I slowly opened my eyes, rays of light gently enveloped my body, at the same time a cold breeze wrapped around my body. I shivered, I started circulating Aura throughout my body, or rather it should've have circulated throughout my body but nothing actually happened. I looked around to see if I had been restrained, I looked at my hand. And it had... shrunk?

I looked down and saw that I was on a bed, it was extremely comfortable. I actually couldn't remember the last time I had slept in a bed, tears nearly fell down my face because of the comfort I was granted. The bed was simple, a white mattress, white pillows and a white blanket. By the looks of it, the bed was fairly cheap but I wasn't going to complain.

I sighed and decided to get up, I looked around, the room was plain, there was almost nothing in it and the room was entirely white. I looked at my clothes, they were white pijamas, they were rather thin and seemed to be of fairly low quality. There was a mirror on the other side of the room, and when I looked I saw a boy with white hair and crimson eyes. He had rather adorable features, but his body was frail and looked to be malnourished. He could probably pass of as a model or child actor if you disregarded how malnourished and skinny he was.

I reached for my face and realised that I was that white haired boy?

'What? How? Is this... me?'

Then, I felt a huge pain in my head, it was like a thousand needles were stabbing into my head, however I didn't budge from where I was. An influx of information flowed into my mind, my eyes widened slightly before a small smile formed on my face.

I've reincarnated, and into the world of 'that' book. And I've reincarnated as, Valier Pendragon, the adopted child of the Pendragon Archduchy. Valier was actually a rather unimportant character, but he was a villain.

His life story was rather short, he was adopted into the Pendragon family. Why? Because he was the child of the Archduke's concubine, but he wasn't the Archduke's real child. Valier's mother was forced into becoming a concubine and she once attempted to run away with her lover, unfortunately they were both hunted down and killed. But Valier survived, his birth was rather gruesome as he was literally born out of his dead mother. The Archduke supposedly felt pity for him and adopted him, but In reality it was so that Valier couldn't tell the world of the Archduke's sins. The Archduke's wife and child weren't told of how he killed Valier's parents nor his true motives for killing them, they always believed that the Archduke's concubine was going to leak key information to opposing nations and famikies. Well, the story they were told wasn't expanded upon but it was probably something along those lines.

The Archduke did all this to make sure his wife and two children didn't think bad of him, he also kept Valier alive so he didn't seem like complete scum to the knights, maids and his family.

Valier was abused by some of the maids, they used him as an outlet for their stress and beat him fairly often and only fed him when he was on the brink of death. The Archduke died at some point leaving his two daughters and wife alone, the two daughters were actually heroines/love interests. They didn't abuse him, they did however ignore him. At some point In his teens he disappeared and came back as a villain, it turned out that Valier possessed the blood of a demon. And the protagonist and the harem killed him and then they moved on to the next villain.

'I can't remember every memory of Valier, nor can I remember every memory of my past life. So, just who, or what am I?'

I placed my hand on my chin and thought about it, who was I? Valier with someone else's memories, or was I a reincarnate?

After a bit of thinking, I thought that it was likely for me to be a reincarnate. It was because of how I only had access to a small portion of Valier's memories. If I had been the original Valier I'd likely have Valier's memories intact since I'd still be in the same body. And on top of that, this body didn't feel like my own, it felt like I was stuck in it. My description probably won't make much sense to you since you're not in my position so it's hard for me to explain what's going on.

I started stretching, trying to get a feel for this body's size, weight and flexibility. It was really uncomfortable moving around in this body, it was as if I was wearing high heels of different length on each foot and at the same time having weights of different masses on each limb. In short, I was extremely disorientated.

I then took off my top and trousers, I took a look at my body, my eye brows raised slightly. I had many scars all over my body, some big and some small, I also had some bruises, they looked to be rather fresh. The scars were on quite a few parts of my body, my arms, legs, back etc.

I heard some footsteps and quickly got dressed, then a maid abruptly came in, she had what looked to be bottle of water in her hand and threw it at me. I tried to dodge, but my body froze up, the bottle hit me square in the face. The bottle fell on the floor and made sound that reverberated across the room. I looked down at the bottle, it was a metal one, I think they're called hydroflasks.

The maid also had a tray in her other hand, she set it down on the floor, there was a bowl on the tray and it was filled with... something? I noticed that there wasn't any cutlery on the tray, I looked at the maid.

"Don't come out of your room today, the young ladies and Her Grace are currently in mourning as His Grace passed away yesterday. Don't cause any more trouble than you already do."

I subconsciously nodded, blood dripped from my nose as I looked own at the ground. The maid left as abruptly as she came in.

'Trauma. That was what made me freeze up, the trauma was so bad that I couldn't even react? It's as if the fear has been completely etched into his body. Well I suppose it's not all bad that I didn't kill that bitch, at least I won't be too suspicious this way.'
