Prologue Part 3

"My reign of Tyranny? I think you must be confused with someone else. I saved this universe from a corrupt government and brought peace here. I did it, not those abominations in court!" The Dark Master shouted as he struggled to break free. The mud around his legs began to crack slightly and for a moment doubt crept into each Trappers mind.

"No, no you have not brought peace! You have brought fear and distrust, hatred and pain, death and destruction. You have made this universe worse than they ever could have. So many children have died because of you!" A rush of air sliced across The Dark Masters face as Jameson yelled at him. A small trickle of blood seeped from The Dark Master's cheek as he grinned.

"All the children have died because of me? Your people are the ones who just killed so many of them. I may have killed a child here or there to make a point but you and your people have decimated so many more with this little attack of yours."

Looking around The Dark Master could tell he was getting into their heads. The ground around his legs was getting weaker with every passing moment and he knew it. "You all thought you would make such a good change and save so many lives. You just murdered the child of one of your friends possibly, or maybe the only son or daughter of a widow. You say I did such terrible things when in fact you just committed the same crime as me but feel justified."

"No, that is not true. This is all your fault." One of the other Trappers yelled, stepping a little too close to The Dark Master. He grabbed her by the neck and pulled her close. The fear in her eyes evident as a smile slowly crossed his face. Darkness began to envelop her as she screamed out in pain while the others stood there in terror. They were paralyzed with fear until The Dark Master lunged free of the ground.

"Did you really think something as simple as that would hold me? You are all weaklings compared to me. Now why don't you just die?" He slammed his hand against the ground and a wave of darkness thrust everyone onto their backs, knocking the air out of their lungs. The Dark Master looked around at the remaining eight Trappers and slowly began to walk over to Jameson. "You are the one leading all of this, aren't you? Well, you were the one leading all of this." He raised his hand, and a black orb began to form.

"I will not let you destroy this universe anymore. We have had it with you." Jameson said as he coughed up a bit of blood. He slammed his fist against the ground and spikes shot out of the ground impaling the dark master through the legs, arms, and chest. "This may not hold you for long, but it'll hold you long enough for us to bind you." A small cube appeared in Jameson's hands as he struggled to stand up. The Dark Masters eyes widened at that word and suddenly the air felt thick and heavy.

"You want to bind me in some cramped little cube?" The Dark Master ripped his arm free of the spike and sent another pulse at Jameson. However, he was ready and avoided the blast almost completely. The blast hit his right shoulder sending the cube spiraling away into one of the nearby fires.

"No!" Jameson yelled as the cube was engulfed in the flames. A look of despair fell over the others. Jameson stood there frozen for what seemed like forever and then looked at The Dark Master. "I'm sorry Kato, I tried to survive this for you. I guess I couldn't keep my promise. Everyone, we must do it." The others looked sad, but they began to move towards Jameson and The Dark Master.

"Do what? What do you think you are doing?!" The spikes further spread into his body to hold The Dark Master still.

"I am doing what you left me with no choice to do. I am sealing you within me. You will never see the light of day again no matter how much pain it causes me. You lose." The Trappers began chanting in Gemlichish and a ring of light surrounded Jameson and The Dark Master. The Dark Master struggled with all his might but it was futile. The spikes had already driven deeply into his arms and it would take more time than he had to break free from them.

"No, this can't be happening! I am The Master Nothing! You are all just puny insects compared to me!" The light began to shine brighter and brighter around them. The trappers began to connect their hands to one another and finally the last two on either side of Jameson grasped him, one on either side. The ring collapsed inwards towards Jameson pulling The Dark Master with it into him. A burst of power rippled through the camp as the ritual came to completion. Jameson collapsed on the ground as everything went dark.

Jameson awoke to find himself chained up in one of the magical holding cells within his own base. He smiled to himself as he remembered what they had accomplished. A shot of searing pain rippled through him as the symbol on his chest glowed bright red on his skin.

"You've been out for three weeks." an unrecognized voice said from the shadows. "I knew you would be waking up otherwise He would have gotten free. You know you can't hold him for long. Your powers and body are not compatible to his." The stranger stepped closer into the light and Jameson realized who it was.

It was one of the old government heads everyone had long thought dead. "The power he stole should not have been able to be controlled by one man, but he did it somehow and now you will be consumed by him eventually. However, his power cannot be taken. It has bonded with him and no one can change that. I have formed a new council, and we shall watch over the vessel, I thank you for your sacrifice." The man turned to leave as Jameson spoke.

"Wait, but was it a success? Is everything better than before?" The look of hope in Jameson's eyes reached out for the man searching for an answer.

"Yes. Things are getting better. Your mission was a success. I will be back with a new vessel when the time comes." The man walked out of the door and it shut behind him. Wards lit up throughout the cell and Jameson could feel his power being suppressed. His head began to slowly fall again as he slipped back into unconsciousness.

Outside the cell the world was moving forward and with it a family. The mother and father were immensely powerful Nothings of light and shadow at the other end of the universe where The Dark Master had not yet reached. They did not know of his demise yet and wouldn't for billions of years later. They opened a breach to another universe and brought through their family.

This ends the Prologue and the story begins in the next chapter. Thank you for reading this far so far. i do hope you have enjoyed this look into the past and look forward to the future. If you have an y comments or wuestions feel free to post them!
