9 Ch9.Strange Symbol.

As I look at this symbol, I can feel my energy being drawn into it, the more energy it swallows the bigger I grow. The more I pay attention to it, the more I can actually feel this strange energy flowing through me. It doesn't run through any specific pathways that you would expect after reading a large amount of cultivation novels, no the energy is just flowing through my very being, it passes through my bones, muscles, organs, etc.

My whole body is filled with this energy and is slowly being drawn to the strange symbol in my chest. If I had to explain what it looks like, imagine my body being a bath or a basin full of water, now after I activated my ability it is like pulling the plug out of the basin. The symbol is like a vortex absorbing all the energy that has filled my body.

I have to learn everything I can about this symbol and the energy that flows within me, so I slowly use my instincts and try to stop the energy flowing to the symbol, and as I do my growth has stopped but I am now shrinking back to my regular size. Strange I just wanted to stop growing, not shrink. It seems I will need to study all the rules that I need to follow, in order to completely understand and control this symbol.

So I keep trying again and again, until I run out of energy. After running out of energy nothing bad really happens, I just feel exhausted, like I just ran 100km and am about to pass out. I'm still in my cave so after having a little nap I will continue to explore this amazing power!

I must say I am fascinated by this energy and the rune, it is like nothing I have ever experienced or even thought about before, even after using up my energy and passing out over and over again for about 20 times, I still can't get enough of it! But I must say my recovery keeps becoming slower and slower after every time I pass out, I should probably stop now and go out to find myself something to eat and drink. After restoring myself properly I will continue to analyze this energy and symbol.

I have been practicing the utilization of my energy and Symbol for about a month now, at least I think it was about a month, it has become a habit of mine to count the nights and after every 30 nights I will make a scratch in my cave. I do this to at least try to keep track of my sense of time and not completely lose myself.

From the understanding I have gotten so far, this symbol is what defines my energy. So far I can manipulate the symbol to a very basic level, I can currently slow down or speed up my transformation. I can now control my energy to a level where I can stop myself growing larger and just send enough energy to the Symbol to maintain my transformation.

My current goal is to completely understand how this energy works, how I can gain more, the other ways I can use it and what else I can do with the symbol. There is a lot I need to do and I really want to get this done fast.

I am already craving civilization, I don't know how much longer my mind will last without being able to interact with another being. I have previously tried talking to other animals, but that was an epic fail, I don't understand them at all. It is like they all talk a different language. It is the same even with other animals that are the same species as me. It is really no fun t all just talking to myself.

So I have been living as a monkey for the last year, and I must say that I have fallen in love with the mysteries of this magical energy. I have been constantly experimenting with both the energy and the symbol for ages now. I have completely memorized the symbol already and can draw it in perfection, even in my sleep. I have however made a huge fuckup with regards to the symbol, but I will get back to that a bit later.

So let me firstly explain all my findings on the uses of the energy. Firstly it can be used as a bodily enhancer, I can focus energy on any part of my body to enhance many physical aspects. For example focusing all the energy to form a layer of energy, or as I like to describe it, a second layer of skin under my actual skin, increases my defense tremendously. Focusing energy towards my arms and legs can both increase my striking and gripping strength and speed.

I have found it incredibly difficult to actually increase the amount of energy in my body. The only discoveries I have made in this department, is that as time goes on I naturally absorb energy from the environment. I can also increase my energy by consuming other Magical Beasts and certain strange fruits, the symbol in my body also slowly absorbs the around me and strengthens itself which also slowly increases the amount of energy within me.

Now onto my symbol discoveries, from what I have gathered, my symbol is literally the meaning of my ability, I have named it the 'Growth' Symbol, what I mean is that, if my symbol were to be changed so would my ability. I know this because I have experimented with my symbol a lot.

I first tried to have my symbol absorb more energy so that I would become stronger, faster, but this didn't work as my symbol literally represents 'Growth', the natural absorption of energy is just something that happens, I don't know the reason for it and I can't control it at all.

When I said I screwed up, it is because along with my experiments I tried changing the look of my symbol, now that created a ton of problems!! Each change I made drastically changed how my ability worked, for example some of the changes made me shrink instead of grow, others just made me grow in strange ways. For example I grew wide instead of tall, or just my head grew and not the rest of my body, it was very hard to control! I came to the conclusion that, until I completely understand the rules regarding the changes made to the symbol, I shouldn't try to make any changes any more.

I also have not been able to restore the symbol to its original state, the best I could fix it during an uncountable amount of tries is to be a permanent growth boost at the cost of maximum size. In other words I am currently a monkey that is as buff and tall as a Gorilla. I actually prefer this change, even though it is more draining on my energy, as it is constantly using my energy 24/7, I have a more consistent strength and I don't have to worry about ever being in a weakened state.

Now that I have gotten enough practice with my Monkey ability, I think it is time to get the rest of my abilities so I can finally gain a human body!!!
