3 Ch.03 Is it like an Ivy league school?

Father returned home after a few days. He looked tired. I can't relate to it the man was a president to an entire continent I can't even imagine the workload that this guy had to endure.

So I decided not to disturb him and I just kept practising my magic as earlier there are Elemental magic, special Elemental magic and specialization classes.

I didn't know about specialized classes but knew about special elements like Electric, poison, ice and some other obscure elements which are said to be non-usable like blood.

I just practised small elemental magic with fire, water, air and earth. It is said that all can use the elements but it was way hard to master them all.

I was practising magic in my room.

"Take my enemies with your wild winds, Tempest". A controlled storm was created which was not that hard to control but was not a good idea to create a storm in a room my books were now caught in the storm.

Remus entered the room and saw a small storm in the room and his son trying to stop it. A sense of pride came to me seeing my son using magic.

Remus said "If you wanted to practice magic you could have used the training ground"

I was startled and said, "Father when did you get here?"

When I said that he had a small frown and said "I am here to talk to you about the school you will be joining." he then said, "Follow me."

He had my interest because I didn't want to join a regular public school and repeat the events that occurred and I said "Where are we going?"

He said, "We are going to the training facility." I followed him I didn't have the chance to explore the Castle because Mack wouldn't let me I could only go to the garden and the library with escorts. So it was a nice change of pace. And when I say castle I mean Castle-ish because it had so much modern feel to it that it didn't feel like a castle.

We reached the training facility on the third floor on the left wing in the last room on the corridor. We entered and I saw a huge Room it was the size of a small Football field it was about 40*50 in size it was plated with the metal it also had weapons like daggers and staff and bows and other weapons. Into the distance was some practice dummies.

Remus turned around and said "This is the training facility I used as a kid. The walls are made of magic absorbing alloy so that you don't damage the room, the room also has some weapons, Now show me your best spell."

I said "Okay." I moved towards the dummies and chanted "Burn my enemies to cinders leave no to survive INFERNO." a pure crimson red flame shot towards the dummy and burned it to a crisp. Remus looked proud and somewhat surprised for some reason.

He then said "You, my son are a prodigy, you can use it flawlessly without losing control. You are amazing."

He could be praising me because I was his son or he could be genuinely be praising me I don't know the standards of the world yet so it was difficult for me to know.

I then asked, "You were talking about the school that I will be attending?"

He then made a serious face and said "Central Summit Academy for Magic."

I recognised the name it was a school that all the elite members of society were able to enter either through recommendation or if you have a high score in M.S.E.T (Magic school entrance test). It was located on top of a fairly large island in the centre of the west side of the planet, in the Humry Ocean which was closer to Eipia and the island was called Millhurst Isles and the school was non-biased so anyone could join.

I said, "Okay I will enter the school." Remus was surprised so I asked "Were you hoping for more resistance?" he nodded and I said "After that incident, I would like to stay in an environment that is safe. No one in their right mind would dare to attack Central summit it has children of high-status parents from across the globe. So it is the safest place I can be."

Remus looked a bit sad and said "I am sorry because of me you can't have a normal childhood like every other kid."

I said "It's not your fault, that I was kidnapped, I know that I won't have a quiet life but it is fine. We can't control everything."

Remus said, "You are right son. Well anyway the school will begin on Nalelaph 40"

I said, "That is about 1 month from now."

He then said, "You better start packing then." he then left me in the training facility and I started to train my magic.

I was standing in the training facility and front of me was a huge guy. Remus has now given me an instructor to train me in self-defence.

He was one big guy he was about 7'2" he was jacked had short grey hair and had a magnificent beard like his beard was the most amazing beard I had ever seen. He said, " You are that brat's son, let's see how do you fare." I was now worried as to how will this month pass.

He said "My name is Yaulkauf Klaus. I was father's guard and his master and now I am your master I will make you into a fine blade, you will be able to protect yourself as well as protect someone else."

He said "I will be teaching you Ngobambo which is a defensive and offensive martial art that focuses on outmanoeuvring your opponent through subtle body shifts to deflect your opponent's attacks and create openings to retaliate. The primary focus lies on both shifts in balance and elbow jabs and it often relies on the reflexes and endurance of the defender.

The biggest strength of Ngobambo is the way your opponents' attacks are used against them. By manipulating the sense of balance of your challenger your opponent tends to overexert themselves, allowing you to capitalize on your biggest strengths.

On the other hand, the biggest weakness of Ngobambo is a lack of ground techniques. Once you're on the ground it's really difficult not to leave an exploitable opening."

I heard it and it sounded very difficult he then said "Don't look so worried you brat I will only teach you basics and you will progress if you have talent. It is an easy martial art but is hard to master."

From that moment my life became a bit harder but more entertaining. Master made some adjustments to my daily routine I now had to wake up at 5:00 am every morning and run about 5K and do 50 pushups and 50 squats, then came the stretching techniques.

This martial arts was suited towards ranged or very fast-paced close combat. As such there were mostly three types of weapons used Bow, Staff or Daggers.

After about 3 weeks my body was becoming more agile and faster and I was becoming more dead from the inside my everything hurt. and after about 2 weeks he increased my regiment to be a 10k and 100 pushups and squats. I was in the training facility and was brain dead master was screaming something which I didn't fully grasp and he said "Wake up you brat!" I was startled and said, "I am up I am up."

Master then asked, "What did I just say now?" I said "I don't know" He then said, "Pick a weapon, you idiot." I nodded and three weapons were in front of me a pair of daggers, a bow and a staff. I choose the daggers.

He then said, "Now for the last three weeks you will learn how to wield a dagger and how to use it."

I knew that this was going to be bad. The thing that was positive from all this exercise was that my magic control has also increased. I was now able to use magic more effectively.

I just hope that the last 3 weeks are a bit more smooth.
