1 It Was A Dream

Below a surface made of pure ice, covering the area as far as the eye could see, lays a vortex , vibrating at an immeasurable frequency, affecting the time and space in the said area.

Thunder quaked, the heavens weeped, but all was serene, at least before a close but distant and ancient voice echoed out, "ThE tImE iS nEaR".

Meanwhile, in a region of space, somewhere in the universe. On a desolate land, covering a large surface area, there was a human, dressed in a white T-shirt spotted with red patches which happens to be his blood.

"Where am I? I was going to take a shot for Davina, but somehow, I blacked out. Was I able to save her or is she...? Maybe I am dead too. Could this be the afterlife?"

The human carried a confused expression while his gaze wandered around, carrying a trace of curiosity.

Some faint but creepy sounds broke the peace of the quiet moment.

Grrrrrrrrr!

The growls which started as faint sounds, got louder and creepier with every passing second as an ominous atmosphere enshrouded the said area.

The human was startled, terrified as if he woke up from a daydream into nightmare, he stared with his eyes bulging, making it seem like the eyeballs were trying to escape from their socket. Right in front of him, stood a huge, humanoid creature carrying an abnormally huge axe dripping with blood as it stared with a menancing gaze.

After a moment of awkward silence,

"H.. i... Hi.... Bud... Buddy", the human waved at the humanoid creature while forcing a smile which was more like a cry. But in a split second, he felt a bone tingling sensation which made him to sidestep unconsciously a few metres to his right at a jaw breaking speed.

BOOM! , a crater was formed at the spot he was half a second ago, the humanoid creature's axe shone with red and menancing light as it was stuck in a domineering pose after its attack. It made a "$@!? " sound as it was shocked and confused as to why the tiny creature was able to dodge its swift attack. With a stomp of its feet, the ground trembled as it shot towards the human who was still oblivious to reason for the chain of things. With a swift reaction, the human was able to dodge the humanoid creatures onslaught, but he wasn't as lucky as the first time because the creature smashed at him with the side of its axe immediately after the human evaded the slash.

BOOM! like a kite that lost its string, he smashed into boulders laying around one after the other as he left a human shaped hole in each.

"aiyaaa! " the human could feel every bone in his body release a not so melodious tune as they cracked due to the consequitve impact. "Blurgh! " he spouted blood, stained with the white color of organs, the ominous footsteps of the creature grew closer.

"Another death after a former death, could that be reincarnation???" the human listened to the steps of the creature with terror painted in the eyes.

Upon getting to human that laid on the floor, the creature made a "@@$!!" sound as if it was showing disdain for the human that couldn't take a single hit. With a growl, it raised its axe up with bloodthirst written in its eyes and in that second, the human stared at the creature with eyes wide open while shivering in fear, but in the next instant, everything turned black.

"Ahhhhh!!!" A boy with a sturdy physique screamed out as he jumped off his bed while sweating profusely.

"It was a dream?? But it felt so realistic!" He exclaimed after taking a minute to calm down.

"Who is Davina by the way???"

The boy placed his hands on his chins as he stares through the window to look at the sky as the sun breaches the cloud, pronouncing its presence for the day.
