11 Ch11.Making the ‘Ultimate body’.

I am currently hiding in a shadow, looking around a human town for my next body. There are quite a few things I need to consider before I take over someone's body, firstly they cant have a family, since I wont gain their memories, that will just make my life unnecessarily more complicated. Next I need to find a young enough body, I don't really know much about this world and a child's 'innocence' will help me ask various questions without appearing suspicious.

The last and most important condition is that the child has to be close to death, I really don't think I can bring myself to kill a child, but if he is going to naturally die soon then it will at least lessen the amount of guilt I will feel.

So I have been sneaking around the slum areas of this town looking for a suitable target, and I think I have finally found the perfect body. It is a very skinny boy of around 5 years old, it looks like he hasn't had anything to eat in ages as he is just skin and bones, he has short red hair and bright green eyes. He is currently lying down in the corner of an abandoned building. I have checked the surroundings and have made sure that there is nobody nearby to discover what I am about to do.

I slowly creep up to him in a posture that suggests I am about to pounce, and when he finally notices me, he starts to freak out, I can see the fear visible in his eyes, but it doesn't last long, as he just passes out. He is obviously too weak and frail to actually put up any resistance at all.

I walk up to him to examine his body, and I must say this is just sad, he has barely any muscle, it looks like his body is actually eating itself in an attempt to stay alive. I also can't sense any Magical Energy in his body, I will need to do something about this before I take over this body, otherwise I have no idea when I will be able to recreate my symbols in this body. Without having the abilities I have learned from the various Magical Beasts, I probably won't be in any better position than this poor kid.

I do have a bit of a crazy Idea, If I were to personally create my 'Shadow Lord' symbol in the kid's body, this would probably solve most of my problems. I just need to figure out how I can accomplish this. In order to do this I will have to insert my Magical Energy into his body, and have it belong to the kid, but still be under my control.

I think I have an idea on how to accomplish this, but the problem is that I don't know if this kid will survive the complete process, well I will have to try my best to keep him alive as long as possible.

The first step in the process is that some of my blood needs to be in his body, it needs to be assimilated into his body, but I can't just have him swallow some of my blood, as in the best case scenario that would probably just cause him to digest my blood, worst case he explodes from the Magical Energy contained in my blood. No, I need to be smart about this.

Well in my past life I always wanted a tattoo, but couldn't get one because there were too many risks involved, with my severe fear of death, the chance they use a dirty needle was all that was needed to prevent me from getting a tattoo. Anyway If I were to add my blood to an Ink like substance and tattoo it onto this body, that should be enough as a catalyst for my Magical Energy to enter his body.

Getting some ink wasn't too hard as I stole a 10L barrel of it from some store in town. Now I just need to add enough of my blood to this barrel. I emptied half of the barrel out and filled the rest of it with my blood. If you were wondering if my blood will change the color of the ink, you would be wrong, my blood is pitch blank, so if anything it just made the ink darker.

Anyway enough stalling, I ripped the shirt off the still passed out child, and dipped my claw in the ink then gently stabbed it into his back. In order to assure that enough of my blood is attached to him, I am going to create quite a large tattoo, and what tattoo could possibly be better than my current body! So I am going to create a crouching Panther Tattoo that takes up pretty much all the space on his back.

Even though I have no experience with creating tattoos or even drawing, I think that my constant practice at drawing Symbols to perfection and my 'Greater Comprehension' Symbol has helped me tremendously in my drawing skills. So by the time I finished creating the Tattoo, it actually looked pretty awesome!! This will also make my next life's body look really badass!!

It was quite weird that the kid didn't wake up throughout the whole process, but It is probably due to him being super weak and has no energy to even try resist, and even if he woke up, he probably passed out again straight away.

Now that I have everything prepared I can finally complete the last step, I slowly guide my magical energy into his body and start flooding it with as much energy as it can possibly hold, then I started forming the 'Shadow Lord' symbol in his heart, it is a slow process as forming even a part of the rune uses all the energy this body can hold. I then have to fill it up again with my energy before I can continue forming the symbol. I have repeated this process countless times and I am finally at the final part, after I add this last line, the rune will be completed.

This will probably kill the kid as his body has not slowly adapted to the energy by naturally absorbing it himself and he has not comprehended the meaning of this symbol. So when it officially forms it will probably cause a chain reaction that will almost destroy all his organs and start eating him alive.

I have been prepared for this though, so when I finally complete the rune, I will quickly kill him and then myself. When I take over his body, the natural healing effect will take place and that should sort out all the compatibility issues, thereby granting me the ultimate body!!

I have finally completed the final line of the symbol and as I expected, his body reacted really badly to it, so I stuck to the plan and quickly slit his throat before I cut my own head off. I wanted to make this process as swift and efficient as possible.

Aaaand as the familiar darkness slowly takes, I slowly open my eyes in my new body '....!!!'.
