Chapter 15

A/N: I changed his bows name from Noctem to Dainslef because Noctem didn't sound right to me

I woke up in my bed, again.

'AGAIN? If I see this bed one more fucking time I'm going to blow it. Why do I always pass out? How fucking hard could this training possibly be on my body?'

I sighed, there was no use in moaning on how irritating this infantile body was. I looked at the time, it was already 10:00pm. I looked at my clothes and hands, my hands were their normal milky white while I was dressed in some night wear.

'I suppose it's bed time huh?'

I looked to my side and saw Anastasia who was reading a book. She looked at me and dropped her book immediately, she then pulled me in for a tight hug.

"Young master~, you've not been talking to me for so long. You've not asked for a lap pillow in quite a while, do you not like me anymore?"

She tugged at my cheeks and pouted, was she jealous? Lonely? Horny? I had seduced women and killed them once they had passed out in missions before but I wasn't used to that kind of face. I sighed inwardly, if I wanted to seem at least somewhat similar to the original Reinhardt I'd probably have to play along with this.

"Uh-, I-i wasn't sure if it was okay to ask for a lap pillow. I wanted to seem stronger but I'm not sure if it's working very well."

"Why would you want to be stronger?"

"B-because I-i heard that I wasn't a very good child and that I was a tyrant, so I wanted to seem like a b-better person."

Reinhardt was a bit of a tyrant, he would just flaunt around his position and never back it up. This eventually led to his downfall in some story lines, in these story lines his parents somehow died which fucked him up. But no matter the storyline or the route, he was always a bit of a jerk as a child and it usually stopped when he met Angelica. This was because he learned that he wasn't at the very top of the world, he was forced to understand just how weak he was and how pitiful his talent was.

Armed with this knowledge, I was going to use 'my' past as an excuse as to why I was trying to grow.

Anastasia smiled from ear to ear and got onto the bed, she sat down on her knees. She stretched her arms out and beckoned me to her lap, I followed her lead and layed my head down on her thighs.

'W-what the fuck am I doing?-'

Anastasia started gently stroking my hair, it was comforting. My eye lids started feeling heavy and I fell asleep.

***

The next few weeks were filled training, I kept training till I passed out. Of course I kept studying, I learned of the history of this world as well how mana worked. Mana was everywhere and everyone had the potential to use it. However the general poulace had rather limited talent and couldn't get past Mana Class 8 most of the time.

Mana was not generated but absorbed and purified with the Mana core, the why your capacity increased when you increased your Mana Class was because you got rid of impurities and there was more room to house Mana within the core and the process of purifying Mana became more efficient.

The jump between mana classes grew with each class. Meaning the difference between class 9 and class 8 wasn't too big while the difference between class 1 and 2 was like comparing the accumulative mass of a desert to a single granule of sand.

While that may be an exaggeration it gets the point across.

Today was the day of the assault, we had prepared over a thousand knights at Mana Class 7 or higher. The numbers were relatively low but each one of these guys were strong, stronger than I was. Well, I could probably fight the ones who weren't too far into class 7 due to my bloodline ability and overall experience. But anyone who was decently through Mana Class 7 would be a very difficult fight due to my lack of experience with Mana.

If I can get as much understanding with Mana as I did with Aura. I'm confident that I'd be able to beat people who are of a higher Mana Class, however if the person is two or more ranks higher I'll lose.

I was dressed in a white pair of trousers and was wearing a white shirt embroidered with real gold with my top button undone.

The reason as to why I wasn't wearing any armour was because it would just get in the way. Different weapons required different movements, a single armour would never be able to facilitate the weapons for all the weapons I may wish to use. The clothes I was wearing were made of a high quality fibre that could stretch, they could also remove stains, not that I was particularly stressed about my appearance on the battlefield, it was still nice to have.

Normally a noble would carry their weapons in a Dimensional Ring, they could store things in them. I didn't need one because I could just make weapons. Dimension Rings were something that came affected space, there were items in this world that could repair themselves and change their structure on a molecular level.

These were called relics, relics cannot be made. Relics were made by ancient beings, but even I don't know who made them. The reason why we can't make things like dimension rings is simple, there is no human that can alter space. Spacial magic simply does not exist, of course there are movement abilities that can make it seem like you're teleporting but they are not the same.

For example, dark magic users like myself can use the derivative attribute of shadow magic. Once I started training with that I'd be able to jump from shadow to shadow, it may look like teleportation but at best it would just be high speed movement. The number of shadow magic users who can use this is extremely limited, but something told me that I'd be able to do it.

The same goes for temporal magic, magic that affects time does not exist. The same goes for other such things like controlling fate and other such concepts.

I mentioned derivative magic earlier on, it is just that. A magical attribute which derives from one's original attribute, it requires a deep understanding of one's own attribute and the attribute they wish to use. And you wouldn't be able to derive something like ice magic from fire, the elements must be similar in nature or be loosely related.

It requires a certain degree of talent, although derivative magic can indeed be achieved with time. Time wasn't that limited a thing in this world, people could live for hundreds of years. Even commoners could live for ages, though not as long as someone who uses Mana.

Most commoners could use Mana and to a limited extent, of course they had a core, but they weren't adept with it due to not training it or just having limited talent like I've mentioned earlier.

With all the training I've done, I'm confident that I've got a fair understanding on the sword techniques in this world. They vary far more than on my old world due to attributes being a thing, it was a bit boring to copy them just by looking because I found the sword styles a bit bland.

It was easy enough to do though, I had already learned the imperial Swordsmanship style. Of course I had learned the Avalon Swordsmanship style to a good extent. I hadn't manifested the techniques yet, apparently the Mana was supposed to tell me or some shit.

I wasn't too sure on how it worked. Then, Anastasia entered the room and told me to head downstairs, the time for battle had come.

Our purpose was a simple one, it was simply to destroy.
