19 Diary 19: The Explorer Prince

David is convinced that the demons are hot on their trail, Min Soo is uncertain with the sense of urgency David had but the man's face is completely horrified. Min Soo who is not used to running a lot, his legs start to waver to the constant running.

David tells him afterward that they have to keep going since the one David killed earlier was only the child version of the demons.

The younglings would summon the adult demons whenever they're in danger, thus they're bad news. Min Soo asks why can't David just leave the younglings alone then, but the man persists that he needs to be killed. Demons are always hungry, their hunger is insatiable and they eat anything that moves except for their kind and monsters.

As expected, a sound of screeching could be heard from a distance; it appears to be the sound of the adult demons who found their youngling decapitated by David's sword. David tells Min-Soo to cast an invisibility spell, which the mage is confused about. The mage shakes his head, the K-pop Idol is bewildered by the sudden command.

"Aquos user is a magic user that can reflect one's reflection! It's the rules of the Aquos elements, the basic of the Aquos user" David explains. "That's why, please cast a spell of invisibility!".

Min Soo summons his grimoire using the shortcut spell, as the grimoire floats under his palm he flips the pages manually in a rush. The key is to find an invisibility spell that hides them from the enemies; after he flips to the fifty-page he finally finds the spell. Entry number thousand, the cloak of Aquos.

"Reflect my surrounding please!" Min Soo adds in a hurry.

However, after he spouts that word out of nowhere; a water veil formed on their body. Covering their body, the water veil covers the entirety of their body in an invisibility cloak. Behind them, two demons approached; their size is the same as an adult human. While the water veil is in the process of enveloping the entirety of their body.

When water veils cover them, the scary demons who chase after them seem to be under stress. Their glowing crimson eyes trace Min Soo and David traces, a good thing that their huge claws won't be planted on someone else's body this time. The two gentlemen escape safely; David advises Min Soo to stay passive until backup comes.

The blonde-haired explorer is planning to contact the Union in regards to the sudden appearance of the demons. Even though there are only two of them, still leaving them wandering around would pose a danger to others. However, David is certain that the Union will be able to hunt the demons down.

When the demons disappear from their sight, the two gentlemen slow their walking pace. Still, David expresses his concern with the sudden appearance of demons in the Nadhmill area. The young man believes that Nadhmill might be contaminated by these demonic creatures, nevertheless, the Knights Association never made any move regardless of the threat.

"Knights Association?" Min Soo asks the knowledgeable explorer.

"That's right, although they were known as the Illinois Knights, they're guards working directly under the government" David sighs. "I have no idea what those fools working on, Nightsbane Union is merely a private company! Surely those idiots can do better".

Somehow the way David's speech, he seems to has some distaste toward Illinois Knights Order. He bits the bottom of his lips irritatingly as he leads the way, while the Idol follows him behind closely. The atmosphere around the Nadhmill area is still dark and unpleasant, there's no sign of any living creatures; as if the place is cursed.

Joey's relic must be in the Nadhmill City Ruins, the place where an enormous tycoon hits the city. As they press forward, the air is dreary and the smell of death is everywhere. Considering the small wages Min Soo will receive; the Idol starts to retrace whether what he did was a good decision.

However, David accompanies him despite his choices; that fact alone already made Min Soo's heart pound in excitement and gratitude. There was something else that resides in his heart, but the Idol has yet to know what is it that he feels toward David. The only thing that crosses his mind is his feelings of admiration.

"That's probably it" Min Soo convinces himself in his head.

The sights of ruins are nearby, the two have walked quite a lot. Since they're too focused on avoiding the demons, Min Soo's legs wobble a bit as he fumbles on the ground. David turns around only to see Min Soo sighs as he slumps on the ground.

"I'm sorry, my legs feel weird" Min Soo grumbles.

His legs won't listen to him, his strength plummeted down when they lost the terrifying demons. David lowers his back, kneeling on the ground as he stares at Min Soo. His navy eyes diving into Min Soo's bronze eyes; the man offers his bag to the exhausted Min Soo. His words didn't falter and he's sincere in helping the fatigue young man.

"We're almost there, so bear with me Min Soo" David adds. "Perhaps, it is my fault for instigating to walk by foot; I just want you to know that exploration is no small feat".

"No small feat?" Min Soo asks.

"Well, you need to get used to walking by foot despite the availability of magical devices and spells; this is to make you used to any state of urgency that made you unable to use your magic or shortcuts" David explains his reasoning. "Since you're a beginner, your fatigue is self-explanatory".

Without waiting for Min Soo's approval, the young man carries Min Soo on his back; the piggyback ride thus begins. The blonde explorer prince apologizes beforehand for carrying him without his approval, but his polite manner of speech made Min Soo blushes instead of being angry at him.

David seems to be stiff, a person who lacks flexibility, and mysterious. However, he knows that David is a kind person under his silent exterior.
