44 Diary 44: The Darkness Looms

Min Soo tells David about the revelations that he learned from The Goddess while he's out; David nods calmly as he listens to Min Soo's explanation. Crow who is in the vicinity also listens to Min Soo's claims. It appears that Min Soo's charm had a passive reaction to his surrounding depends on his current feelings and emotions.

Hormones and pheromones are mostly the main issues when it comes to controlling his charm ability as a whole. Min Soo wants to say the reason for his charm affects the merchant, but Crow just happens to be there. He's embarrassed to say that the reason was their makeout session and the fact his lingering lust still resides within him afterward.

Thus the aftereffect was the merchant wallowing his desire; it gets stronger the more Min Soo remembers his time with David. His wavering affection and desire for David pushes the charm of his limit and affecting the merchant who is vulnerable to the power of lust. Min Soo decides to whispers it to David so that Crow won't hear.

Surely, this irritates Crow a little but David shushes him from making any ruckus. Nodding while Min Soo explains the details tenderly by whispering, David seems to be fascinated by the new info he received.

"So it was because we almost had se-".

"Not so loud!" Min Soo covers David's mouth. "In any case, the key for my charm ability is my hormones and pheromones; it has something to do with my psychological state".

David stands up from his seat, fascinated by Min Soo's power he decides it's a good idea to hug him in front of Crow who is flabbergasted behind them. The cold man Crow breaks his facade when he sees his best friend hugging a man out of nowhere, moreover a person he just knew Kim Min Soo.

"Did you just hug him?" Crow asks befuddled.

David nods with no hesitation in his eyes, he's serious. Kim Min Soo knows this is bound to happen sooner or later, the Idol tries to make up a lie so that he won't know of his current relationship with David King. However, before he can make up an excuse; Crow sighs as he walks away from the room.

Glancing at the two from the doorstep he says something that shocks David.

"Well, I don't know what's the deal between the two of you" Crow growls. "But David, don't forget our mission".

The moment Crow said that David let go of his hug from Min Soo. His gazes sharpened and he walks away from Min Soo, he follows Crow's whilst telling Min Soo to take a rest. Surely, this arouses the pink-haired man's suspicion of what just happened.

The two of them had a secret that Min Soo doesn't know; somehow that only makes things more complicated than before.

*  *  *

Min Soo spends his time resting on the bed, his leaking charm seems to affect his fatigue. Evening comes and there's no sign of the suspicious two gentlemen around the inn premises. The Idol looks through the window, Arkhansas City is as lively as ever. The building and the lighting in the city liven the crowded streets.

Feeling a bit freshened up from his rest, Min Soo decides to take a stroll around the newfound City they visited. Going down the stairs of the old inn, the innkeeper smiles peacefully at him before Min Soo steps out from the inn. Min Soo exits the inn, a small smile plastered on the Idol's face.

Strolling through the new city, Min Soo meets seas of humans around him. The tall building around him and the ruckus in the City makes him aware that he's in a big city. Min Soo smiles toward the people who greet him. As he strolls through the bustling city, he hears a shopkeeper gossiping with a housewife.

"Did you hear the news about the movement from the rebels?" the housewife asks the shopkeeper. "The Nightwalker has made their moves".

Min Soo eavesdropped for a bit since the topic seems to be interesting, he pretends by browsing through the shopkeeper merchandise silently. The two of them are talking about rebels in the City of Arkhansas. They're called Nightwalker, the rebels that are also a hidden organization that works as a mercenary group to fund their operation.

"The Nightwalker is planning to overthrow the government, aren't they?" the shopkeeper sighs. "I'm quite worried that this City will be a battlefield one day since this is the capital".

Min Soo never heard of the name Nightwalker, but it seems to be an important organization that brings chaos to the government. The chaos they bring to the government is unparalleled, the rumors said this organization moves once the clock hits midnight to make their marks on the government as rebels.

"Say what exactly are they fighting for anyway?" the female shopkeeper asks the housewife. "Is it because of the recent depleted funds to protect the civilians? I heard that the corruption is strong but I have no idea".

Even in this world, corruption still goes strong; Min Soo keeps this in mind as he pretends to browse the vegetables and fruits silently.

"It is true! Especially, the Illuminae executives have been acting suspicious! They've been passive in regards to the attack of the demons! Didn't the demons attack that famous Fashion City, Arachnosia!?".

"Oh, but wasn't that incident resolved by sir David?" the shopkeeper replies enthusiastically. "That man is the epitome of perfection I tell you, Illuminae is nothing but a waste of an organization".

'David is popular everywhere and the women seem to fantasize him a lot' is what in Min Soo's mind as he eavesdropped on the bantering women next to him. From what he can understand, the Nightwalker organization seems to be a group of vigilantes going against the government's unfairness.

"But wasn't Sir David used to be a part of Illuminae?" the shopkeeper asks the chattering housewife.

"Ah, rumors say he quitted out of the blue" the housewife frowns. "Such a handsome young man leaving the Knights Association! No more eye candy!".

"He quitted?" Min Soo's curiosity is piqued once he hears the news about David, he never told him about his past; not even in full detail.

Perhaps, this is the time for him to silently investigates who Sir David King is
