8 Ch.08 Listen we need to have a talk

When Remus and Thomas were face to face, I thought that they were going to fight, but when Thomas hugged Remus, I was shocked. Well, so was almost everyone. They were confused as to why the president was there?

Lia was shocked and asked "You are Remus uncle's son? Why didn't you say you are his son?"

I said, "I was going to tell you but I didn't know that your father was my best friend of my father."

Lia said, "How could you not remember that? And why would you gift him a ceremonial dagger?"

I said "About that." I told her about the kidnap attempt and my 'amnesia'

Thomas then walked up to me and smiled and said "Get up son." He hugged me and almost crushed me.

I was barely hanging on when Lia said "Father you are suffocating him." He let me go.

He then laughed and said "I hope you become more powerful than you are now. Because no way I will give my Little Princess to someone weak."

When he said I was confused and said "Excuse me come again?"

He said "I am just joking" I sighed in relief cause I thought I had unknowing proposed Lia. He continued "I accept your marriage to my Little Princess."

I was terrified and said "*Ahem Sir?" He said "Not Sir Father." I continued with a smile on my face "Father I would like to talk to the parties involved in private about this matter."

Thomas was confused and Remus caught on quickly and said "Lets's talk in the Study about this." We then moved to the library and a certain youth was so furious that he crushed the glass that was in his hand.

(In the Study)

The study room of the Riddle mansion was amazing it was made of marble with a grand fireplace on the right side of the room towards the door. The room was filled with books and antiques like old armour used in the Dark Ages. A large Portrait of the great mage Ixar the crimson flame master.

There were sofas in the centre and on the corner of the room was a large table with many chairs.

We sat down on the sofa and I said "I need to apologise I think there has been some sort of Mistake."

Thomas said in a grave tone "What do you mean boy?"

I gulped my saliva and said, "Okay, I didn't know that when I was gifting you that dagger I was asking for Lia's hand in marriage."

Thomas was furious and got up from the seat but Lia stopped him and Remus said "It's true tom. My child has lost his memories from the trauma." Remus then told him everything about the attack and how I have told every single memory about everything.

Thomas then sat down and sighed and said "I feel sorry for you Rem but I don't think I can cancel this marriage."

I was bummed about it and Remus asked "Can I ask why?"

He said "My Business partner Aled Price. Is like a vulture and has been trying to marry his son to my daughter and I can't let that happen."

Remus then said, "I might have a solution then." Everyone was now curiously listening. Remus continued "We can keep their marriage contract to be in public which last about 4 years and after that Lia can cancel it."

Thomas said, "It is acceptable though I would like if he was to marry my daughter, it is also acceptable. What do you say?" He asked Lia and she nodded.

Then Remus said, "Why don't you two talk outside while we catch up and after we are done we will go home?" I nodded and both of us left the room

Thomas asked "Why did you lie about the duration of validity of the contract? It only last's about a year."

Remus then walked up to the bar and opened a bottle of scotch and poured two glasses and said "Same reason you didn't correct me then and there. Because I want our kids to get married."

He then handed one to Thomas and said "Cheers."

Thomas said, " Even though this ceremonial marriage is old and no one really remembers all the rules it is still a problem."

Remus said "I don't think it will be a problem. Most of the history books are gone only very few remains. It will be impossible to find this out."

We both got out of the room and I said "Lia listen I am very sorry for what happened. I shouldn't have done that."

Lia said "It's fine you lost your memories, it's not your fault. I should be thanking you."

I said, "For making Lucas think that I am going to marry you?"

Lia said, "Yes, I am glad that this happened and don't worry I will cancel this contract as soon as I can."

I said, "Thank you and again I am extremely sorry."

She smiled and said, "No need as I said you are not in the wrong here."

I then asked a weird question "So when do we leave for the summit?"

Lia said "You are coming with me?"

I said "I don't really have friends and we both might need to keep up this charade. So that is why I suggest that we go together."

Lia said "You are right. I will be leaving with my friends. from Station no: 5 I think we should meet there how about at 10."

I said "Okay, sounds perfect." I gave my hand.

Then Lucas showed up and said "Hello, there." Lia's mood dropped and I was getting a bit irritated and I said "Can I help you?"

Lucas said "I wanted to congratulate the new couple." He gave the hand towards Lia, so I grabbed his hand and said "Thank you for being the first person to congratulate us." He was fuming and he kind of started to squeeze my hand. I looked at him and it felt amazing it was like I was dealing with a brat.

Lia looked at me and was about to step in so I also started to squeeze his hand and a crunch was heard. and he screamed and I said, "That's it?" I looked at Lia and I said "This is the guy really?"

She rolled her eyes and pointed her fingers at Lucas's hand and said "Grant me the power to heal my ally and to let them fight again" a rune was formed and a purplish-green light fell on his hand and it fixed his hand.

I then got closer to Lucas and grabbed him by his head and said "Listen to me now boy, You are going to keep clear of us if you see us you will change direction. We don't want to see your face again" I then lightly slapped his cheeks and said "Answer me, Lucas...Do you understand?"

He was terrified and said, "I understand."

I said, "Then what are you doing here?" He then went away and I turned around and said "Let's get something to eat I have been drinking for a long time."

Lia nodded her head sideways and sighed and we went to the hall to get something to eat. After we got to the hall many people came to congratulate us. There were many dishes like a shrimpish creature but it was purple.

I was eating the shrimp and Lia said "Let me introduce you to my friends." She then hauled me to a more lively section of the hall. And I also found that Lia is very strong regardless of her figure.

She then said, "Guys I want you to meet Edmund Knight." Her friends were all girls, which was not that surprising. They all looked from high society.

Standing 5' 0" tall, this red-skinned girl has a confident feel about her. A particularly notable feature is her nice smile. She has a narrow face, a big nose, angled lips, and puffy dark red eyes. Her pale yellow hair, decorated with a rainbow of coloured dye, his long hair tied in a bun. She has feminine arms, a wide waist, and muscular legs.

"Edith Jordan her father Michael Jordan is the leading scientist in our aeronautics dept."

"Jessie Pearce she is the daughter of the Pearce Law firm's named partner Harry Pearce."

Standing 4' 10" tall, this light-skinned girl has an unassuming feel about her.

She has a narrow face, a stubby nose, and angled lips. Her dark brown eyes are small and she has plucked eyebrows. She has shoulder-length, straight, dark grey hair. She has long arms, a long torso with a narrow waist, angular hips, and weak legs.

"Polly Hunt her father runs the biggest guild under top 10 currently at top 6 named Bounty Dominion."

Standing 5' 2" tall, this pale-skinned woman has an expressive feel about her.

She has a round face with a rounded jaw, a large nose, small lips, and narrow blue eyes. Her black hair, dyed with henna, is knee-length, frizzy and is worn in twists. She has short arms, a thin torso, a defined waist, broad hips, and short legs.

I smiled and said, "It's a pleasure to meet all of you." They looked at me in amazement and I asked Lia "What is happening?"

Lia said, "I don't know."

Polly said, "We are just a bit overwhelmed you are the son of the president and you look so handsome." I looked at her and said "What?"

Polly said, "I am sorry I get talkative when I get nervous."

I said "No need to be nervous. You are my fiance's friend you can be casual with me."

After that, all of them eased up a bit. And we then just talked for a while. Then I saw my father calling me so I said "Well, this has been wonderful ladies, but it looks like my father is calling me, so I should go now." I took Lia's hand and kissed her knuckles and said "I must leave now. I will meet you at the station at 10."

I then looked at the girls and waved and then walked towards my father and he said "It looks like you are enjoying this."

I said "Maybe? But the real question is where is the master?"

Remus said, "Don't worry about him he already left."

I said, "So I suppose we should just go now."

He then opened a portal and we stepped into it. This was my first time in the portal and it felt like my whole body had been disintegrated and I had no form but after I stepped out I was there again. It was very weird maybe when I am at the summit I can learn about this as well.

We reached home the portal opened in the hall and I saw a woman in the hall it was my mother.
