8 The vision

"Tina" Nora whispered, between her shivers, "Call them, they'll..."

"Nora call who? What happened? What did you see?" Tina asked, patting Nora's head which was still clasped in her hands.

"Look at me Nora." She said pulling Nora's hands away.

Nora raised her head, she was trembling, her face fear stricken. "They," she said her voice trailing off. She was hyperventilating.

"What happened Nora? Tell me." Tina said cupping her cheeks. She was ice cold.

"They-"

"Who?"

"George and Luke, accident. We've got to tell them Tina. It was huge, their car turned upside down, they were covered in blood, they were not moving." Nora forced words out of herself. Tina looked at her dumbfounded, "Are you sure Nora? It's not like before." she asked.

"Yes. I swear, I felt it, I can tell it's real. We've got to tell them." She said gripping Tina's arms.

"Okay. Where was it, the accident? "

"St Lucius street."

Tina took out her phone from her pocket, with one hand still on Nora's shoulder who was still shivering. Tina dialed George's number, it began ringing, no one picked it up. Tried once again, still no answer. Nora started to tense. "Calm down Nora."

Tina dialed again, first ring, second....

"Hello?" Finally he picked up.

"Hey George, where are you guys?" Tina said letting go Nora's shoulder.

"We're heading back, you need anything? Is it anything important?"

"Just tell me, damn it." Tina was losing her patience.

"Okay, we're in Downtown Sorane."

"Can you do me a favour, I wanted to try out this restaurant, can you look it up for me."

"Tina are you still drunk, it's almost 2 in the night, and you want us to check out a freaking restaurant." George snapped.

"Please George, I beg you, I'll owe you if you do this for me."

"What, you kidding me right?!"

"No I'm serious, please."

"Fine, wait." There was silence on the other side for a moment. "We'll do it, what's the name? "

"The Night Jazz. Call me once you get there."

"Okay, but-."

She hung up. "Look Nora, it's going to be fine now, I sent them away. They will be fine. Now get up, let's go back."

***

"She hung up on me." George snorted.

"You sure, she's not drunk." Luke said. "We'll have to take a complete opposite route to get back."

"I know, even so she sounded quite persistent. Never mind let's just turn around." George said.

They turned around and headed towards the restaurant.

Once at the restaurant, they were shocked, it was anything but a restaurant. Couples were making out, huddling over each other like it was the most common thing. "Is this the place, she wanted to come to?" Luke said, turning to look at George who was busy ogling over a woman in a super tight mini dress. "Hey." He punched him in the shoulder. "Yeah, even I'm shocked, that girl sure has weird tastes." He said coming back to his senses.

"Hey handsome, wanna come inside and have some fun." A woman cosplaying as a school girl came up to them.

"No, thanks" Luke said pulling George, "We gotta go buddy."

"Let me call her."

"Do that in the car." Luke said pulling at him.

They both headed towards the car which was parked across the street and got in. "Remind me again why we did this?" Luke said putting on the seat belt.

"I don't know." George said shrugging his shoulders, "We might be high or something, agreeing to something like this. This woman, she isn't picking up her phone."

"Try again later...fuck them."

"Hey mind your language." George snapped.

"It's not them. It's them." He pointed at a couple who was kissing frantically right in the middle of the street. He was honking at them continuously, still they didn't budge. "Should I run them over?" He said frustrated.

"Go ahead, you're the one driving." George said.

Luke revved up the engine, the couple broke apart, they hauled some curses at them and then moved aside. The moment was enough for Luke to speed across the road, making a few heads turn.

"Calm down Luke." George said trying his best not to laugh.

"Don't, just freaking shut up." He growled.

"I think I'll just leave a message, we'll talk to them tomorrow." George said

"There's no way I'm gonna go meet them, it's only been a few hours and my life is messed up."

"It's not their fault, well yes the restaurant part is, but that's too Tina's fault not Nora's. Also you've got to apologize to Nora about today."

"George you must be kidding me, I already gave her a lift back home and went to that trash place because of her friend. Now you want me to apologize to her?" He snapped.

"Yes I do and you will." George said removing his glasses. "Now better look on the road I want to get back alive. As for Tina I'll deal with her tomorrow."
