1 Chapter 1: The Unruly Awaking of a Hybrid

As a the only member of my species - that I know of, and being the one and only I am bombarded with stupid questions in my daily existence. Especially when in monster city when the crowd can't help but gawk at the peculiar creature that is me.

I'm not ashamed of what I am, but utterly alone in this world. Monster City is perfect for many, but there I feel like alone and like a walking freak show. In the human world I can do what I want when I want, and be whatever my heart desires. My companion Aqua (A witch who has been by side for the past 300 years) never judged me for acting on my impulses. Drinking blood with greed was no biggie, and letting my beast be unleashed in the wilderness is fine as well, but only if she can come too. I've lived too long to give a shit about what others think of me, but it is comforting to know someone always has my back no matter what.
