8 The Sleeping King

The captain was surprised. It was a hunter. A species that is feared throughout the continent, and it was killed just like that. Is it a miracle? Or is that guy really strong? The captain couldn't help it came towards the naked boy.

"Who are you?"

The naked boy was thinking something. He was staring at the captain the eyes were unfocused. "Oh! Captain. Right on time. Your teammates are ok except Borobo and the new guy."

"Really are they ok?" the captain knew about the wound that he had given them, they could certainly heal, but they will need to rest at least for a day.

The boy understood the thought of the captain, "The blood liquid coated arrow that you had taken are special. They had special healing property." the boy said with a bright smile.

But that didn't catch to the captain's eye. The moment he heard about the arrow the thought of Kiria stuck him.

"And Kiria?" the captain wasn't hoping for a good news.

Hearing the question the boy gave a hearty smile "Don't worry captain he is perfectly alright. Actually, he never left Alentia."

"Can you please put something on?" Suddenly Mayumi shouted.

With the cry, the captain also remembered that he was still talking to a naked boy without giving him anything to cover. With Mayumi's words even he felt a little embarrassed.

"Why?" The boy turned around and asked.

"TURN TO OTHER WAY," Mayumi shouted again.

"Why should I?" The boy asked curiously

"BECAUSE you are the one who is naked" Mayumi was agitated to the extreme.

"If you don't want to look, look to another way. Who told you to look" The boy said and went towards the mud stupa.

"Don't do it Kisa. If you saw him you have to marry him. And believe me, you really don't want to marry such a shameless guy." Mayumi said with a very serious tone.

"What?" Kisa was beyond surprised. She even stopped struggling to see the boy. "Really? Marry him? Why I have to marry him?"

"You don't know anything. My Father had told me a lot of time that if I look at a naked boy or man I have to marry him. Believe me, it's true." Mayumi was really serious.

"So you will marry me. Right?" Nobody knew how or when the boy appeared close to them.

Both the girls jumped into a fright.

"Why? Why should I?" Mayumi was flustered again to talk, as she stammered.

"Was your father a liar?" The boy asked in a serious tone.

With the question, Mayumi was furious again." My father never lied"

"Then you have to marry me"

"Why?" Mayumi was flushed red.

"But you have seen everything"

"No, I hadn't" Her whole face was red. "You didn't put on anything that wasn't my fault"

"I came out of the blob butt naked, how you expect me to have a cloth when that poison even dissolves bone." The boy said innocently "If you really didn't want to see then you would have given me something to cover up."

"I didn't want to see anything. But you were naked in front my eyes, and I don't want to marry you" Mayumi was really depressed.

But the boy said in a sad voice "If you don't want to marry me then who will marry me?"

"Why?" Hearing the word Mayumi was surprised.

"My mother also said to me, If a girl saw you naked and don't marry you, then nobody will marry you in this life," The boy said innocently.

"Really? You are not lying?" Mayumi was a little suspicious.

"Why should I? It's a matter of life and death to me" The Boy was dead serious.

"But I don't want to marry you." Mayumi was in a dilemma

"Ok. You don't have to worry about me, be happy" The boy almost cried while speaking "Marry someone whom you like and forget what you saw today"

Mayumi was suddenly surprised with the sound. Suddenly she realised the boy was jumping up and down holding his butt.

She also heard the angry voice "Don't bully my niece." What surprised her most was the owner of the voice was Kisa.

On the other hand, the slap came with a shock to the boy. And it really hurt like a hell. The captain couldn't resist laughing. The captain came with a bear pelt cloth and gave it to the boy. Don't know whether it was due to the Slap or for any other reason The boy humbly accepted the cloth with a deep bow and put it on without a word.

"Who are you?" Mayumi was furious, "Where is Kisa?"

"Listen to me Mayumi, I am your aunt, I came here to protect you." Kisa tried to explain it desperately.

"Stop lying to me. I knew Kisa. She was just a child, you can't be Kisa"

"She is Kisa. She had promised your mother to protect you. Why she was a child you will know from her if you just listen to her," The boy said.

"Who are you? Why do you know?" Mayumi didn't lose her temper.

"I am Knix Edan. Here under the mission to protect you. From your father's side." The boy looked up and said in a resolute voice "But you can call me 'The Sleeping King'."

In the continent of ILND, other than simply evolve wild beast there are 3 other regions where the beast evolved differently. Firstly there was Frontier beast, they were the first one to appear on the continent. They made their name with their ferocity.

After Frontier beast appeared all the human became wary of the beast. Human started to hunt beast even before they could grow. The direct effect falls on the beast forest which was at the west of the continent. Human started to hunt them without mercy, even started to cut down the forest too. That took the toll on the beasts. They retaliated. The force that was spearheading the attack was annihilated just before they could reach the core region. The whole kingdom that initiated the attack was annihilated not even a child remain.

Soon they started their invasion. None could retaliate until they meet the nature fairies. The nature fairy could be anything from a tree to rock, even a swamp or mountain can be a nature fairy. As they hold against them, reinforcement arrived. The beasts were sent back to the place from where the forest originally started.

The forest becomes to known as 'Chaos Beast Forest'. Though people still hunt beast at the forest for the material, they always avoid going anywhere deeper. There is a place known as 'BeLong City'. People say that is the place where the golden dragon reign over the whole forest.

Some people named the forest "The draconian forest", whereas the last beast forest was called "The Amiable Beast forest" as it is ruled by a Qilin.

Taking the history of Chaos beast forest as an example, Nobody tried to invade it. Though there was some record of the beast tide, still there was nothing major. But no Kingdom grew around it. There are 5 regions between the forest and the nearest kingdom, Brann Queendom of a fire elemental. They were ruled by independent lords. In return for their independence, the will act as the first line of defence for other.

Minerva City, Capital of Land of Jord.

Land of Jord, home of earthen elementals, always in a different mood. The natural defence made it an impenetrable natural fortress. Some say it's not a natural defence, some believed that the first earthen council made it that way.

The Earthen council supervise the life in the land of Jord. Unlike the kingdom of fire or water elemental, the Earth elemental lived in a society of equality and peace. The Earthen council was here to make the decision about the whole land of Jord. There was no law here.

All people go through military training, normal schooling and everything free of cost. Above all, they are united, not under a king rather in name of Mother Jord, The earth.

But the Earthen council was now facing a dilemma that was a threat to the land. The Earthen council were made of Elementals who became elemental king, the very top existence of the elementals.

There was no palace or anything, there was just a cave, The Sacred cave of Mother Jord, which was always used as the council meeting room.

There were 7 high positions. Only 6 people were sitting there. 4 of them had a human body where 2 were the earthen puppet.

"Riguro is missing again." The man with the brown beard said with a smile.|

"He might be sleeping somewhere." One of the old earthen puppets said: "Let the messenger come in."

"Come in" The voice of Brownbeard echoed in the cave. The Brownbeard was the youngest Elemental king, so he had to do all the tedious work. But he wasn't even agitated about the things. He thinks what he was doing, was doing for the land of Jord, and that meant he was serving the mother.

As the door opened, a fully armoured man came it. As soon he entered he kneeled on the ground and said: " In the name of Mother Jord, I am Kinoya Darkus, 2nd general of the sleeping king, Frontier Military Academy City, here to bear the news from my king?"

"Whose king is that?" One of the Earthen Puppet asked

"That's the Academy of the Frontier nation. Most of the top guns of many nations are from that academy, The King of Aqua Marina, 2 of the empire's 5-star generals, Lord of City of Rudra are from there and many more" The Brownbeard replied. As the newest elemental king, he has to keep the news of the various nations around them.

"So why don't we have any them?" An old man asked

"Because we never send anyone there."

"Isn't he one of us?" the old man pointed at the Kinoya

"Yes, I am, in the name of the Mother Jord, an earth elemental," Kinoya said with pride.

Though there was one day he was sent out of the military academy of Jord, he still belongs to this land, to Mother Jord. And he will certainly take it as his pride, whether they accepted him or not.

"You said you are a general, how high that post is?" Another asked.

"The academy hold 4 Kings and 16 Generals, I ranked 6th," Kinoya said with pride.

"How many soldiers do you lead?"

"1000"

"Which elemental level are you?"

"Councilman aren't we diverting from the main topic?" Brownbeard cautiously said

"Yes, yes." one of the old men smiled shamelessly

"Messenger what message do you bear?"

"I, in the name of Sleeping King, bear the letter of great importance." He raised the letter upwards.

"Hum" As Brownbeard made the sound a flat stone appeared in front of Kinoya. Kinoya carefully placed the letter on it. As soon as he did it went away from him to the councilmen, one by one all of them read this.

'Surprise' is not the word that could explain the expression of them.

"Do your king really think that it is some kind of game?" One of them asked

"My king never dare to do this type of thing."

"Silence," The Oldest elemental king said. "This is not a decision that your King could take"
