58 Chapter 30: Another confrontation and facing peril once again

Once Vincent completed his job, he hurriedly reported to Nicolas about the information's that he'd gathered. Though they are not sure whether this certain location is correct but, as they have no other lead yet, they have no other choice but to inspect this location.

They already reported this thing to the Police, though, at first, the Head of the Police didn't believe them but, who is Gen. Adrianno? do they have the gall to constantly reject them when they already presented an evidence? Of course the answer is no, so the only way to clear everyone's suspicion is that they mobilized their troops and search for that certain location.

They even search every CCTV camera that they could find to near that certain location but, unfortunately they couldn't find any as that County B is already a rural area and is surrounded with forest and mountains so they do not have any CCTV cameras.

Fortunately, they could still use the satellite image of the map and found the various houses and warehouses hidden inside the forest and the mountain.

They divided their team to search those five houses and warehouses. It was already six in the evening when they reach the last warehouse that they haven't search yet but they deemed fit to be the location where the culprit hid Leila and Emily.

"Agent 509, Clear", the soldier in lead said in his radio once he saw that the pathway is clear of any enemies.

"Agent 172, Clear", the soldier a few meters away from the first soldier said in his radio as well.

"Roger that, move!", Nicolas said once his men situated at the front said that area in front is clear they started to move and hid in between the trees.

"Enemies in sight sir, awaiting for orders", the soldier said as he halted and hid himself behind the tree nearest on him.

"All unit stand by", Nicolas ordered as he was observing the location and how their enemies moved.

"Team falcon, prepare to attack", Nicolas said as he leads the said unit. As there were a lot of rusty crates in front, they could hide from one crate to another while they were moving swiftly towards the enemy.

'Slash. Break. Slash'

Nicolas and his men sneaked behind their enemies and killed them silently by either breaking their neck or cutting their throat.

"All units move!", Nicolas said and the men on standby earlier had now started to move.

'Bang!'

They were already in front of the gate of the warehouse when they suddenly heard a gunshot inside the which halted their movement.

An hour before the gunshot...

After ten minutes, Alexander reached his destination using his chopper. He hastily went inside the warehouse to confront his wife.

After a few moments he reached the said 'storage room' and open its door. The two ladies were startled at seeing him hastily opening the door. Emily couldn't believe her eyes as she saw that Alexander were looking at her with mix expressions, anger, disappointment, and is that gentleness that she saw with her own eyes?

She doesn't even have time to process the things happening right now when Alexander suddenly went in front of her and grabbed her wrist tightly.

Her face twitched due to the pain she felt in her wrist like it will snap or broke any minute now if Alexander won't release her.

"You! Woman! We need to discuss something important right now!", Alexander shouted angrily.

Emily felt confused as to what Alexander is talking about.

Alexander seeing her confused expression felt his rising anger once again.

"Don't play dumb with me woman! Where are you hiding our son right now!?", Alexander asked directly without any hesitation.

He saw a minute of sudden panic in her eyes but change it to a calm expression once again that you might think that what you saw is only an illusion.

"Hmph, stop wasting your breath. We don't have a son and I'll never have any child with you b*st*rd!", Emily replied with still a calm expression though her tone seemed to have a tinged of disgust and mockery.

As Alexander wants to end this conversation right away, he pulled his video recorder and played it in front of Emily.

It was the recording of her and Leila's conversation a while ago. Emily's expression right now is of shock and panic. She thinks of any ways to deny it but it was clear that she couldn't deny any of it.

Alexander looked at her with a smug expression as if provoking her to deny it though they are both aware that Emily couldn't think of any alibi right now.

Leila was silent throughout this whole ordeal. She knows that once Alexander's line of sight pointed at her, it will be the start of her doom so she was thinking of ways to escape right now.

While the two were still in a lockdown expression, Leila observe her surroundings. The 'storage room right now is filled with five people which consist of Leila, Emily, Alexander and two of his subordinates which fully armed right now.

Alexander's line of sight pointed towards Leila's direction and Leila felt sudden nervousness that she hasn't felt for a long time now, maybe because she knows that she is not alone right and has someone that she needs to protect, most specially her child inside her womb right now.

"We'll talk about our problem later woman. Right now, I have business to attend to", Alexander said while a dangerous glint appeared in his eyes as he directs his eyesight towards Leila.

Leila knows it was hard to escape right now specially that her arms and she was tied in a chair right now.

"Well, as you are an acquaintance with my wife I won't mistreat you and let you perish right away with your body fully intact", Alexander said in his stoic expression as if he is only talking about a day to day matter.

'The heck! wouldn't mistreat me? doesn't killing me is the same as mistreating me!? Only a fool would believe you!', Leila shouted inside of her head angrily.
