Cover blows up

Tina and Nora had walked back to their room. Tina was pacing back and forth, while Nora sat on her bed hugging a pillow.

"Did you get anything?" Nora asked.

"No, I didn't pick his call, now he's not picking mine." She said agitated.

"They might have reached back safely, and now are sleeping, hopefully." Nora said.

"Nora, I'm doing this for you, you don't have any idea how you looked when you saw this vision. You looked as if you saw the Reaper."

Tina held up her hand. "Finally, you picked up. You were supposed to call back." She blurted

"Yeah, okay. We'll talk about that later. Where are you now? Thank goodness. No nothing, just go back to sleep. Good night."

"So what happened? " Nora asked putting down the pillow.

"They're well and fine. Back at their place. Looks like you saved them Nora." Tina relaxed.

"No it was you who saved them. I just told you what I saw, you were the one who took all the actions. That's why I was so relieved because I trust you." Nora said with a smile.

"Oh my sweet Nora, you're making me emotional. Now come give me a hug." Tina said opening her arms.

"Don't even think about it, go to sleep we have to attend our classes tomorrow."

Tina sighed and went to her bed. "Okay. Good night."

"Night."

"Wake up Nora!"

"Just five more minutes. You go have a shower, then wake me up." Nora said in a groggy voice.

"Nora Williams, if you don't get up in five seconds." Tina said, tugging at her blanket.

"Fine. I'm awake."

"Get up, will you?" She pulled Nora up by her arm and onto her feet. "Twenty minutes, get ready, I'll pack up my stuff. And don't dare to get back on the bed." Nora nodded with her eyes closed. She stretched and yawned and headed out to the bathroom.

Twenty minutes and Nora was all prepped up. "Let's go Tina, you're taking forever."

"Coming." She stepped out closing the door behind her. "When do your classes begin?" She said locking the door.

"11, yours?"

"My morning lectures got cancelled, I have a class around mid afternoon. We have time, let's head to the cafeteria." She said.

In the cafeteria, they chose their favorite spot and settled down. This bench, looked over the garden, a perfect way to start a day.

"Hey now let go of your phone. What would you like to have?" Nora said tapping on the table.

"The regular, coffee, no sugar, no cream. Wait you're getting the order today?" Tina said looking up from her phone.

"Yeah, treat it as a thanks for yesterday. Now give me the money."

Tina raised an eyebrow. "What you forgot about the nose. You gotta pay for it." Nora shrugged.

Tina shook her head and grabbed her wallet and handed out her card to Nora. She took the card with a sly smile and left.

"Don't over spend." Tina shouted.

"Okay mom." Nora shouted back.

Tina got back to her phone, checking all her profiles.

"Mind if we join?" A voice came from behind her.

She was startled, turning around she saw George and Luke standing behind her. "Damn it, you both. Yeah sure." She said.

George settled beside Tina while Luke took the seat in front of her. George leaned in and then turned towards her.

"What?"

"What, you ask." George said. "Yesterday, you made us go all the way to check out a so called restaurant. Remember?"

"Well yeah, it was just out of curiosity." She said fidgeting with her phone.

"Really, didn't seem like it though." George spoke.

"Well to be honest it was Nora, she wanted to visit that place." Tina said smiling.

"Nora?!" He shouted, "You think we're fools, we'll just believe whatever you say."

"I'm telling the truth" Tina rebuked. "These things kind of spark her interest. Even I was shocked at first." Tina almost whispered.

George looked at Luke who shrugged his shoulders. George sighed, "Didn't know our Nora had such bold tastes."

"Here she comes." Luke nodded towards Nora who was coming to the table with a tray in her hand.

"That's my place." Nora said staring at Luke. "Well I'm sitting here now." He said shrugging his shoulders. She rolled her eyes, she was in no mood for any kind of fight. She settled the tray on the table and sat down beside Luke, almost hanging on the edge.

"You know I don't bite." He said.

"But I can't take any risks." She replied.

George and Tina let out stifled laughs. She grabbed her chocolate milk and pushed the tray towards Tina.

"Didn't know chocolate milk was under your bold tastes." George said teasingly.

"Sorry?" Nora looked at him confused.

"We just heard you wanted to visit the Night Jazz. We saw what it was, it's good to know what you want." George said brushing off his hair from his forehead.

Nora was looking at George as if he was speaking some alien language. From the corner of her eye, she saw Tina who was joining her hands almost pleadingly.

"Yeah I know it feels good." Nora said nodding.

"So you really wanted to visit that place!" George asked wide eyed.

"Yeah, any problem with that?" She said.

George looked at Tina with shock in his eyes who nodded.

"Anyway, what's your favorite thing there?" Luke asked.

"Why should I answer you?" Nora said raising her eyebrows.

"Because I'm asking you, so tell me."

"The environment... Yes the environment." She said nodding.

"Yeah the environment's really good." Luke said looking at Tina, who was fidgeting with her phone.

"That place serves the best pasta in Downtown Sorane, right Nora?" He asked.

"Huh, yeah, the pasta's great, I tell ya." She said nodding.

George smirked and turned to look at Tina.

That's the end, Tina really wished she could vanish into thin air. "Damn Nora", she whispered. Well actually it wasn't even her fault, she had no idea what Night Jazz was, yet she tried her best to cover up for her.

"Oh, look at the time", Nora said getting up. "I got to go, you guys have fun." She fetched out the card from her back pocket and handed it to Tina, then grabbed her bag and glass and left. It all happened at lightning speed, before anyone could register, Nora was gone.
