Chapter 5, So Training was Important, To the Hero Alma Mater Part 2

     The Criminal raised his left hand. "GOODBYE WORM!!!" He yelled. Than began to swing his hand down. Aio thought as he closed his eyes. "This is it huh. NO!!! I CAN'T END IT LIKE THIS!!!!" "BOOM!!! Hey kid. Need a hand?" Said aren. Aio looks up. Neon (Aren Nelson) had grabbed the criminals hand before he could use his ability. The criminal stood in fear and shock then thought. "WHAT?! He came out of nowhere. One second he wasn't there. And in the next, he was. How did he get here so fast!!" "HEY!" Neon said in a deep, angered voice with his head looking down at aio. "What did you do to my pupil?" He said as he then glared up at the criminal with eyes that could kill. The criminal swung his right hand behind him. Then the snow under his feet moved him a couple arms length away from neon. And next to the ten foot tall Gorilla like creature. The creature than was about to charge. "No." Said the criminal sticking his arm out in front of the creature. "He's mine. I've always wanted to fight the number one Hero!!!!" "Avalanche." Says neon while the criminal is surprised. "Rank, F+. Aura level, bronze star." "How does he know me and my rank, as well as my aura level?" Thought avalanche. "What?! He's only a F+ Ranked Criminal?!! Thought aio. Then a memory came into aio's mind.

     Two weeks ago. "Aio." Says aren. "Do you know about the Heroes and Criminals ranking system?" "A little bit." Answers aio. "I know that the 'Heroes Ranking System' uses numbers to position the heroes into their rankings. And that the 'Criminal Ranking System' uses a letter Grading system instead." "That's right." Replies aren. "But did you know that there's a grading system for aura levels (power levels)?" "No." Answers aio while being a little curious. Aren continued. "There are ten different levels in aura rankings. These levels are compared to the strength of metal. There is Aluminum star, Copper star, Brass star, Bronze star, Iron star, Silver star, Gold star, Titanium star, Diamond star, and lastly Platinum Star. This information could save your life one day. Make sure to remember it." "I'll keep that in mind." Replied aio. Aio then came back to the present. Neon looked at the creature and continued. "Yeti. Rank, E+. Aura level, Iron star. You hurt my pupil. Don't expect any mercy from me." Said neon as he glared at them. "Let's take him together yeti." Said avalanche. "Aio." Said neon. "You still awake?" "Yeh." Answered aio still in pain. Neon continued. "Don't miss a single glimpse of what is about to happen. This is how you use the first layer." Yeti appears right behind neon. And swings his back hand at neon. "Bamm!!!" Smoke covered the whole area around them. "NEON!!!" Yelled aio. "Don't you remember who I am, aio?" Replies neon as the smoke clears around them. Revealing neon's hand holding yeti's fist as it burns. "ROARRRRRRRRRRR!!!!." "That won't work on me. I'm the number one Hero. COBAMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!" Neon smashes yeti's gut with his right fist. Then yeti's gut was burned and his mouth spewed out spit from the impact. And he then flew through the entire building and landed on the other side of the block. Avalanche becomes frozen with fear. Yeti then stands back up. "ROARRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!" Enraged, he than jumped high into the air. "Not done huh?" Said neon. Neon than jumped into the air. Yeti than put his hands together above his head. But when neon was within arms length. Neon grabbed his hands as yeti swung them downward.  Neon used the force of his swing to catapult his body behind yeti upside down. "CA,WAKK!! Boommmm!!!!!!!" Neon kicked yeti in the back. The force of the kick sent him straight into the ground as well as had yeti spew blood from his mouth. Making yeti unconscious. Neon than lands right above yeti. "Who's next?" Says neon to avalanche with a slight smile. "He's amazing." Thought aio. "He extended his first layer that was over his arm a couple of feet long. Which increased the power of his punch. And he also extended the first layer on his legs. Which also increased the force of his jump and kick." Avalanche than gasped in fear. "Ah. Spare me. I beg you!!!" In a flash. Neon dashed straight behind avalanche. Avalanche jolts in shock, falling to the ground. "What gives you the right to beg for anything." Said neon intensely as he got face to face with avalanche. "BOOMMMMM!!!" With one powerful punch to the ground. Avalanche was unconscious.

     Awhile later. Police and ambulances arrived at the scene. The area had caution tape all around it. Along with a blockade of police cars. A police detective, Swede Klark. Had just arrived on the scene. He had black  comed hair, white skin, a tan long jacket, had an average body build; and had brown eyes. He then walked to where neon and aio were. Aio was being transported by paramedics to the ambulances on a stretcher. Neon was beside him. As swede walked up to aio and neon. Neon then said to the paramedics. "Could you give us a couple minutes?" "Sure thing neon." Replies one of the paramedics. As soon as they walked away. Neon gets close to him. Then flicks his forehead with his finger. "Ouch!!" Yelled aio. "What was that for?" "YOU KNOW BLOODY WELL WHY I DID!!!" Answers neon while yelling. "You knew you weren't ready to fight criminals yet. And you still went to fight them all on your own." "Sorry." Replies aio while he looked away from neon. Neon sighs deeply. "You and I both know that's not true." Says neon. Aio didn't respond. Swede stood still while listening to the conversation. "Oh! How could I forget." Says neon. "Aio. Meet swede klark. He's one of my police ace partners. Aio then looked at swede curiously. "Aren't police aces just police detectives that work for ace heroes?" Asks aio. "That's right." Answers swede. Aio than thought. "I remember learning about ace detectives at school. In order for heroes to do their jobs quicker. The Government required ace heroes to have a team of police detectives to work for them. This way, heroes can focus on the next crime. Rather than having them stay on a crime scene to explain and give reports to the police. They have their ace detectives take care of it. By using a little device known as a memory receiver. The hero will send his memories of the crime to his ace detective. Then the ace detective can take care of the rest at the crime scene. It makes sense in a world where heroes are a real profession." "Thanks for taking care of everything swede." Said neon. "No problem. Your my friend for one. Two, it's my job." Replied swede while smiling. "Kid, you should listen to him." Swede said to aio. "If he hadn't been here, you would have either died or gone to prison." "What?!" Said aio in surprise. "You didn't tell him that?" Asked swede to neon. "I was going to tell him later." Answers neon. "But I guess now is as good a time as any. Humans with Gifted and Tainted abilities that haven't taken the Moral Regulation Code exam. Are not allowed to attack any kind of criminal with their abilities.

The only reason heroes can. Is because of the power given to them by the moral regulation code." "So even police can't use their gifted, tainted abilities?" Asked aio. "That's correct." Answers swede. "Well, I better get going, I'll talk to you all later." "Thanks swede." Replies aio. "Your welcome." Responds swede with a smile.

     A couple days later, back on the mountain. "Wow!" Says aio standing in front of aren. "I can't believe that I am practically healed already." "That's because of the Gifted healers in hospitals." Replied aren. "I thought people couldn't use they're abilities without taking the Moral Regulation Code exam." Replies aio confused. Aren explains. "There are exceptions to this rule. I said you can't attack any criminals with your ability." "But that doesn't mean that you can't use it for other things!" Says aio in realization. "Yes." Answers aren. "What else can people use they're ability for?" Asks aio. "It solely depends on what ability someone has." Answers aren. "For example, if you had the ability to control water. You could use that ability as a fire fighter. However, you first have to submit it to the work place up front. Then the business will send the application to the Government for a background check. And if you are approved. They will clear you and send you a business package on how to use your ability. Also they will give you special training lessons and a certificate when you are done." "Interesting" Thought aio. "I guess it would make sense. People would demand to use their abilities to make life better. So the government made strides for that to happen." Aio speaks out loud. "What would happen if someone broke this rule?" "They would immediately be arrested for it." Answers aren. "Wow!" Said aio a little shocked. "Pat." Aren patted aio with a huge smile. "Shall we move on?" Asks aren. "Yes please!" Answers aio while brushing away aren's hand. "So back to training?" "Yes." Answers aren. "But it's going to be a little bit different than before." "How so?" Asks aio puzzled. "Your going to work twice as hard for getting into trouble." Answers aren with an evil grin. "Wait!" Responds aio terrified. "Why don't we talk this over?" "No problem." Answers aren with a smile. "After today's training that is!" Aio jolts into a run while yelling. "HELP! HELP ME!!!" As aren runs after him with an evil laugh.

Time passes, and spring arrives. Aio stands in front of the Chevaliers Alma Mater for Heroes. As Neon (Aren Nelson) stands beside him. "You ready?" Asks neon. "Ya, let's go." Answers aio.
