impossible since enormous world organizations would never suppress negative news. Unless said Corporation was in the midst of preparation for huge economical movements: mergers, sell-outs, promotions...

"Hmmm, I wonder what happened for such a huge organization to suppress news around this time?" Zeel pondered as he had already contemplated robbing The Umbrella Corporation for a huge quantity of liquid mercury.

His SRNT required huge amounts of liquid mercury to awaken from its dormant state. However, the Mercury he required was a rare variant that could only be synthesized in state-of-the-art laboratories.

Zeel also had a nagging feeling that his idea was a good one. If his keen intuition was any indication, then good things would soon occur.

Zeel still hesitated, since stealing liquid mercury from such a world-dominating Corporation would create issues a bit larger than he was comfortably able to resolve.

Without INT in his system, Zeel was akin to a lion with claws or teeth. At this moment, the only thing Zeel had going for him was combat expertise and Peak Human physique.

Not paying much attention to the suppression of the news, Zeel opted to experiment with his current strength. Every day over the past two months was spent in the gym, enhancing his muscle density.

Zeel quickly realized that his punch was now about 2000 lbs of force and if he really tried using his self – damaging techniques, he could up his strength to about 3000 lbs.

His strength was currently near Captain America's level in both potential and physical prowess. However, unlike Captain America, he preferred guns, throwing knives, and swords.

After all, the best defense is an offense.

Zeel's leg strength was a little over 3000 lbs of force and he could jump eight feet vertically without much issue. Zeel also realized that he could slow his perception of time, relative to whatever task he was attempting to complete.

This was likely a side-effect of The Crawford's natural ability to mess with time.

Previously, he could predict the trajectories of certain objects and pre-emptively dodge them, but now he was able to slow his perception of time relative to the object and actively dodge it.

However, after such taxing movements, he would always experience cramps and muscle seizures - something he was actively seeking solutions for.

Sadly, this solution would likely lead him into a direct confrontation with The Umbrella Corporation. Zeel needed to activate his nanites to increase his chances of survival, but to do that, he needed to infiltrate The Umbrella Corporation.

Where else could he find the unique Mercury-Variant solution he required?

Without the nanites, Zeel had trouble limiting his senses as a Homo-Superior.

The majority of his time was spent practicing squeezing an egg without actually breaking it.

Zeel's punch could literally kill someone at his current level. At this rate, if he wanted to pat a dog on the head, he would end up killing the creature instead.

Zeel tried meditation to aid him in the control of his ability which helped a lot with training his mind to adjust to the increase in his strength.

This, complemented by his lack of emotional reactions to situations, only further accentuated his control. The fact that it was almost impossible for him to experience an emotional outbreak, made his power control that much more stable.

However, the best solution was still the activation of the nanites bonded with his DNA.

(One Week Later)

Currently, Zeel was sitting in front of the motel on a matt faking some meditation to look mysterious for the girls passing by.

Zeel never had sex with a pure-human before, so he was slightly eager to try. However, it seemed that this would not be the day. Zeel's Holographic-Watch started vibrating, signaling that something unexpected had occurred.

"So a squad is on the move, huh?" Zeel mumbled.

For two months he had tried and failed to hack into Umbrella's servers with little success. The one time he succeeded, the information obtained was near useless.

The only information he extracted was – Secret Facility located at Raccoon City Outskirts.

That was hundreds of kilometers of land. What was Zeel supposed to do? Start digging?

Zeel set up a multi-layered scan using any piece of tech he could find.

It would notify him of any major activity happening near the outskirts of the city. Fortunately, just a couple of seconds ago, a tactical team sent a helicopter flight path to be approved by the air services- the location was to a mansion near the outskirts.

Zeel bolted into the motel, grabbing his clothes while simultaneously throwing off the robes he had stolen. The robes were to sell the act of being a wandering nomad.

Shifting into his battle gear, Zeel's clothing bared a striking resemblance to Captain America's outfit in the endgame.

It consisted of straps holding two guns and the belt filled with knives circulating his waist, minus a shield on both hands.

It was at these types of moments Zeel regretted not continuing the interdimensional storage project.

The rare materials to build an inter-dimensional storage unit could not be acquired on short notice in Universe 0. Not that any technology from Universe 0 would still work.

However, he did procure enough metals to build his nanites, even if they were still in a dormant state.

Still, the unactivated nanites still converted all energy from anything consumed.

Also, with SRNT, as long as you eat small samples of rare metals, it can be broken down to make new nanites. Immortal Nanites remained in your body no matter what, but Replicating Nanites would constantly regenerate.

However, SRNT was much less useful in the first couple of stages after activation. At best, it could hack doors and other electrical appliances.

Yet, SRNT could not combat high levels of radiation or any other harmful substance for extended periods of time.

There were many advantages and disadvantages to Zeel's creation, but he still boiled with anticipation of the feature of constant Evolution given the right metals.

Looking in the mirror and seeing himself in top condition, Zeel could not help but stare a bit longer admiring himself.

His white-silver hair had remained mostly the same alongside his slightly increased height.

Zeel had this nagging feeling that he should wait a couple of days before attacking The Umbrella Corporation, but he ultimately decided to strike the hammer while it was hot.

He could also feel a new emotion bubbling below the surface, trying to make its way to his heart – a feeling he had not experienced since he unlocked 'revenge' upon holding the God-Siphon in Asheborn's Household.

Opening the window, Zeel jumped out, not wanting to pay the penalty fee for staying past checkout time.

He was currently limited in funding to pay for staying the extra time.

Vowing to himself to come back and pay when he became a billionaire, Zeel leaped through the window with no shame gracing his handsome, hypocritical visage.
