Training 20

"Aella, are you okay? Can you still stand?" Sofia was highly strung at the moment. Before Aella has even got the chance to speak, one big necromancer appeared on the left side of the area. Sofia noticed this as she tried to help Aella get up. Realizing that they were in grave danger, she grabbed her bow and set some arrows in order to kill the necromancer. Using a high-powered skill boost, she immediately one-hit the creature instantly making some spaces and time for them.

"Alright, we are good for now. It seems like most of them are gone already, let's go somewhere else and treat you." Sofia said.

"No, I'm okay..." Aella disputed this, but even after contributing, her knees ran out of energy to support her. The effect of the dark arts is major and minacious for a frail person.

"What do you mean you're okay? You cannot even fight! Let's get out of here." Sofia insisted on retreating in order to save Aella. Her condition is worsening.

While they are contending at each other, a set of footsteps can be heard approaching their way. It was Hayato.

"Aella! Sofia! What happened? What's the matter?" He shouted as he stopped abruptly. He gazed to see if there are any Necromancers but there was nothing to be seen at their radius.

"She was hit by the purple wave spell, I think she needs treatment as quickly as possible. From what I've seen, the effect is not slowing down, any more than waiting is just a ride to her graveyard." Sofia explained the situation to Hayato. He gasped as he heard her condition.

"Damn it! I apologize that we didn't get to protect the backside–"

"No, it's fine. you guys did your best. It's my own fault for being weak and slow." Aella interrupted Hayato's regretful act. He suddenly twitched as heard that but he didn't say any words to dispute that fact.

"Sorry, I'm holding you guys back, am I right?" She asked in a soft voice filled with despair as she endures the pain of the dark arts magic spell.

"No, you've been a great help. You've done your part, it's time for us to show you what we are capable of." Hayato's encouragement reached Aella like it was nothing.

The ground continued to shake because of the massive amount of exchanges between the necromancers and the other Astrochist who were dueling it. The good news is, they were not that seriously injured and they managed to kill at least half of the entire necromancer's army.

"How many hours have passed now?" Sofia asked Hayato.

"I am not really sure, but I think more than two hours have passed since they've started appearing. It would take us a lot more time in order to kill all of them. I'm quite afraid that we may not be able to kill like a hundred of them in such a short period of time." Hayato responded while sweating. He is feeling the stress now alongside with the pressure of winning the trial.

"Do you have some kind of a plan then?" Sofia continued to squeeze down some answers from Hayato in which he smirked while brimming with confidence. He wiped down his sweat using his arm and gazed at her.

"Now that you've asked, I do have some kind of a plan." He exclaimed.

"What is it?"

"To start off, I have krone to take the front line for a while to hold them off as I gather some mana. I have a secret spell to release that may show them vulnerable for a while. If I can pull this off without any mistake I can pretty much give you guys some time to escape and for like a couple of minutes to make them vulnerable and easy to kill." Hayato explained the plan.

"So you're releasing a full one-sided attack? How are you going to do that if you don't know when or where will they show up?" Sofia asked the same question as Krone asked earlier.

"I don't need to kill them... See that over there?" Hayato pointed his finger on the other side of the temple.

"Everyone is fighting for their sake of survival. What I'm planning to do is to give them an opportunity to kill these monsters without any problem. Yes, that's right. I'm going to cast a spell that will make light and gather them up in one location. And then after that, all of our class will have to kill them. That will make things easier in my own perspective." He answered.

"I see, you have a point there. Alright, how much time do you need?" Sofia asked one more time. Aella's condition is worsening as they talk.

"A little bit more time and I can now release it. I just need to find an optimal location..." As soon as he said that, he started gazing around to find a place where he can easily pull of the trick.

"There!" He found one.

"That's too risky, you know?"

"I don't really care, anyway, take Aella and get out of here. I can still pretty much hold them off on my own. Also, cast some magical barrier and a reflective wind magic healing spell while you guys run. It will slow down the effect of the dark magic arts." Hayato responded.

"Alright, I'll trust you guys in defeating this." She grabbed Aella's hand and supported her to stand up.

"Wind Magic skill: Tree of life" Sofia cast a magical healing spell to Aella and it works perfectly. Some of her wounds have started to disappear and the effectiveness of the dark magic arts is slowing down. But to no avail, the pain is still there.

"Don't worry, Aella. I'll promise that we will survive here. We don't have a choice but to trust them." She said.

Hayato swung his golden sword to hold the necromancers off. He killed at least five of them while running around to reach the optimal location he had seen earlier.

"Damn it! There are so many of them. I need to save my mana or else I wouldn't be able to use my tornado spell." He said while continuing to slash.

"Hayato! What's the next step now?" Krone called out to him while they were negating them.

"I'm going to that hill over there on the top of the temple to release it. Krone, can you frag them there?" Hayato shouted.

"Alright, let's do this." Hayato and Krone switched places and the aim of the necromancers has focused on Krone. Hayato quickly fled the scene to go to the hill on top of the temple. He immediately set up some things and started accumulating some mana.

As soon as he reached the top, he stabbed the ground with his golden sword. Yellow particles have appeared and erupted in front of him. The golden sword he has have gained an aura that provided some light in some ways. Everyone was bewildered by the amount of mana that Hayato is entrusting to his synchronized wand.

After a little while, he was finally ready to release them all.

"Time to end this!" he quickly grabbed his golden sword and swing it really high. The particles that were erupting suddenly burst and it made a lot of streaks. The light that was surrounding them dispersed around the area. He held his sword on the sky and his yellowish eyes glowed upon reaching the maximum imbued power.

"What is that?"

"Hayato is doing something!"

Everyone noticed this activity that Hayato is doing and they were suddenly gaining some confidence. Some of them cheered.

"Hayato! Do it now!" Krone shouted really loud and everyone gave a startled expression.

"Wind Magic Skill: 7th form: Golden Tornado!" As soon as he heard Krone's signal. The sky suddenly twisted itself. The audacity of the ground was amplified and it shook the whole place including the village. The golden sword that he was holding up in the sky released a yellowish wave through the dark sky and after a few seconds. A massive tornado appeared and it gradually converted the land into a mess.

As it goes on, the dark clouds that were inhabiting the place earlier vanished implying that the tornado sucked it all. Hence, the clear blue sky was seen once again. The necromancers around the area blew away and some of them flinched giving the others the opportunity to kill them in one shot in which it worked perfectly more than what Hayato expected.

It didn't stop there, as everyone is running around causing some havoc, the strong tornado released a golden light and it exploded. All of the sucked variables that were imbued inside it flinched away and died. As soon as the necromancer was shown to have some vulnerable side, they all jumped into the battlefield and killed them all.

And thus, Hayato's plan was perfectly executed.

Words around the town hall dispersed and many people saw the massive mana accumulation as well as that tornado. They were all surprised that an individual has managed to create something that powerful.

"Pier..." Syphyl called out pier while watching the strong tornado destroy the place.

"What? If you're going to brag about how you have a strong student then please no..." Pier knew that Syphyl will be bragging about it so he stopped the discussion without starting it.

"Haha, I knew you would say that..." Syphyl chuckled as he teased him. He then gave her a glare.

"Heh! Look at you acting so high and mighty..." He nagged while sipping some coffee.

After a few minutes, the show was finally over. The Wind elemental users have achieved grand total of one hundred and sixty-six kills. They all passed the trial.

"It's finally over...?" Hayato was barely hanging. He used all of his mana in order to release that massive spell and that caused his body to be so weak. Eventually, he fell down and he just completely stared at the clear blue sky with the sun setting in on the enter. The fresh air of the land have appeared and they were all congratulating each other. Maintaining the beauty of this land is pretty hard but that is why they were all here to free the land out of these creatures that weren't able to rest.

Krone walked up to see how Hayato is doing and he smiled as he saw him.

"So, how does it feel like being the one to save everything?" Krone sat down and rest beside him.

"Well, I'm not sure if I should be really doing this. It takes half of my mana and my body won't move already. Haha" he responded.

"Well everyone is glad that you're able to sacrifice a little bit part of you in order to pass." Krone said.

"Anyway, have you seen Sofia and Aella?" Hayato asked.

"Yeah, they safely evacuated and started pulling back along with the other injured Astrochist as well. I'm not gonna lie to you, most of them suffered a lot of attacks."

"This is really cruel. To think that we are allowed to infer ourselves in these dangerous fields without even considering our powers and strengths. It's pretty stressful and I'm not really fond of it. Especially when there's a lot of girls in one class." He answered.

"Well, in my own view, I think they are advancing us pretty early so we can battle the enemies easily. I mean, if we are just going to be stuck on practicing our spells without any battle experience, it would cost us our lives because we're naive."

"Still though, I really wished there was a better way of doing this. Well, they are not really the one to blame since we all asked for this. Everyone agreed to this kind of action and tasks. But I gotta be honest it is really fun working together and fighting together."

"You're one crazy person, Hayato." Krone punched Hayato in the shoulder.

"Aw! What's that for?" He nagged as he endures the pain.

"I agree with you though. It is fun to fight with each other. Well, here comes our journey to be one of the top strongest elemental mages around the world."
