1 Computer Simulation Code

The cricketing sounds of crickets could be heard noisily as the night stretched on, covering the sky with star-lit darkness, blanketing the earth's surface as the moon rose into the middle of the sky and shone specifically on a suburban city, where a particular person's house was housing the happening of an exclusive but secret phenomenon, that had recently occurred to the few chosen people, following the outbreak of dungeons and monsters appearing in mysterious landmasses that had magically burst out of the earth's crust in what seemed to be randomized locations.

Mysteriously enough, and fortunately, if you consider the benefits that the government had obtained from keeping the phenomena a secret to the public, the landmasses and dungeons never spawned anywhere near the residential areas where the majority were non-assimilators; plus, strangely, the monsters occasionally escaping from the secured hidden dungeons located in the landmasses, that had been facilitated by the government; never seemed to go anywhere near normal people either.

Their trails indicated that the escaped high-tier monsters traveled to abandoned places where their animal prey would always be abundant.

But where normal people would never think of going.

The secret subjugation squads consisting of high-ranking assimilators and norms that were tasked to bring down the escaped monsters had always succeeded in their missions without any casualties; from the norms that is.

But there were deaths and injuries from the assimilators in the squad and from the other places.

They did not know why at the time.

The squads had reported that they would always encounter the monsters in secluded places while snacking on several unfortunate Hunter-Job-Assimilators who were unalerted as they were just on their way to special hidden homes after a monster-decreasing mission from the government just before the high tier monster escaped.

In the battle with the squads, the high-tier monsters would always only aim for the assimilators whenever they had the chance; even though they would always be overwhelmed by the splendid teamwork of those high-rankers.

While the monsters would frequently stay as far away as they could from the normal fighters who were much weaker as they got wounded by magic-reinforced weaponry that the norms possessed.

The strong high-ranking monsters seemed wary of the normal people. But why?

They had, of course, no reason to be afraid, as they could stand a fair chance even against many high-ranking assimilators.

Normal people, even veteran fighters, would act as dolls for them.

Unfortunately, though, the squads were too focused on quickly subjugating the monsters; so that they could return to their secret HQ to boast about their success; and to of course get their hefty payments and a promotion for a job well done; while hoping that tomorrow, another monster would escape along with another day of infamy and well-riches for them; ultimately ignoring the many hardships that were brought upon the low-ranked assimilators once the monster stepped out of the high-tier hunting grounds in the landmasses to the outside world.

So they never thought too much about the beasts' strange attitude towards the normal fighters of the team.

And usually, these escaped monsters were in the Category III Phases and were, therefore, stronger and harder to keep control and for low-ranked assimilators to deal with.

That was why they could escape from the seemingly perfect barrier the government had established around the landmasses with the help of a few high-ranking assimilators.

They needed a lot more of high-ranking assimilators to fight the strong escaped monsters.

But the high-ranking officials were too selfish and they sent out too many High-Rankers.

Therefore, subjugations became relatively easy.

The squads were even able to bring back some of the escaped monsters alive to their HQ after they put them to sleep; as per the request of the higher-ranking officials who wanted to learn more about the nature of these beasts.

As they were not allowed to capture alive a monster that was kept in the monster tier grounds of the landmasses and bring them out to special labs, they could only rely on high-ranking monsters that occasionally escaped.

Or more like they couldn't. Lowest-tier monsters; like the Brown Wolf, or the Slime, would always perish not long after they were taken out from the mystical aura that surrounded their landmasses' Secret Facility. Stronger mid-tier Monsters; like the Monsterized Tiger or the Mythril-Fanged Lycan, could stay outside longer. But was still not long enough for tests.

High-tier monsters were truly monsters indeed; they could stay outside for very long periods once they escaped.

It could be because they were capable of accumulating the substances of the landmasses' aura inside their bodies; that they did not need to always be around their home.

Another one of the reasons why they frequently escaped, it seemed.

Hell, some of the more freakish scientists even hoped that a lot of the high tier monsters would escape, as they would have many test subjects.

The idea of subjugating a high tier monster in its territory shuddered their very souls.

Not to mention the high rankers' stubborn attitudes.

Finally, the scientists had gotten their hands on live monsters.

Immediately, they began their experiments with high hopes.

On the occasion, they stumbled upon a deadly revelation; one that they could not determine when they were experimenting on dead monsters.

One of the results was that the atoms of live monsters were capable of secreting an extraterrestrial virus that would spread exponentially once released.

Further experiments showed that the assimilators were immunized by the mysterious computers that also assimilated the codes to them; while normal people were vulnerable against the consequences.

This was ironic as to how the monsters would do anything they could to get out of reach of any normal person.

Seemed like the virus didn't have the same ideals.

Even though they were literally in a state of symbiosis.

By the time the scientists had nearly confirmed everything they knew and what they could get from the captured live monsters; it was too late.

Nearly every normal person in the vicinity had caught the virus and was subdued in predetermined times; mostly a month after they were diagnosed.

Though most tests led to the possibility of the virus incubating inside the majority of the positively diagnosed nineteen days before the symptoms started to show.

The COVID - 19 Virus.

And even though the area of this suburban city was secretly stated as one of the danger zones, not many virus cases occurred and the residents were living relatively in peace.

In a brightly lit bedroom, in one of the houses in a district of the suburban city, where the snoring sounds of a single teenager could be heard, an articulate voice of a young female sounded reverberatingly around the room.

The female computer's voice was overlapping with the youth's harsh breathing.

It seemed something big was occurring to the bedridden teenager, something regular assimilators could only hope that it might suddenly happen to them while being unbeknownst to him...

*[Note]

*[The computer has run a simulation code on the character using base stats. Stats are used exclusively to simulate combat. If the character attacks a monster, the computer will need a way to decide if he/she hits it, and if he/she does, how much damage he/she will inflict, and finally, it will need to check if the blow will kill the creature. That is why, to make these decisions, the computer has run the simulation code on the character. As in the statistics]

[Base Stats]
