8 First Copy Part 2

Clenching his fists and gritting his teeth, he knew he had to defeat him, but he was covered in flames and was much larger than the small Damian.

[Utsusu, how am I meant to defeat him, he is a Soul Spirit and I am a weak kid] frantically asked Damian in worry as he the flaming figure continued heading towards him.

{The strength of your will, mind and soul is what you have to rely on, you are in your soul form so are not dictated by worldly laws and the stronger your will, mind and soul, the stronger your soul form will be} explained to him Utsusu within his mind.

Hearing Utsusu's explanation, he calmed down and felt that his soul already had a strong will,l which was his will to do well, and therefore he couldn't allow himself to be stopped here.

With his small fists clenched, he charged at the flaming man and launched a fist with all his power and belief at his body.

The Soul Spirit didn't seem to be able to move and seemed to be restrained by a weird unknown power.

The flaming ancestor was unable to dodge and seemed to be frozen and as he was struck by the fist, dissipated into thin air.

As soon as the spirit dissipated, he felt that his soul now had a new entity as he was sucked out of this space and returned to his body.

Opening his eyes, he could feel that nothing had changed within his body and he still had the same amount of changeable energy.

[Utsusu did I succeed, all I did was punch him and he disappeared].

Analysing what he heard, Damian realised that Utsusu would never say the complete truth and would always miss out on important parts, which was probably intended, but it wouldn't be missed by Damian who was very attentive.

[Utsusu, you said permanently, is there a way to temporarily copy a Soul Spirit] enquired Damian using Utsusu's words against him.

{You are a tricky host, you are correct, but you should focus on the level you are currently at and what you can do now and don't think about things you can't do yet}.

As he heard this, he knew that his ability had many weird and profound applications, but for now he was excited to test out the Maxwell Fire Soul Spirit.

Withdrawing Utsusu from his dantian, Damian felt that his changeable energy rush through his body and felt that he was an empty vessel that had infinite space within him.

As the silver book appeared in his hand, he turned to the first page to find the words 'The Maxwell Fire Soul Spirit' and a rank 'E:1' and on the centre of the page was a small flame that signified the element.

Seeing this he was shocked, but it was a positive surprise.

[Utsusu how come it is ranked E:1 isn't my mother's Soul Spirit ranked at E:5], he asked confused but pleased.

{When using blood in order to gain a Soul Spirit, the host will gain the original most concentrated powerful Soul Spirit, however when copying a Soul Spirit or anything else directly you only copy the one that was in use} answered Utsusu.

Hearing Utsusu's answer, Damian jumped up in glee and was overjoyed that he had the legendary original Maxwell Fire Power.

{Don't get excited, this is a trashy Soul Spirit, you are really stepping on my pride by being joyful over such a weak power} refuted Utsusu.

This information slapped Damian in the face, yet instead of being upset he was excited and realised just how weak his arrogant family currently was.

[How do I use the ability then Utsusu] he asked, trying to stay calm and collected.

{You can feel a connection with the first page and must use it as a catalyst to transform your changeable energy to suit the Soul Spirit and you form the additional Soul Spirit, but it won't have a conscious and I will act as the spirit} explained to him Utsusu.

With Utsusu's explanation, he attempted to use the Soul Spirit and followed the instructions that Utsusu gave him.

He pulled on the connection he felt with the first page and felt that the changeable energy within him, that was previously clear, was bubbling and becoming a burning red colour.

As he did so, he felt a small flame form within his dantian next to the copy book and could feel a burning power surging through his body.

"What amazing power" mumbled Damian as he formed a small fireball within his palm and flowed flames through his body.

{What incredible talent and perceptivity, worthy of being my host, you not only succeeded in your first attempt you also learned 3 fundamental skills in an instant}.

Hearing Utsusu's praise he felt proud and had an accomplished feeling from deep within his soul.

Opening the Copy Book again on the first page he could see 3 generic skills written in a list.

As he saw this, he realised the three things he did subconsciously with the flame he felt, he had formed 3 skills.

[Utsusu can I begin cultivation now, I want to be the strongest] asked Damian eagerly.

{You could begin cultivation as soon as you awakened me, currently, your talent is at E:1, however, you must also supply me energy which means you need to cultivate twice the amount} stated to him Utsusu.

As he heard this, he was slightly let down, but didn't let it stop him.

{But the more Soul Spirits you copy the higher your talent and the more powerful we will both become} announced to him Utsusu encouragingly.

"We will become the greatest" exclaimed Damian thrilled.
