It all started when Marcus committed suicide, not because he was suicidal or miserable with his life. His life was stagnant, he was unfulfilled with his lifestyle of going to work in the morning, and returning in the evening. The expectations from everyone around him, pressuring him to fit in, to conform, to society. To be a person who contributes to society. Marcus wanted a way to escape. Killing himself was the one of the many ways to escaped his boring life. It was the only time when his heart was beating restlessly. What was going to happen, on the other side. So Marcus went all head with it. And he died. Founded days later by his family, who saw his dead body hanging from a rope. But for Marcus what he saw he did not expect. It wasn't not nothingness, but building collapsed fires raging all over the place. And a hologram projection in front of him? *Cover not mine*
Marcus was an ordinary man, that you could find anywhere in America, he had black-brown hair, with hazelnut eyes.
After he graduated from community college, he went straight into employment, after being advised by his family and relatives to quickly get a stable income.
He first decided to worked at a financing company for a year, to experience what it was like in industry.
What was initially a year became 2 years then 8 years until he was still working at the same for 10 years. Marcus worked with high-end celebrities to the average person, that came to the company. Since the company paid better than other companies, it was a better choice of a job.
In his first year, he was happy to start working for a company earning his own money, finally becoming independent from his own family.
Marcus had quickly made a routine for the day, that he built from his year of experience in the company.
Continuing the same boring routine, for ten years, mentally exhausted Marcus. His work, became unfulfilling. Random waves of depression would hit him randomly, whenever he would think about the meaning of his life, if was just like everyone else.
If he was just a background character, with no importance.
He had dreamed of becoming someone different from the rest of society. He dreamed of living his life with no restraint like the celebrities, dreaming of travelling the world.
His 11 year of working for this company was coming near, only 2 months away.
Marcus knew his dream of travelling around the world, whilst living in luxury, was never going to happen. Over the 10 years, he slowly accepted that it was never going to happen and continued to work.
The only time he could escape from his unfulfilling life was to sleep.
So whenever he came from work he would sleep for hours, even if he wasn't tired

<Boring> Marcus concluded as he finishing the last of the paperwork, for a client.
<The same boring thing, every single day>
<I want to be free from all the responsibilities, of living.>
<It all about money money money money> Marcus thought slowly started go down a very dark route.
Marcus showing no emotions on his face, whilst internally cursing himself and the world, robotically doing his assigned work for the day. Until a co-worker came up to him, looking like he just finished his work and was about to leave.
"When are you going to have the paperwork for the client finished, me and some others were wondering if you wanted to come have a drink tonight" said the co-worker as he stood opposite Marcus's work desk.
"I'll probably won't have this finished for another hour" Marcus replied, with solemn smile before returning his focus to his work.
After an hour, Marcus got ready to leave the company building to return home, for the day. Usually, he would return home, eat some dinner then play games, and go to sleep.
At first, playing games used to unfocus him from his life, it was fun, but only temporary.
And soon enough games became boring, and Marcus looked for a stimulate to make his life more bearable.
Marcus had tried Alcohol and drugs to stimulate him, but he realised those were only making forget about his problem, and he knew that avoiding it would never work.
So he headed back to sleep, to be well rested for another boring work filled day.

Finally, Marcus's 11 year at the company had come.
He was 33 years old now with no one in his life that he was intimate with, and his waves of depression became more and more frequent.
The more and more he realised his life was just meaningless, he wanted to escape from it all.
In the heat of the moment the conclusion he came up to was kill himself, the ultimate way to free your self from the world itself.
And Marcus did just that, and there he stood on top of a chair with a noose around his neck connecting to the ceiling fan in his room. His heart was pounding with an unknown feeling as the noose laid on his neck, a single sweat sliding down his smiling face.
<What's this feeling? Why is my heart beating do fast?> questioned Marcus as he slowly edged towards the edge of the chair.
His feet had finally pushed back the chair making slowly falling backwards behind, the noose slowly tightening around his neck.
To Marcus it seemed as the whole world slowed down for him. However Marcus was still contemplating about the what he was feeling.
<Ah...I remember...this is excitement> Marcus finally concluded, just as the world returned to it original speed.
The noose clamping shut his arteries and veins in his neck, cutting the blood flow, crushing his throat Marcus was now unable to breath. Even though Marcus was excited although the pain he felt from slowly suffocating and his crushed throat was still unbearable.
But only a choking voice of struggle could be heard.
Until Marcus slowly stopped flaying around his arms and legs slowly losing strength, letting them hang down.
At 2:43 am on 1st of January 2016, New Years Day, the man Marcus took his own life. His body hanging from the ceiling fan like an ornament.

"Oh my god what is that smell" said the neighbour, as they covered their nose to block the pungent smell premating through the wall.
After going to the next door over, who's wall connected to the neighbour's wall, they furiously knocked on the door.
"YOUR APARTMENT SMELLS LIKE SHIT, SORT THAT SHIT OUT!" shout the person through the door, before mumbling something under the breath, about complaining and walking back into their apartment.
After a day, the neighbour had enough of the smell, and asked the landlord to find out what's causing that disgusting smell, from the door over.
The neighbour and the landlord walked over to the apartment, and knocked on the door.
"We're coming in to check what the smells all about" shouted the landlord through door, making sure that it was loud enough for the tenant to hear.
"..."
After getting no response, the neighbour and landlord opened the door, the disgusting smell washing over them, even worse than before.
Walking around the apartment to see it pretty clean, until the landlord opened the door to the bedroom, to see the Marcus hanging from the ceiling fan.
The landlord had horror in his eyes, maggots all over the man's body, his skin loose from his body with a green-yellow colour to it, his eyes appeared to be eaten out by the insects, his stomach bloated to an extreme. The landlord's observation was cut short, as the neighbour began to scream as she walked into the bedroom.
"AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH"
After the landlord calmed down the person, he called the police. The building was surrounded in police tape, ambulances and police cars waited outside the apartment block, drawing the attention of the whole neighbourhood.
After identifying the body, they looked through Marcus phone and contacted his family.
His family was obviously devastated.
Burying him a day later in a cemetery nearby, to at least bury their son before he decomposed even more.

Just as Marcus's body was discovered, he slowly opened his 'eyes' to a whole new world.
<Where the fuck I'm?> thought Marcus as rays of sunlight shone down on him.
[Welcome, to a new world Marcus] said a robotic voice in his head.
