55 Diary 55: The Chaos Triggers
Kim Min Soo is a tough one, he won't back down from a fight even if it kills him. His persistence comes from his hardship from the toxicity of his parents. He was trained like a dog on a leash, expected to be an honor student from the get-go. The man is a tough nut to cracks, but he's not exactly a fighter type himself.
He would choose to stay passive and hidden until he has enough power and influence to overthrow his parent's domination over him. However, he's afraid of letting anyone around his peers know what's inside his mind. The Idol has always been secretive and put a facade in front of everyone.
Except for perhaps, Tae Min who knows a bit of him since they spend most of their time together intimately. Like right now, he's being pressured by Aphrodite to spill his beans. His mother's expression turns grim the moment Min Soo makes his stand, all of the sudden the illusion somewhat glitches out.
Aphrodite shows up out of nowhere, appearing instantaneously from a wall; She smiles upon Mon Soo when she looks at Min Soo's annoyed expression.
"You're one interesting person Min Soo, you can see through my Mental Prison Illusion" Aphrodite admits openly. "You're either genius, or you're just that desperate in wanting your mother to suffer a painful death".
Min Soo doesn't answer her provokes, instead he asks the Goddess about what she's instigating by torturing him. He asks quite nicely, for a person who almost kills his mother that is. Perhaps, she had other ulterior motives to corner him, a sudden reason why suddenly Aphrodite wants to kill him.
"You're endangering this world Min Soo, I want you to begone" Aphrodite lifts his chin. "You're a nuisance to the Gods-".
"For what reason am I a nuisance exactly?" Min Soo growls at Aphrodite. "Your whole reasoning doesn't make any sense! I just want a peaceful stroll! Peaceful night! I'm not asking anything!".
Min Soo's sorrow sounds genuine, with the fact that the man himself had a stressful day as an Idol and an urge to hurt himself due to him holding back his emotions, the pink-haired boy feels like living in Sanctus Luminera along with David has helped him tremendously in healing his past wounds.
He is no longer infested with deep-seethed grudges nor perfectionism for achievement like he used to. The man can chill and relax the peaceful life with his companions, and mostly David King. The explorer changes his life and brings colors to his colorless world. Surely, he's still doubting whether David loves him authentically or artificially.
But Min Soo knows that his strong feelings for David are authentic, he wants to be with him all the time. He's starting to forget his responsibility as an Idol in Seoul. His mind circling David King, the mysterious explorer who saved him from his misery. Seeing the honesty in Min Soo's eyes, Aphrodite is moved.
She's a sucker for romance stories, including this one love story. The Goddess has always been weak with the puppy-eye of a young man in love. It brings her to tears when she sees how desperate Min Soo is to find inner peace, a place where belongs to without feeling distracted and humiliated.
Aphrodite knows his past pretty well, which is why she chose the poor man to be Her warrior. Min Soo wants to be loved for what he is, sometimes his desires to be loved and accepted leak out from his facade.
Leaving his mask behind, he would always bury himself under the blanket while holding all the uncomfortable emotions he caged in his chest.
His mother's lesson forces him to lock away his emotions and feelings, making him numb from top to bottom. Hence why Aphrodite pities the charming young man, he needs a better environment; a better situation.
"So why is that you're trying to ruin my happiness?" Min Soo's gazes darkened as he walks closer to the Goddess, his bronze orbs doesn't shine. Like the eyes of a dead fish, husky and hollow. "Have I ever done something wrong to you? What did I do? Why is it that you're being mean to me!?".
Min Soo forcefully pushes the shaken Aphrodite to the floor, pinning the blonde-haired female on the wooden surface; She was befuddled and taken back by the sudden force he did. It was at that time that Aphrodite sees the desperate looks on Min Soo's eyes, his empty eyes, and the lifeless state he's in.
Such person is capable of destroying Sanctus Luminera? Sounds like a far-fetched lie. The man only wants to be loved and love in a peaceful and quiet environment. He might be a sly fox, a person who holds grudges, but he's a pacifist more or less. Even when he's stuck with his mother, he chooses to be a pacifist to reach his goal.
The Goddess cannot believe the fact that the love-hungry man before him will be the cause of chaos. Rather, he's just a lonely man that wants to find someone he can love. Unless there's another factor; something that triggers him to destroy the world he loves.
"Min Soo, I apologize for what I've done" Aphrodite whispers to him in low voice. "I understand what you want, I will cancel my Mental Prison Magic".
In a blink of an eye, the entire room flashes in white; the Goddess is nowhere to be seen.

David who has been beaten up by the Goddess wakes up due to the sudden light that shows up from the Idol's body. There, he sees the Goddess come out to her senses; not zoning out. He thought Aphrodite would smirk and set grin evilly. On the contrary, her evil smiles fade off; replaced with a frown.
She cast a water spell that regenerates the Idol's health and injuries, afterward she walks toward David who just woke up from his slumber. Kneeling in front of David, the explorer prepares himself in case he gets beaten up again to a pulp. However, the only thing she shows is a concern.
"You will be having lots of things on your plates" She sighs. "Knowing that he's latched into you like a glue, maybe you will be the key to stop the terrible chaos to ever happen".
"Huh?" David tilts his head, puzzled.
"In any case, take care of him David King" She walks off. "I will be watching the two of you, whether you can change the impending doom that soon falls onto the mortal realm". Later on, she mysteriously vanishes as the pink light engulfs her body, teleporting her somewhere else.
"What does she mean?" David questions himself as he tries to stand up, trying to balance his heavily injured body to reach the slumbering Min Soo. "Anyway, I need to snap some senses at Crow and carry Kim Min Soo to safety".
