1 The light was snuffed out.

The lights flickered throughout the house. The sounds of scurrying rodents echoed loudly. Fallen leaves scattered across the floor, spider webs hung low from every corner with the creators hiding in the deepest parts of the crevices waiting patiently for their prey. Old tattered furniture shadows dancing through the flickers of light, broken glass windows littering the yellowed marble tiles on the floor. Decaying walls sporting black splatters of dried liquid. Darkness engulfed every nook and cranny of the house. Silently showing it's prowess.

Evil lurks here waiting to devour you.

A wretched scream erupted from within the house, rattling the hinges on the almost fallen doors of the building. The scream was loud, hollow and miserable. Soon after a sudden gust of freezing cold air was felt through the decaying structure followed by the sound of a slap.

"He is alive. Explain." asked a sinister voice. Heavy chains jolted loudly in the dark house, a shiny black Smith & Wesson K22 tapped lightly on the floor with a small *click* indicating the safety was no longer on.

"I don't know." whispered a small hoarse feminine voice.

"Good. Very good. It seems that I've let you live too well lately, let's change that." A cruel dazzling smile emerged slowly on the face of the devil.

"Please, I really don't know. Please don't, I can fix it. Please don't hurt me." begged the small voice, pearly white teeth biting harshly on a full lower lip drawing blood.

"Begging?" A loud slap landed, " I taught you better than to beg you wretched girl." The cold barrel of the gun pointed towards the thin legs of the figure on the floor, a slender finger playfully stroked the trigger.

"For your mistake you must bleed." growled the voice.

A second later the trigger was released, a pained cry resounded throughout the vacant house. Blood seeped out slowly from the small figure crouching on the decayed floor, the smell of iron grew stronger as the figure slumped against the wall. Suppressing it's cries of agony with a dainty fist. The head of the figure hanged low, wronged and in excruciating pain.

The sound of footsteps leaving in a leisurely and graceful manner, as the owner of the footsteps whistled as if nothing had happened. The shadow walked towards the entrance of the house stopping for a millisecond before leaving the small dainty frail figure in a pool of blood behind.

Anai-ya opened her tear stained eyes. Blinking rapidly, beads of sweat had gathered on her forehead and face while her hands were curled into tight fists. It was the same nightmare. Again.

She looked up at the ceiling and sighed it was past midnight. The sounds of the outside world had long since died down. A small light fixture gave off a dim light from the corner of her spacious room. The three floor to ceiling windows of her room brought in the darkness of the night sky. The wall on which her bed was placed was a pearly white color making it stand out slightly against the dark that seeped in from outside and the dim light from the corner. Despite the careful arrangements of the furniture and warm beige comfy carpet meant to give a warm comfy feeling the room gave off a cold suppressed air.

Anai-ya threw off her covers, flinging her long legs over the side of her bed. Stepping lightly on the comfy carpet she walked slowly to the window in her silk pajama shorts and camisole that accentuated the beautiful curves of her body. With her long midnight hair draped over her shoulders she stood with her back straight with her arms folded across her chest.

Her left hand reached out pressing against the thick bulletproof glass. Spreading her slender fingers apart she stared hatefully at her ring finger. Throughout the day she had to wear that hideous 10c diamond ring, parading it around to state that she was off limits to other's lustful advances. Those lustful states never knowing that the ring was a hoax. A concoction of deceit; jealousy and rage forced that hateful diamond onto her finger. No love was behind that ring, not one once of warmth. Only obsession, jealousy, possessiveness and rage. That's all this ring represented in reality. Nothing more.

Anai-ya wanted so badly to throw the ring from the top of the roof. She hated it. She loathed the demon of a man who forced her to wear the unsightly thing day in and day out. Her heart was so full of loathing it was blacker than coal. The passion with which she cursed the man every morning was so intense it'd give you chills. She loathed the creature with her entire soul, impatiently waiting for the right time to end his miserable wretched existence, but…..she couldn't. Not yet anyway. Her treacherous plan was almost ready, it's final details were being fine tuned to perfection. Failure was unacceptable.

She dropped her hand clenching it tightly into a fist cracking her knuckles with the sheer pressure. A beautiful smile spread across her face dripping with ruthlessness. Her dimples deepened as her smile grew, her pearly white teeth gleamed against the thick crystal clear glass. Her gold like amber eyes flashed. She'd bleed him dry until not a single drop of blood was left, then she'd feed his empty corpse to the wolves. She'd revel in the sounds of his bones snapping under their canine teeth. Time was passing too slowly for her liking, her entire being could not wait much longer for that day.

Hell, she'd turn it into her personal holiday every year afterwards in celebration of the bastard's demise. She'd collect the interest on all the debts he owed her. Every single debt would be repaid in full.

Anai-ya continued to stand there facing the midnight sky, her long dark lashes fluttering every now and then as she fell into a trance of joy. Whenever she thought about his upcoming murder she'd enter into a state of pure happiness. As cruel and evil as her plan was it made her immensely happy knowing that he would not be able to escape her blood thirsty hands.

She was once a beautiful flower when she entered this world, her petals were pure and full of life until she was ruthlessly ripped out of the soil. Her petals turned to dust under the burning flames of the evil that ripped her out. The sun set as the darkness snuffed out the light. Devouring its beauty, it's light. Leaving only evil bloodthirsty thorns of death.
