2 Adventure Two: Our God?

About a month or so after the incident with the Centaurs... I decided that I would watch over these two orcs and see what sort of antics they could and would get into.

But little did I know that not all of thier adventures were fun and games.... But a little background on me..

My name is Rowan I'm a lesser god that doesnt really have a "specific" power. Some gods are tied to storms, battles, certain animals....but I'm young so I dont have one yet.. I get a lot of the lesser desired tasks that others dont want to be bothered with.

See the only way to get more power as a god is to gain followers. Currently I have.....zero. But soon that all will change... as long as I can convince Mork and Bork to follow me.

When I first attempted to approach the two I tried to rise out of the nearby river.... that didnt end very well as apparently it was 'washing' day. I still haven't cleaned the taste of orc out of my mouth....

The second time I attempted... I came in the form of a rock spirit.... that didn't last long either because the brothers smashed me for 'Practice of killing pink skins.'

I was close to giving up I tell you... I attempted three more times after that but each time something would happen.

But one day I got tired of trying so I decided to send a heavy rain storm, you know lots of lightning, thunder and rain....with a slight hint of hail because I was mad...

I was surprised to see that Mork and Bork after about an hour or so had climbed to the top of a nearby rock and began scream towards the sky.

"Hey angry sky....leave us!" Mork said yelling and waving his axes as if he was trying to cut the clouds.

"Yea, angry sky is hurting people!" Bork yelled trowing one of his axes. The brothers continued to scream in very colorful language. Seeing this I decided to take a chance.

"Who dares challange my wrath!" I said with crack of thunder. I appeared before them as a swirl of wind, fire, rock and water. I expected the brothers to cower at first....but when Mork threw one of his axes at my face I knew otherwise.

"Raaa angry sky man leave." Mork said pounding his chest. "Angry sky man go now!" Mork continued to yell as I came closer.

"Why should I?" I asked the twins. Honestly I was curious on how they would respond. "Who are you to challange me? Puny orcs?" I remember very vividly that after I said 'Puny orcs' one of them hurled a rather large rock at my head.

"We no puny.... we strong. Sky man to big." Bork had said throwing another rock at me. "Raaaaa Fight me sky man!" Bork said waving his axe at me. "Fight m-" He attempted to say I a threw a rock back at him.

At first I found it funny...but it soon turned into annoyance because they wouldn't listen to me. Anytime I tried to say something they would scream and throw rocks at me.

After a few hours it seems that they were to tired to continue to toss rocks at me. They were sopping wet, covered in mud and just laid on the muddy ground panting.

"Are you two finished." I said with a sigh as I stopped the rain and shrunk down to thier size. "You know all I originally wanted to do was talk but man are y'all crazy." I said standing over them.

"Why sky man want talk...." Mork said panting as he watched me. "Sky man to strong...." He said sitting up. He looked over to Bork and helped him to sit up.

"Well honestly I've been trying to talk to y'all for a few weeks now...but everytime I try something gets in the way." I said looking at the two of them.

"Why us?" Bork said first looking at his brother with a confused look. "You come make us slave?" He said tighting his hand on his axe.

"What? No!" I said quicky. "I want to make you my followers....become your tribes god." I said sighing and making a stone chair to sit in.

"Why?" Mork said.

"So I can have followers." I said quickly.

"Why?" Bork then said.

"So I can gain power." I said looking to Bork.

"Why?" Mork said.

"So I am no longer a lesser god." I said getting a little annoyed.

"Why?" Bork said moving closer, like a child listing to a story.

"So I am not treated...can we move on." I started to say before catching on yelling. "To put it simply..... I want you and your people to become my followers so I can rank up among the gods...." I said sighing.

"Sure... what we need do?" Mork and Bork has said at the same time. At first I had expected for them to put up a fight.... But when they said yes I was speechless.

"Um....well you need to create a statue or an alter in your village foe people to leave offerings and pray at...." I said a little confused.

"What we call him...Sky person? Strom man?" Mork said looking at his brother.

"Call me Rowan.... that is my name...." I said quickly. Who knows what they would decide my name to be if I didn't stop them.

"So.... We make pray table...then what." Bork said placing a hand on his chin.

"You give me an offering... A sheep, cow....food metals anything really." I wasn't going to be very picky on my offerings.

"Ok...we leave make pray table....bring tribe." Mork said with a wide smile. And before I could say anything they two brothers ran off. Sighing to myself I thought 'what did I get myself into'

A few days later I noticed that in the Orc village there were masssive fires being lit. Curious I went down to check out what was happaning. When I entered the village I could hear clapping and crude music echoing around.

When I saw the alter I expected it to be made out of mud and sticks...but to my surprise it was made of marble, bones and even had a bit of silver in it. And sitting on top was a huge chunk of a silvery white metal. Seeing this I appeared in front of Mork and Bork

"Are you two offering up Mithral!?!" I yelled at them. Mork and Bork surprised at me appearing out of nowhere splashed me in the face with what I hoped was grog.

"Ahh sky man welcome! You like pray table?" Mork said with a goofy smile on his face.

"Yes yes you like?" Bork echoing his brothers question.

"Yes yes I like but answer the question...." I said looking back at the alter than back towards the brothers.

"You don't like shiny metal?" Mork and Bork both said saddly

"No...no...i like it..." I said quickly. Sighing deeply I looked back at the brothers as they raised thier hands and cheered. Seeing as there was nothing I could say or do I disappeared. And that's how I became Mork's and Bork's god.
