5 THE PARTY

"So what did Alex say about coming to my party?" Mia asked. "He said maybe and he thought you weren't going to throw it." Summer laughed a little. Mia looked at Summer. She had a light brown hair color and her eyes were a grey hazel color. "I'm still throwing it because I've been planning this for weeks now." Mia smiled softly. "Oh okay." Summer said. They stopped talking and they started to write down notes again then after that class ended. Mia and Summer go to lunch and Mia gets a text from Alex. "You better eat something for lunch" He texted. "I will don't worry." Mia texted back. "Hey Mia I'm sorry for you lose." A girl said walk up to her and Summer. "Thanks Cindy." Mia smiles at her.

"Are you coming to practice after school?" Stacy asked. "Yeah of course I am." Mia is still smiling and sits down. "Coach Paula said you didn't have to because of what happened to Lizzie. Everyone knew how close you guys were." Stella said. "Can we not talk about that please." Mia said, getting a little upset. "Yeah sorry Mia." All the girls said sitting down. "So how do you know Alex?" Cindy asked. "He's just a family friend and we've known each other since theywere very little." Mia smiled. "So are you getting him to come to your party?" Cindy asked. "He said he might come." Mia sighed. "So are you and Alex more than friends?" Stella smirks and takes a sip of her drink.

"He's a friend." Mia said nervous and a little shocked they saw him kiss my cheek. "Does he have a girlfriend?" Cindy asked. "No." Mia sighs and takes a bite of food. "You should ask him out to your party." Cindy said. "He's rich and cute, you hit the jackpot Mia." Stella said smiling at me. "I guess." Mia shrugged her shoulders. "Just don't tell Melody because she is crushing on him." Cindy whispered. "Don't tell Melody what!?" A girl said behind Mia and Cindy. "That Mia invited Alex Morningstar to her party." Cindy said. "Yeah sure, I tried to invite him to my party last year and he said yeah but he never showed up so don't get your hopes up when he doesn't show up." Melody smirks and walks away.

"Why don't you tell Melody your friends with him?" Summer said. "Because then she will treat me differently." Mia sighs. "Oh okay." Summer said. Alex was at the place where people carved tombstones and he bought one for Liz. "So Mr. Morningstar what do you want the tombstone to say." The guy said behind the desk. "I want it to say Lizzie Roberts' loving friend and best friend to Mia Grace." Alex said writing it down. "That sounds nice and sweet." The guy said. "Yeah it is." Alex said looking up at him. "So Mr. Morningstar how long have you known Lizzie for?" The guy asked. "I don't know her like that. I met her the night before she died but my best friend Mia is her closest friend and Mia talked about her all the time so it makes me feel like I knew Lizzie for a long time." Alex shrugged.

"Oh wow." The guy said. "I need to tombstone Saturday at two-thirty pm." Alex said putting an address on a piece of paper. "Okay." The guy takes the paper. "Here I'll give you half the payment now and the rest Saturday." Alex hands him the money. "Thanks Mr. Morningstar." He said taking the money. "You're welcome and I should be thanking you." Alex said then he left. He gets on his motorcycle and goes and finishes the rest of the rest of his list of stuff to do. Then he goes to pick up Mia. Mia walks up to him. "Hey Alex this is Summer, Summer this is Alex." Mia smiles. "Hey Summer." Alex smiles and holds out his hand and looks at Summer. She had a light brown hair color and her eyes were a grey hazel color.

"It's finally nice to meet you Alex." Summer smiles. "Yeah it is. Nice to meet you too Summer" Alex smiled. "Hey Alex I'll meet you back at your place, me and Summer and the girls are going to go shopping." Mia said. "Here is some money." Alex hands Mia some money. "Alex I can't take this." Mia said. "Mia just take it please." He smiles. "Fine, thanks Alex." She takes the money and hugs him. "Your welcome, I will see you later." He hugs her. She smiles. "I'll see you later." Alex smiles and he gets on his bike and drives away. Mia smiles at Alex then I look at Summer. "Wow he is cute looking up close, but Mia I would never take him from you I'm into girls so don't worry." Summer smiles.

Alex laughed a little. "Let's go." Mia knew Summer would never do that to her anyway. "Come on girls were leaving." Cindy said getting in the car. "Okay." Mia smiles at Summer and gets in the car. They all go to the mall. They hang and pick their outfits and they hang out and they go back to our dorms and get ready. The time came Mia got her outfit on and they all got ready and did their makeup and hair. Mia was wearing a pair of ripped jeans and a red tank top with Nike shoes. Mia's shoes were red and a little bit of black."How do I look?" Summer said smiling. Summer was wearing a green shirt and a pair of shorts and a pair of Nike shoes. Her shoes were all black. "You look awesome Summer." Cindy said.

"Thanks Cindy you look good too." Summer smiles. Cindy was wearing a pair of shorts with a pink tank top and she was also wearing a pair of flip-flops they were all white. They walked out of the rooms and they got set up for the party. Alex gets out of the shower and puts on a black pair of pants and a grey shirt and he brushes his hair then brushes his teeth. He put on my shoes. "Hey Alex, you 're coming, the party has already started and I'm just wondering if you're still coming." Mia texted. "Yeah I'm still coming don't worry." He texted back and smiled. He puts his phone in his pocket and grabs his keys and goes to the party. Alex gets off his bike and walks up to the house.

He walks inside and goes and looks for Mia and the girls. "It looks like you need a drink." A voice said behind him. He turned around and saw a girl holding two beer bottles. "Melody?" He asked. "The one and only." She said. "I'm not in the mood, I'm looking for someone." Alex walked away and went into the kitchen. "Hey where are you?" Alex texted Mia. I'm out back." Mia texted back. He put his phone away and walked back. He sees Mia, Summer and some other girls putting their feet in the pool. "Hey ladies." Alex smiled and walked up to them. "H-hey Alex." A girl said. "Hey." Another said. "Alex come sit with us." Mia said. "I don't want to get wet." Alex said sitting next to Mia.

"Okay we won't get you wet." Summer said. "Good because I can't stay long because I have things to do tonight." Alex sighs. "Aww Alex please." Mia said, giving him the puppy dog eyes. "Mia that doesn't work on me." He looks at her. "Just stay, you won't have fun when you pick to stay with your mom or dad." Mia said. "Yeah true." Alex said. "Where are you leaving to?" Summer asked. "In a couple weeks I have to decide who I want to live with my mom or my dad." Alex was a little sad. "You're old enough to leave on your own." A girl said. "Yeah I know but I have to, it's complicated to explain but my mom wants me to run her business and my dad wants me to run his business." Alex said looking at the girls.

"Oh okay." The girl said. "I'm Stacy by the way." Stacy smiles. "I'm Cindy." She paused for a second "Why can't you run both of the businesses?" Cindy asked. "My dad's business is all the way in California L.A and my mom's business is all the way in Florida." Alex says but it was a lie and couldn't tell them the real reason. "Oh wow that's crazy." Summer said. "Yup." Alex nods. "Is that the reason you haven't asked Mia out because you're moving?" Summer asked. Alex looked at Summer and was surprised she said that. "I'm about to go get me a beer. Do you guys want one?" Alex asked and got up. "Sure." Mia said. "No thanks." Summer said. He goes and goes to get some beers.

"He likes you Mia, you need to tell him how you feel." Cindy said. "I can't. He looks at me like a little sister." Mia says a little sad. "Ouch family zoned." Stacy said. "Yup and I want him to stay but his parents keep pestering him about his decision and I don't want to bug him about his decision either." Mia sighs.
