24 Secret mission!

"Aiden?" Maya looked at him, she still had to look up a bit, given her height. "He is really tall", she thought.

When she was young, people used to make fun of her unusual height. She used to be body- shamed for having a tall and lean figure. In the beginning it was because of malnutrition; her mother never paid any attention to her. But after their father had accepted some facts, he started to pay attention to his daughters. It helped in the good growth of the sisters from then onwards.

Later on, it was this height of 5 feet 8 inches which introduced her to this beautiful world of fashion art. She got selected in an audition, and her fateful journey began.

"Huh?" When Maya called out his name again, Aiden woke up from his stupor.

"I asked that could we have had a different ending to things if we had-" Maya was too embarrassed to continue with her sentence, "-never mind!" she left her question incomplete.

Aiden who had heard it right the first time as well, hurriedly answered, "Well of course it might have been different! Both of us... could have had some of the most best moments you could have only dreamt of?" He was so flustered that he started spouting nonsense.

"I d-don't know what would have happened to us in the past, but I am really waiting for our future eagerly. I can really feel it!"

Maya looked at him and said, "You can feel it? You know what I have realized in these few days? Feelings can be considerd as visitors. They come and go away."

"But both of us can make memories.... memories; be it sad or happy ones, they will always stay. And I can assure you, with me every memory you will make would be the best one." Aiden was very serious as he talked about this.

Maya finally had a smile after watching his antics. She raised her hand up till his head and ruffled his hair. Seeing that even his ears were turning red, she felt that he was a very innocent man. Maya started walking back to the door as she playfully asked him, "Which shampoo do you use?!"

"Why?"

"I love the touchy feeling your hair is giving. It is so smooth and soft! I feel as if I will never get bored of touching it, so I want it for myself. Tell me!?"

"Why do you want it for your hair? You can just keep touching mine." Aiden mumbled so that Maya couldn't hear him. But still he felt happy. It was as if he and Maya had gotten a lot closer tonight.

"The love birds are finally back!" Liam secretly told Sofia who was busy having the last piece of her dessert.

During the long talk Maya and Aiden were having, both Sofia and Liam were also not left behind, they had also discussed different things and even various methods to accomplish a mission they had made for themselves- the mission of making Maya and Aidan a couple!

"Mission Love Birds starting!" Sofia said as she pretended to sleep on the table with her head down.

"Oh Sofia! when will you give up on your habit of sleeping anywhere!?" As soon as Maya reached there she went on to pick Sofia up from the table. Unexpectedly, Maya felt as if today Sofia was just too heavy for her. As soon as she looked up at Aiden to ask him for help, Liam suddenly called him out and said, "Aiden quickly call Brother Ethan or your Sister-in-law! I remember when I was leaving the meeting, both of them were talking about something. It seemed urgent."

"Oh. Thanks for informing me buddy. I will call them now. Can you please help Maya bring Sofia up?" saying that Aiden went away.

"Thank you" Maya said as Liam helped Sofia who was 'sleeping'. Maya and Sofia's bedroom had two beds in it. As soon as they reached the room, Maya tucked in Sofia to sleep on her bed, and as she turned around, she saw the man who had just laid down on her bed for some rest, was fast asleep.

"Ugh! Now what is this! Where should I sleep now? Is it okay if I let them sleep here? I don't think that Mr. Moore is an indecent man, and since both of them are asleep, maybe I can book another room." Thinking that, Maya absentmindedly closed the door as she came out of the room.

As soon as the door closed, Maya remembered, "Wait! I didn't take my purse or anything! How am I supposed to book a room." After hesitating a bit, Maya rang the doorbell. *ting-tong* ... But there was no response. "To sleep like a log, guess both of them were really tired . But what should I do now!?"

"What is the fuss about? Did you get locked out?!" Aiden also had his room on the same floor. He had just returned back from his call with his brother and saw Maya standing out alone.

"Yeah... hehehe" Maya said embarrassedly.

"No need to worry! Come up to my room? As you know I have two beds. You can sleep there!" Aiden suggested.

"Well okay... Thanks!"

Meanwhile in the room next door, the sleepy people had woken up and were celebrating their small accomplishment.

"See? Didn't I tell you that if we hid her purse before, she would totally forget about it!?"

"Yes- yes. But even I did a great job him hiding the key-card, right?! If not she may have entered the room already!"
