16 Chapter 16

I headed outside to a white limousine, my father was in a separate car. This was due to me having my own target, while he was to take down the head of the Aries House. I was to slay that child, I was going to be accompanied by three knights.

I looked up to the sky, the moon was shining beautifully, I had a good feeling about today. After dawdling for a few seconds I entered the car.

The knights were all sat opposite me, the guard furthest to my left had long black hair and green eyes, he was fairly good looking but not amazingly so. The man in the middle had a scar over his left eye along with brown hair and eyes, he gave off a powerful feeling. The knight to the right of me was a woman, she seemed to be fairly young.

She seemed stronger than the other two, but not hugely so. She had plain black hair and fairly pretty blue eyes, judging by her build she was likely weaker than the other two physically. She was likely someone who was either a long range type or a speed type, or maybe a mix of both.

They were each at Mana Class five, making them a lot stronger than I was. They were here to handle anyone who was too strong for me, it was nice being this valuable to someone. I was used as a nameless tool in the past.

Being protected like this made me feel, human.

But that wasn't important for the mission ahead, we were driven to Aries' territory within an hour. We were to strike swiftly under the cover of the moon.

We were dropped off at the east wing of their mansion, the guards had all been moved to the North end to fight in the war. However there would likely be a pair of guards defending the children. My knights each wore black armour to make them stand out to me, it was so that I knew they were under my direct command and to differentiate them from other soldiers.

The scarred knight stepped forward and looked at me.

"May I?"

I understood his intentions and nodded my head, the knight dashed forth at a speed that I could not perceive and simply swung his hand. The air pressure shattered the wall while leaving cracks that reached farther than I could actually see.

'What the fuck? Just who the hell is he? And he was even holding back? Like seriously-'

I maid sure to make myself look calm to seem like a more competent leader. The black haired knight smiled softly and the scarred knight smiled from ear to ear, seemingly impressed by my composure.

The female knight raised her eye brows, seemingly expecting a different reaction.

A knight in black clothing jumped out from the window above, he was wearing fairly light armour. The ground behind us erputed and the earth cracked, two more knights had appeared behind us, they were wearing more robust metal armour. The knight who had jumped from the ceiling swung his arms and called forth blades of wind.

The scarred knight drew a great-sword from a Dimensional Ring and struck the air, the air pressure from his blow neutralised the wind wielding knight.

"Leave that one to me, you three can feel free to fight the other two. Keep the stronger one alive, I will interrogate him."

I flicked my wrist upwards and a spike made of darkness came forth. I siphoned Mana from my core and circulated it throughout my body, strengthening myself. The knight easily dodged my spike, he kept jumping around, making barriers made of wind to dash around the place.

His speed was faster than the human eye, but I could keep up. He was at class seven, which meant he was within my capabilities to kill. I kicked the ground, making cracks in the earth and kicking dust up. The man didn't seemed to fazed and kept bouncing around from one barrier to another.

He found an 'opening' and charged forth, I raised my leg and kicked it upwards, dispersing the dust could I had created earlier. The knight ignored the dust cloud, obviously that much wouldn't be close to enough to stop him.

But it slowed him down, just enough.

I snapped my finger and spikes made of darkness sprouted from under me. They weren't there to attack him but close his path of escape.

He understood this and shrouded his arms in wind and put them in an X shape, he planned on charging straight through me. His plan was to destroy my body even if he was harmed, his attack was strong enough to kill me but I wasn't dumb enough enough get hit.

With that, I created a spear from nothingness, the spear pierced pierced the man's heart and killed him instantly, the wind attribute Mana dissipated into nothingness.

A/N: As usual, a reference is in the comments. Just remember tgat the reference is only for the shape not the colour scheme.

'Gungnir' a spear named after the spear that the chief God of the Norse wielded. The spear was a fairly long, like all my other weapons it was black and gold. The spear had a spiral type design for its shaft, the blade was thinner than most spears but it was fairly long.

I turned around and saw that the other two knights had their arms and legs facing impossible directions.

"We've handled the interrogation young master, apparently the young master of the Aries is in the building. There are four more knights guarding him, each are at least at Mana Class six."

I looked at the two knights, they had left them alive as per my instructions. It seemed like they had taken care of the torture so I wouldn't have to bear that burden, what nice people.

"Two of you can go and handle the four knights, one of you stay here to protect me while I regain my stamina."

The female knight and the long haired knight nodded and dissapeared, they had left the scarred knight behind to protect me. He was built like a tank so I could see why.

"Young master, forgive me if I'm being insolent but, you should let yourself cry after this."

"What? Why would I want to cry?"

"Well, in this situation, most children would cry or something along those lines. I myself have children, and they would most certainly be trembling in fear in this situation or feel guilt for what's to come."

He spoke bluntly towards me, not many knights would do that. I wasn't going to punish him for how he spoke, he was attempting to protect me in his own way. Or maybe he was trying to console me? Well either way he was trying to be nice to me it didn't really matter.

"Don't worry, I'm pretty used to this kind of thing."

I responded with something that would put the man at ease. I wasn't that good at genuine interactions like this, but I'm sure this would make sure the knight that he needn't worry about me.

A/N: If some ppl don't get why the mc is being a bit of a dumb ass, it's coz he wasn't ever in the real world and didn't have an actual social life so he doesn't understand what is and isn't a good way to ease a person's worries.

The two knights from earlier came back after leaping off the window that the enemy knight did earlier on. They had blood splattered on them, the fight up there was probably closer to a massacre. But that was irrelevant, for it was now my time to shine for lack of a better phrase.
