24 Ch24.Leaving - Part 1

In the last three days I have not been idle, I have gained sufficient information about my target. His name is Marfeud, he is quite the distinguished person in this town, but since his name is so weird and hard to pronounce I just refer to him as Mr.Shark, 'You know because he is a Loan Shark. . .'. It was quite hard to get information on him from other people as it seems everyone around here either respect or fear him too much, so I had to get into his building in order to find what I wanted.

I infiltrated his building at night by constantly using my shadow space to move around. It is a bit annoying that I can't travel from shadow to shadow and that I have a very limited area to move in, but it is all I have so It is better than nothing.

Let me just explain how I can use my 'Shadow Lord' Rune to move around, I can only do this when I am in an area that is dark enough and the area beneath my feat is covered in shadows. I can then open my Shadow space beneath my feet and slip into it. After entering my space I will appear in a Circular shaped area equivalent to the current size of my Shadow Space. I can then move in any direction to the edge of the Space and then exit. This will then allow me to appear above the ground in the same direction and amount of distance that I moved in my space. The problem with this ability is that my current Space only allows me to move two meters in any direction at a time, this means that I have to constantly pop in and out every two meters.

Anyway I used this ability in conjunction with my 'Camouflage' Rune to remain undetected and scout out the building. After thoroughly searching the building I have luckily found the main safe, the problem is that the safe is way to heavily guarded and is build into the building, so there is no way I can get into it, or even take the whole safe and escape unnoticed.

I kind of expected that so I am not too upset, the upside is that there are multiple small storage sites that contain smaller amounts of money, these are used on a daily basis for everyday loans. This will be my target and according to my estimate, there will be more than enough money in them to hopefully last me a few years of lavish living.

Besides this discovery I have very detailed information on the guards shifts and know that the night guards mostly fall asleep on the job at around 1 am since that is when they no longer have to change location and patrol the building. It is also probably due to the fact that there has never been anyone crazy enough to rob Mr. Shark before, so they don't pay too much attention to night security. This works out perfectly for me as it will make this 'job' a lot easier for me.

Besides scouting and planning my robbery, there are a few other things I have been doing in the last few days. I looked around for a helmet to use when driving my bike, but I couldn't find anything even remotely similar to what I need. The closest thing I could find was a Knight's helm and that would just look weird. . . Or it could look cool but I don't want to waste money on something I will probably be too embarrassed to use.

So Instead I just got a pair a sunglasses made. In this world they don't really have sunglasses but they have something similar, magical glasses that are used to magnify and improve the quality of reading and general sight. Basically prescription glasses but Magic and have way more features. I don't really need any of those functions so I just asked the guy if he could create a pair that has a dark black tint and will block any wind disturbance that I could experience while riding my Bike too fast. I also added the function of added perception and basic night vision so that I could react more efficiently while traveling at high speeds and I can still war them at night.

And yes; I have finally gotten my Magical Bike Carriage and it is … Fucking INSANE!!! I love it so much! It is powered a different type of Magic Board and needs to be filled up every once in a while, but I kind of expected that. Besides that, Rony added some extra features such as improved grip on the wheels so that I don't slide out of control when traveling at high speeds, he added some features that help with the handling and control of the Bike so that I can turn and navigate better and he also added some cool features such as adjustable lighting and I can change and adjust the sound my bike makes. I must say he did a really good job, it took a while to get used to driving it ,but I could drive quite well after a few hours. I haven't tried going really fast yet but with all the features that improve my driving and basically prevent me from falling off It shouldn't be too different.

After driving around most of the day and preparing for my Robbery for tonight, I refill my Bikes Magic Board, store it in my shadow space. I then change my clothes into a semi-ninja outfit, well kind of, I am basically just wearing all black clothes and a towel tied in a specific way over my face, Under the towel I have disguises my face as someone random I saw in the Town that has a similar body structure to my own. I use a multilayer of deceit just so be safe. Now I just need to wait for the right time and I can get some pocket money, it has just hit 1 am but I am going to wait a few extra minutes just to be safe.

After waiting for 5 minutes +- I hit the start button on the timer of my pocket watch, I need to complete this job as fast as possible so every five minutes my pocket watch will vibrate notifying me of how long I am taking and after 15minutes it will continue to silently vibrate telling me to get out of the building asap.

I quickly and silently approach the building while hiding in the shadows, I then jump up to a ledge by the second story window and enter my shadow space before calculating the distance and exiting just inside the building on the second floor. After getting inside I stick to the shadows and every time I get close to a guard I will enter my Shadow space to sneak past them and move towards my target locations.
