1 Mother's Beloved Daughter

A beautiful middle aged woman laid on hospital bad as she closed her green-emerald eyes in exhaustion. Suddenly, a nurse walked towards her with a little crying baby in her arms.

"Congratulation Miss Hui, your daughter is healthy and safe, you don't have to worry anymore about her safety and comfort her a bit, she didn't meet you once. She is probably missing her mother," the nurse carefully held the baby in her embrace as she then passed the baby to Hui Shuang. "Thank you, Nurse Lan," Hui Shuang weakly smiled.,

After the nurse went, Hui Shuang looked at the baby, who was crying before but when she looked at her mother, she unknowingly calmed down and only started at Hui Shuang's face. Hui Shuang's emerald eyes widened as her face turned pale and her body began to tremble in fright.

"She….has her father's eyes….those same purple eyes…..with a tinge of red.

How is that possible?!

He said…..he said…..that my daughter won't be like them

….That she will be….safe....

But now with these eyes…..even if they just look at her….they will know she is our daughter….." Clenching her fist tightly, Hui Shuang gritted her teethes.

Finally she broke down in to tears she looked at the face of her daughter, who looked like the mixture of her husband and her. "…sob…sob….oh my beloved daughter, what if they know you are our daughter? Mother is here! Your Mommy is here, she will protect you even if it costs her life."

Hui Shuang knew that all her life she had been a coward, but her cowardness was what caused her to survive till today, otherwise if she been bold like the others, she would probably be dead by now.

Feeling a cold stare from behind, Hui Shuang's palms sweated as she took long deep breaths to stabilise herself and the little baby sensing her mother's fear, reached out to touch her mother's cheek. "Honey, you don't have a name yet why not give you the name Hui after my surname and Yin from your father's name, from now on my dear child, your name will be Hui Ying.

And even if your father is not here accompany you, he will always look over you and mother will try her…best to love you and provide you properly."

Soon after little Hui Ying fell asleep and now once again Hui Shuang felt that cold stare on her back, and then Hui Shuang didn't know where that massive courage came from but she turned her head around only to see a white masked man with snake scales on it looking at her with cold eyes. When he saw that she looked at him, he tilted his head to directly face and gave crooked smile.

She couldn't see it.

But she was able to feel it, she knew who he was and how dangerous he was.

But for now she could only act like nothing happened.

She could only act clueless like coward and face of her biggest fears like this.

Hui Shuang forced a smile on her face and slowly got of the hospital bed with her new-born daughter in her embrace. She tightly hugged her daughter and called Nurse Lan back.

"Nurse Lan, something came up today at my home so…..I have to go really quickly and I am also taking my daughter today as well. As for the information papers I have to fill in you can just use the old information," Hui Shuang smoothly lied as she looked staright into Nurse Lan's eyes.

Nurse Lan helplessly sighed at the mother and daughter duo, "Miss Hui, since you are hurrying again, before going at least tell me the little one's name." Hui Shuang's stiffened but still answered as her voice was filled with love at the mention of her daughter's name, "Her name is…..Hui Ying."

But before Nurse Lan could comment anymore, Hui Shuang hurriedly ran to her car.

Though it was rude, Hui Shuang couldn't care any less, she just wants to protect her daughter and get away as far as she could from them.

Looking at the rushing Hui Shuang who was running like someone was chasing behind her, Nurse Lan muttered, "What a strange person…."

Hui Shuang went back to her car as little Hui Ying continued to sleep in peace. Just as she was about to get in the car, she saw a note with bunch of beautiful words written on it, those words were written with grace and as if it was written with pure black ink and ancient jade brush, the words were extremely captivating.

However, Hui Shuang didn't had the time to appreciate the writing as what the words meant nearly broke her into a cold sweat but she composed herself and snatched the note.

'You can never can escape neither can your daughter just like him.'

It read.

Hui Shuang's emerald eyes burned it such a hatred that even sleeping Hui Ying was startled as she innocently looked at her Mommy with teary eyes. Hui Shuang looked into her daughter's eyes as she weakly smiled, "I am going insane….I truly am..."
