7 Ch.07 The drama at the Party.

I looked around the hall and found Lia was wearing a dress that leaves her shoulders uncovered, instead, it's supported around her neck and flows down into a delicate cowl neckline. It's a snug fit that emphasizes her Chest in an elegant and dignified manner.

Her arms are only covered at her shoulders. Which not only helps accentuate her gorgeous skin, it also keeps the focus on other parts of the dress.

The dress' waist is narrow, but it's a slim fit. It's not decorated with anything to create a graceful, flowing look.

Below the waist, the dress widens and has several asymmetric layers towards the bottom. The dress reaches well above her ankles and is longer at the sides and back of the dress.

She's wearing platforms, which matches the dress perfectly. To top it all off she's wearing a gorgeous necklace and several elegant bracelets.

She was talking to some girls in the corner. I walked up to her and said "I suppose you didn't want me here?"

She turned around and saw me and was very much surprised she stepped away from the crowd and took me to a quieter corner of the hall and asked, "What are you doing here?"

I said "Attending the party of course."

She was confused and asked, "How did you even get in I gave you a fake invite."

I said, "Thank you for admitting that. But as it turns out we already had an invite to this party so it was easy for us to get in."

She asked, "I am sorry for giving you the fake invite but my father would have punished me if I had invited anyone to his party."

I said, "Oh, I understand you fully Lia." I saw her relax a bit and continued "But I am a man that always follows through with my promises and I promised my father that I will be here, so here I am."

She was curious and asked, "Who is your Father?"

I said, "I will introduce you when he comes." I ushered a waiter and he came with Champaigne I took two fresh glasses and gave one to her and said "In the meantime why don't we enjoy this beautiful evening."

She smiled and asked, "So what are your interests?"

I took a sip and said "Learning new kind of magic and music. What about you?"

She said, "I like to research the old history of the continent and the old magic used by us."

We then talked for some time about magic theories and the seemingly forgotten history of the continent. The lack of religion in this Continent.

I then asked, "Were you born in this mansion?"

She said "No, we used to live in a different city across the continent. My father has to travel a lot because of his business. But now that the business is set up we don't need to move and he specifically chose this city because of his best friend."

I said "Best friend?"

She said "My father doesn't have a whole lot of friends. He has a few who he holds dear. This best friend of my father is supposed to come today. He finally made time to meet with my father. They both haven't met each other in ages."

I sipped some champagne and said, "I hope that he meets his Freind today."

A guy walked up to us he looked our age, standing 6'2" tall and willowy with fair skin, this man has an attentive feel about him. He has known pale red eyes and his very short, straight, white hair is buzz cut.

He's wearing a standard shirt and buttoned it up fully to support the graceful bow tie he's wearing. On top of the shirt, he's wearing a classy vest with 5 buttons.

The jacket perfectly wraps around his body. It has a wide herringbone pattern which gives the suit a classy and graceful look. The 3 buttons of his double-breasted jacket, add a casual touch to an elegant look.

The jacket is longer at the back, it has a vent at the back, there are two pockets on either side and there's a breast pocket that contains a stylish pocket square.

He's wearing pants that have the same colour Black as the jacket, but a slightly different pattern and they make an ideal combination with his shoes. He's wearing a sharp pair of black leather shoes.

He interrupted us and said, "Hey there Lia."

She said unenthusiastically "Hey Lucas" he looked at me with contempt in his eyes and said, "And who might you be?"

I said, "I am her friend, might I ask about the nature of your relationship?" I saw that his eyes were red with anger. He was about to do something, something stupid.

Lia jumped at the chance and said "Lucas you should leave." He looked at me and I smiled at him, he hesitantly left.

I smiled and looked at him and asked Lia "He doesn't look like someone who lets grudges go. How did you meet with him?"

Lia said "Our fathers are colleagues. And his father is pushing for our marriage but my father doesn't want that so there is a bit of drama between us."

I said, "It looks like he likes you too much."

She said "That is the problem when I was in a Different school than him some guy proposed to me and he broke that guy's legs to scare guys off. He has a history of anger issues.

Honestly, I don't want anything to do with him and now he is going to the Central summit same as me. He would make my life a living hell."

I said, "Yikes, seems like a lot of trouble dealing with him. Well anyway where is your father?"

She said, "He is over there talking to his business partner Why?"

I said, "Well, he is the birthday boy, you thought I wouldn't bring any gift." I showed her a gift wrap box.

She said, "I don't think it is a good idea."

I said, "Why not?"

She said, "Fine don't get your hopes up."

We then went towards them and I saw my father and signalled him to come at Thomas he gave me a thumbs up. We stopped in front of him and I looked at this guy and was Thomas Riddle the number one Businessman on this continent.

Standing 6' 5" tall, this bronze-skinned man has a prideful feel about him.

He has an oval face with a round chin, a straight nose, ears that stick out and large lips. His blood-red eyes are little, and he has angular eyebrows.

He has shoulder-length, wavy, red coloured hair which is sat freely on his shoulder, and he has a goatee.

He has toned arms and large hands, a broad torso with a straight waist, and strong legs.

Thomas said, "Yes, young man?"

I said, "I would like to wish you a happy birthday." I gave him the Box. He happily accepted. and I said, "I would love it if you could just open the present?" He amused me and opened the box and I had hoped for a good reaction but instead, I got a bad one.

As he opened the box and took out the Ruby Dagger, he had bloodshot eyes his eyes had contempt and he started to suppress me with magic it was unbearable I shot down on my knee and everyone started to look our way. I was barely keeping it together and he said "You Dare give me this? Who do you think you are boy?"

I was confused as to what the big deal was and I heard my father's voice "He is my son." and the pressure was gone. I was finally able to breathe. and I saw my father face to face with Thomas.

And they both looked like they were about to throw down and then Thomas said "You Bastard." And moved like lightning and I expected him to throw a punch or kick him but he hugged him.

And said, "I call you all those times and now you show up?"

Almost everyone at the party was now confused. Remus patted his back and said, "Well, being a president is a hard job."
