13 Diary 13: Luna King
Leaving behind the colorful city Arachnosia, Min Soo and David travels outside the fashion city borders with horses. The client's meetup place is not that far from the city border, under the orchard tree, Min Soo could vividly see two figures ahead. Up ahead is a brunette young woman like what the administrator said.
The frilly brunette-haired woman wears a somewhat beautiful jade gown from the Victorian era.
The brunette-haired woman waves his hand toward the gentlemen's direction, next to the brunette-haired woman is a blonde-haired girl with similar features to David. The long blonde-haired girl has the same eye colors as David, it is as if they're siblings.
Wearing a Victorian-style dress with the color purple, she bows her head at us gently. The ribbons on her skirts are gigantic but even so, still depict her fashionista images. David sets down from his horse, he shakes his head as soon as he lands his deep blue eyes on the blonde-haired girl.
"I somewhat figured it out that you're the one behind the quest" David sighs. "Let me introduce you to my sister, Luna King".
The blonde-haired girl bows her head politely toward the gentlemen in front of her. The milady introduces herself as Luna King, she is the younger sister of David. Her manners show her astuteness and kindness, different from David who looks uncaring and cold at first glance. Sometimes not even Min Soo knows the real truth of David's personality.
"What a good-looking man, you should have told me if you have a handsome model right next to you" the blonde-haired girl pouts. "As usual, big brother you're being uncooperative".
"I've known you for a while now Luna" David pats his sister's head. "You easily fall in love so easily with your male model, as your brother I am genuinely concerned about your behavior".
It seems like Luna is the type of girl who falls in love easily with handsome looking man, it'll be wise for Min Soo to stay on his best behavior to avoid unnecessary dramas in the future.
"Anyway my name is Luna King, and as you have guessed it! My client Sarah wants to do a photoshoot in Tresli Orchards! The dress is for her dates with-".
"No need to spill the details, Luna! Gosh, what an idiot" Sarah blushes as she covers Luna's big mouth. "Pardon her, good sir! I only want you to guard me against any monsters and demons that approach in Tresli Orchards, it should be fine since not lots of monsters passed by the Orchards".
"But precaution is still necessary" David replies. "I'm sure your family wouldn't want you to get hurt Lady Lasley".
Min Soo is puzzled as to why David refers to her politely, it is as if Sarah carries an important role. The Idol whispers to David about his honorifics which the man replies with a slight smile.
David tells Min Soo that Sarah is a daughter of a privileged family called the Lasley's Family. They reside in the big city called Mardonia, only go to Arachnosia for vacation.
As the daughter of the Lasley's, Sarah is loved and perhaps is going to take over the family burdens which is a politician. It is either Sarah or his younger brother Felix Lasley, the history of the Lasley's is quite legendary.
They're involved in the government's plan to expand the territory against other countries, this also includes in the battle frontline against the demons.
Hearing how influential the woman that they will guard made Min Soo somewhat anxious. The Tresli Orchards are not that far away from Arachnosia, Sarah poses as Luna takes pictures with her camera. While she leisurely takes pictures, David and Min Soo are on standby in case anyone or anything passes by that might threaten the photoshoot process.
Luna is using an old film camera, those that only exist in antique shops in Min Soo's world. It brings him back to the time when he did his modeling. It was a job that he had to do to acquire more money and fame, to overcome his parent's controls. It was his belief all this time, but the more he did it; the more he's exhausted.
"You're reminiscing your Idol's work?" David asks the young man next to him whose thoughts are still in disarray.
"Yes, somewhat" Min Soo answers with a heavy sigh. "You could say I miss my job".
Not long after the Idol's pondering, gooey creatures, appear before them. Showing up from the greenery bushes, the purple-ish creatures look at the four of them. David tells Min Soo to stay on guard, it's a slime the lowest-ranked monster. Even though it appears to be harmless, they may cause casualties if they're grouping.
Min Soo prepares his grimoire, but David tells him to stay behind him all the time.
"These slimes may be harmless, but these might be too much for you! They're poisonous slimes" David warns Min Soo. "Stay behind me all the time Min Soo, cover me".
"Roger" Min Soo nods.
David moves forward as he unsheathed his sword and slash the slimes before they can emit their poisonous fogs. Min Soo backs him up using the previous spells he spoke from before, as the light blue magic sigils show up before him, David slashes the three slimes at the front leaving only two at the back.
Min Soo focuses his spells on the slimes, the water renders them frozen in one place. The water sprays distract them enough to give David enough time to tear them apart. David's display of strength surely surpasses the mage, that part of him makes him look amazing than the others.
These sudden filters make the mage worry about his feelings, it is as if the young man is slowly trapped in an attachment called love. David barely breaks a sweat going against the five wild slimes.
The man gives a thumbs up at Min Soo's for his backup, Min Soo blushes in a few shades of red. He feels something bad will happen to him if he continues to associate himself with the mysterious handsome man with a fiery sword.
