I gave Eman a friendly dap and started walking towards Eva's place. "Eva is probably still the same, but I wonder how Pia is now? Completely forgot about her, hahah. Adem is probably still torturing her," I mused to myself as I made my way to Eva's, feeling increasingly guilty with each step.

After a few minutes of strolling through the city, I reached Eva's big house. Before stepping into her garden, I took a deep breath and mumbled, "Let's get this done," as I open the yard's small gate and approached the front door. I gave it a gentle knock.

A brief pause ensued, and the door opened slowly, revealing Eva's mother on the other side. She greeted me with a warm smile and sweetly said, "Oh? It's been such a long time since I've seen you. Let me call Eva, okay?"

From a distance, I spotted Eva sprinting through the hall toward me, tears streaming down her face.
