4 The get-together

The whole way all Nora heard was how hot the seniors were and how fun the so called get together would be. "I get it, the party's gonna be a blast." Nora said agitated. Tina shrugged her off and went on.

Finally the cab came to a halt, Nora got out at lightning speed, Tina followed. The club 'Binnie's Club' as the neon sign read. It looked like a high end club, seeing the queue outside. "Are you sure this the right place?"

"Yes. George might be here any time soon." She said looking around for someone, "There he is!" She started waving frantically.

A guy dressed in white chinos and a black shirt made his way towards them. He approached Tina and gave her a warm hug, "Tina, glad you could make it." He said with a warm smile.

His eyes fell on Nora who was standing behind Tina, "And who might you be?" He said.

"She's Nora, he one I told you about." Tina said pulling Nora forward and putting her arms around her shoulders.

"Nice to meet you Nora." He said, bending down to her eye level. "I'm George."

Nora managed to smile at him. "But I'm sorry, you can't go in there. The club only allows 20 and above and you're still 18." He said sounding all heartbroken.

Nora turned to look at Tina and gave her scornful look, "Looks like I gotta go, enjoy your night Tina." Nora said, but before she could say anything else, George pulled her into a hug and started laughing, "I was just kidding."

"I wasn't serious too, now let go of me" Nora said brushing him off.

"You got a temperament." George smirked.

Before she could strike back , Tina jumped in, "Why don't we get going?" She said linking her arms with Nora.

George gave Nora a hard stare and she returned it. Seeing her reaction, he smiled and said "Yeah, let's go."

Once there, George pulled out a card and showed it to one of the guards. He nodded and opened the door for them. Entering the club, Nora felt she entered a parallel universe. The light was too dim for her to even see where she was setting her foot, her voice was barely audible over the music. George lead them around a few corridors and they reached a private room. He opened the door for them.

In were seated five people, whom Nora had never seen. The three of them took a seat and the introductions began, turned out two of them were freshmen too, a guy with long blond hair and a girl who seemed like his girlfriend. The other two, a woman in a super tight red dress with red hair, who looked like Jessica Rabbit's real version and a man who was almost drunk, were in their final year. The last guy and and George were post graduates.

"You got company." The guy with long blond hair shouted.

"Yes" George said turning to them - "This is Tina, the one I told you about. And this - " He stared in Nora's direction "is Nora, Tina's friend." Nora rolled her eyes at him.

Nora found her sweet little space in the room. She started looking around while Tina was busy talking to Jessica Rabbit and the girlfriend.

"What are you thinking?" George whispered in her ear, startling her.

"Fuck," She hissed. He gave a gentle smile and settled beside her, invading her personal space. She moved towards the edge. George raised an eyebrow, "What?" Nora asked. He laughed and shook his head.

"Anyway, you look beautiful." Nora turned her head to look towards him, as if to check source of the sound.

Beautiful. Well, thankfully Tina had made her change into something appropriate for the party or she would have stood out like a sore thumb. She was in a pair of skin tight jeans and a lacy top, accompanied with high heeled boots which Tina insisted on.

"Thank you". George looked at her as if expecting for something more but she only looked at him quizzically.

He opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted by his cellphone. "Where the heck are you? You already here? Hm, okay, yes. Wait there I'll come get you."

He turned to Nora and said, "Sorry, I have to go." Nora sighed in relief. "I'll be back soon." She tensed.

As soon as he left, she slumped back into the couch and started thinking of an escape plan. Tina was now talking to everyone as if they were her long lost friends. She knew this would happen, Tina just got too excited on occasions like these.

But she, well not so much but she felt excited too, at some level. But looking around her she realized it was going to be one long night.
