Between ultimate power at the expense of others, or the power to protect others from all harm, we like to assume we would choose the latter. Good looks, talent, intelligence, charisma, and a future as king when his father decides to pass on the crown. But from the inside looking out, all Jonathan can see is a world of expectation crashing down around him. As his family, the kingdom, and the country discover his failure, Jonathan, the boy who had it all, is left with nothing. A right he was forced into at birth in the first place. He is stripped of honor, robbed of dignity, and disowned by a world that expected everything, and then tore everything away. He never asked for responsibility. He was a child who had greatness forced onto his shoulders. Now, after buckling under the weight, he has become a broken vessel. A tool without purpose. As Jonathan spends another lonely night lost and desperate for purpose, he asks the god of his family, a god he never truly believed in, for a favor. To his surprise, he begins to sense something stirring within him. Suddenly wielding a power he doesn’t completely understand, Jonathan is faced with a choice. Will Jonathan use his newfound power to demand the respect and glory the world had stripped from him, or will he rise above his hurt and shame to stand in the shadows and protect the new future king, his younger brother David.
